Dragonball Fan Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Now, is it me... or does this game look like crap? I keep wondering how Lucasarts could make Bounty Hunter in 2002 that has better graphics than a game that's going to come out in 2005. Quite amazing. LucasArts seems to like out-doing themselves in crappiness ^_^. Note the LA: Stick to out-sourcing your games.
RedHawke Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Being that the game is for consoles only (Xbox and PS2 I believe)... of course it won't be as pretty as a PC platform game... oh well... don't have, or really want, a console anyway.
FiEND_138 Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 [/YODA] Graphics not make games great [/YODA] Anyways, yeah I'm looking forward to it.
Venom750 Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 I think some of you lot are to hung up on PC vs CONSOLES i think you need to chill out. I think the game looks alright.
Hannibal Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 I agree with Venom, it looks great. IMO In no way does Bounty Hunter look better.
Aleggy Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 from the trailer i've seen and the screenshots i've seen the game does look like its gonna be good and yet i am going to reserve judgement unil i've actually played it
RebelScum! Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 I think the game will be great...If it was coming out for pc of Gamecube.
Dragonball Fan Posted November 15, 2004 Author Posted November 15, 2004 It also looks like one of those hack n' slash "RPG's" like the LOTR games. and I hated the LOTR games.
Hannibal Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 I think it's an action game. I don't think its an RPG at all. So it would be considered a "hack n' slash". I don't think LucasArts is going to try and pretend like this is an RPG like EA tried to do with those LOTR games. That was pathetic.
Dragonball Fan Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
Aleggy Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 well at looking at the screenshots i've seen for the game i would say hannibal is correct i suspect they want this to be a 'star wars experience' so it'll probably be hack n slash, use force powers, hack n slash some more, use force powers to solve puzzle & then hack n slash every last enemy you can find
RedHawke Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 ^^^^ Every once in a while a game with a little, or a LOT, of "Hack-N-Slash" is a good and noble thing! Spamming Force Lightning or other such attacks against hordes of opponents does have its place in the gaming world IMHO.
Venom750 Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 It might be like the phantom mence game. I never could beat Darth Maul The F*@K*"R
boinga1 Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 You mean Jedi Powers Battles? Awesome game. Graphics suxxored, but tight gameplay and combos. ONLY for PSX and DREAMCAST, of course. The EP3 game looks almost identical, only with better graphics of course. They oughtta make it for all the major platforms, since this is sort of the "grand finale" for Star Wars movie-based games. Oh well. Maybe my parents'll let us get a PS2 someday.

Mono_Giganto Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 The game looks good from the trailer, and lucky me I don't have to participate in the PC vs console debate. I have both.
Acaciah Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 I think the Ep III game looks pretty sweet; I'll be getting it, since I have the Xbox and PC. Speaking of the Xbox, I haven't got my greedy mitts on TSL yet, due to the fact that my amour says he's getting me it for Christmas, and he won't give it to me early, dammit! Sad thing is, due to mods, I'll probably buy the PC version in Feb anyway.
FiEND_138 Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Sorry for bumping this ancient thread..... Anyways, the site over at LA's live now packed with a bunch of new screens, art, some videos, etc. Just wanted to let any who were interested know..... Link.
Derc Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Hmmm...now this presents another dilemma... Which one to do first? Watch the movie(May 19), or play the game(May 5)? Or maybe read the book(April 2) first? Hmm...
montnoir Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Best Episode 3 experience in 10 easy steps: 1. Watch the teaser 2. Don't watch any trailers 3. Buy the book, DON'T read it, not even the back cover. 4. Buy the game, DON'T play it 5. Buy the soundtrack, DON'T listen to it 6. Buy the comics, DON'T read them 7. Go to the thatre on May 19, watch episode 3 8. Go home and start reading the book and the comics, listen to the music and play the game 9. Go to the theatre on May 20 and see Episode 3 10.
