Ok, took my FS version back to the store. I couldn't stand it, I'd rather have a nonworking ws version than a working fs version. I had the guy open a brand new box to get me the ws edition. Brought it home, popped it in my dvd player and bam, all the disks worked like a charm. I told you pricks it wasn't my dvd player. They had had like 7 to 9 copies returned, so it was indeed the batch.

The only problem I've had so far is on one of the featurettes on the bonus disc freezing up, and that was only on one player, it worked on another.

So far the new changes haven't bothered me too much. Nothing has made me really cringe yet, anyway. I thought the change in the Emperor's dialog in ESB wasn't really needed... and I wish they'd gotten rid of the crappy Jabba scene in ANH instead of trying to make it better,.. but everything looks sounds so much better than I ever remember it, so it's kind of a trade-off.

My full screen copy has some kind of problem that causes white light to wash onto the picture, as if there were some damn kid down in the front row with a flashlight, shining it up at the screen. Most annoying...

Also, can ANY of you hairless primates explain to me why Darth Vader's ghost is his younger self, while Yoda And Obi-Wan are the same age as when they died? I didn't think so.

Obi so could have beat Vader's ass into the ground, and show him who was still master, but instead he just stood there and let Vader take a cheap shot in the gut.

Er, that was beside the point.

*(Devours Kjølen noisily and leaves the bones on the floor.)*

Rogue 15, the white flashes are during the lightsaber battle, the Millenium Falcon's escape, arriving at Yavin, the pilots' briefing, Luke and Han's farewell in the hangar bay, the X-wing assault on the Death Star...etc., etc. All three movies.

But not the *bonus material* DVD. Ha-hah. Very funny. I want my freaking money back.
