Darth Groovy
I want to get something for my XBOX, any recomendations? How are they with batteries and stuff? What is the best brand...etc.
Neverhoodian
Well, I don't have any wireless controllers for my Xbox, but I have two Wavebirds for my GameCube. They were just dandy for about a year, then one of them suddenly went haywire. The other one's worked like a charm to this very day. Go figure. Battery life is pretty long for those things; I usually only have to change batteries every five to six months or so. If you're tired of unravelling twisted game cords (especially if you have multiple systems), wireless isn't a bad option to look into.
Treacherous Mercenary
I'll be looking into getting a wireless controller, but if you want quality, I highly recommend Logitech for just $50, the battery life is 50 hours on four batteries, but I think 300 without vibration. Only downside the headset for live... The wireless headset from Logitech is $80. Too much for my liking.
ZBomber
All I know is that my Computer mouse has to have it's batteries changedl ike EVERY 2 weeks. So, if the controllers are anythign without my mouse, I'd just stick with a wire. I use wired controllers for Gamecube, I'll have to ask my friend about XBox
El Sitherino
wireless console controllers suck. Best advice I can give you is don't get one. I got one for my PS2 once, thing sucked out-f*cking-loud. I spent 40 bucks on it too. Thing caused so much bad lag for me, crapped my skills. I definitely wouldn't use it for fps games especially one like Halo(2)
Guest Jed
Wavebirds for the GC are the only good wireless controller I've ever used. Over and out.

Leper Messiah
i dunno wireless controllers tend to not work right at the critical moment of a game where precise button pressing is of the essence

In an Official Xbox Magazine, I read that "The buttons feel like they would break if you pressed then too hard" and also "the controller broke within 2 weeks, but oddly enough the fan still worked" So I would look out for some other controllers. Treacherous Mercenary
Nyko and Madcatz seem to be among some of the companies that make their stuff cheap and low quality.. Just a thought.
BongoBob
Grooves, trust me, don't get one. The ONLY good wireless controller is Wavebird for Gamecube. My grandma bought me a wireless controller for XBOX and i was really excited(my room = cordland). I plugged it in, adn went to play games, and guess what. It worked! For an hour. Then something went amazingly wrong. Exchanged it for a new one, did the same thing. Got my grandmas money back and told her to buy me something else because that one would not work. She was madder than Kain at the store, and ended up buying me Knights of the Old Republic and lunch. Hope I was helpfull in steering you away from hell

I know because I picked it out yesterday. Normally I like to lay back on my queen size bed, and play my games, I hate the restraints of wires. I ditched the headset, now the wires on the controll are next. I will probably hold out for more reviews, or a better controller. No rush, I have an extension on one of my controllers, but sometimes I get drunk and trip over the damn thing on my way to the can, THUS the need for a "wireless" controller! Evil Dark Jedi
I once played with a wireless control on my friends PS2. It caused so much trouble playing it. Never tried the Xbox one though.
Mex
The only good controller I know is one made my Joytech, it got 5/5 in a review. See if you can find that.
