I always thought it would be the death of Amidala but i was discussin it last night in the pub with a dude and he reminded me that Leia mentions that she remembers things about her mother so i dont see how she can die (immediatly anyway)

I don't really know how Anakin will specifically fall to the Dark side, but I've heard of this speculation: There are numerous allusions, particularly in the Return of the Jedi novel, to the event when Anakin fights Obi Wan. It's hinted that the duel takes place over a volcano or a pool of lava. Anakin falls into the molten rock and Obi Wan, most likely believing him dead, leaves. Anakin manages to survive somehow, but has to wear a life support suit and a breathing apparatus just to stay alive. This life support system is the black armor he wears when he's Darth Vader. However, it's not known if that's what actually happened, as the wording is very open ended and can easily be taken figuratively rather than literally. I would imagine that things may very well turn out differently if Lucas has been thinking it over for the last twenty-five years. Still, it's an interesting depiction of Anakin's fall. My guess is that there will probably be more events similar to slaughtering the Tuskens in Episode II, which, combined with the possibility of Padme's death, eventually comes to a head when the great duel between master and apprentice commences. You don't just turn evil overnight; the path to darkness usually takes the gradual "slippery slope" route. This is purely speculation on my part. And please...DON'T TELL ME IF I'M RIGHT! I want to be suprised when I see Revenge of the Sith in theaters.

I know that the allusions exist as to what happens when Obi Wan fights Anakin but the only one ive been able to find is in the novelisation of Return of the Jedi, when Vader is dying he remembers lava on his back or somethin like that. is there more than that on what happens? Does that mean Anakin becomes Darth Vader before being put into the suit? I was thinking maybe being put into the suit might have been part of the reason for his falling to the dark side
