That would be Anakin (presumeably, but it definitely rules out Luke). So if there is a chosen one it is most likely Anakin. Especially if the episode 2 TV spots are to be believed. Mercy is a weakness to the Sith, and Anakin couldn't live with himself unless he showed mercy upon Luke... and when that brought Anakin back to the light side, the loophole that allowed him to return to his destiny of the chosen one who would bring an end to the dark age of the Empire. The reason is Anakin was the catalyst to bring about balance to the force however it was his children that acomplished this. The Darkside of the force was well in control of the empire prior to Anakins birth it was like a festering wound continuing to grow underneath the nose of The jedi who had started to become corrupt and more pawns for the republic than actual guardians. The Rise of Darth Vader and the Empire was the culmination of centuries of decay and the Dark side having control. It took the birth of Anakin's children Luke and Leia to restore balance to the force by bringing the light side back into control. B: Jedi are not subject to the Testosterone problem that you refer to. All jedi are trained early on to disregard those urges since they lead to the Darkside. 90SK Posted January 6, 2005 Share Posted January 6, 2005 Remember, Anakin and Darth Vader are ultimately two beings. Comparing Luke to Anakin, Anakin is more powerful, but untamed and emotional. Luke, on the other hand, is at relative peace with himself, while slightly less masterful than Anakin. Ultimately they're both hard to compare, since they were in very different scenarios.
