Astrotoy7
http://edition.cnn.com/2005/US/01/12/wmd.search/index.html The United States is taking steps to determine how it received erroneous intelligence that deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was developing and stockpiling nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Wednesday I can still picture that jackass Colin Powell sitting in front of the UN security council with his 'compelling evidence' of Saddams WMD capabilities.... *ROFL* man, with a government like that, I extend my condolences to all you U.S LFers Now we can all get back to: *Helping OJ search for the 'Real Killers' *Finding Waldo *Waiting for the second coming *Waiting for EpIII *sigh* mtfbwya
Samuel Dravis
And...how is that particularly amazing? We've known that it was likely to be the case for a long time. I think they should have started 'taking steps' much earlier.

Leper Messiah
theyll blame it on the British Government, their great friends and staunch allies through tough times oops thats the description from the "theyre doing as we told them to" sheet, heres the "we need a scapegoat" one: the British Government and Intelligence Forces which provided a class one lie based on a shamelessly stolen student report or some such which we the american government had no way of checking for ourselves before parading it before the UN security council. toms
Still, at least it meant that people got to see the world, travel, that sort of thing. Someone should rally organise the world's largest "I TOLD YOU SO!" event where those of us with no intelligence sources can point and laugh at the supposedly well informed. If only they had listened to Jack Bauer! He tried to tell them that the evidence was forged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neverhoodian
Something tells me this is going to be moved to the Senate Chambers... Originally posted by Astrotoy7 I can still picture that jackass Colin Powell sitting in front of the UN security council with his 'compelling evidence' of Saddams WMD capabilities.... Meh, I think he was bullied by the administration into giving that dubious "evidence." He's always advocated diplomacy over military action. It's no secret that he's been dissatisfied with how Bush is running things, hence his subsequent leaving of the cabinet. Quite frankly, I'm sad to see him go, as he was one of the cooler heads and a voice of reason in the administration. Originally posted by TiE 23 Well, won't Bush's face be red when the people find this one. I doubt he'll even hear about it. He doesn't read newspapers, y'know. With each day the occupation continues, more soldiers, in particular young peoples lives are needlessly lost. Ooo 'www.defendamerica.mil' let me scratch my head and pretend there wont be any bias on that site. boinga1
I still can't believe America was foolish enough to re-elect Bush after this tremendous fiasco (and waste of time) in Iraq. Nothing has been accomplished, neither country has been made truly more secure, and Americans are dying daily (this seems to be the most important bit to the rednecks over here). Yet, we gave the same moron four more years. Unbeleievable.
El Sitherino
Not to mention Afghan elections were highly influenced by druglords intimidating voters. And Bush allowed it to happen, all while claiming "we gave them a working democracy" I hardly see being killed if you don't vote for "candidate #1" as very democratic. I suppose I should have known that you were being sarcastic, but truth of the matter is that I don't know you very well at all. I live in a town where most of my neighbors are more concerned about what's going to happen on the next "reality" TV show than what's actually going on in the world. It makes me sick. That's not an excuse though by any means. I beg your forgiveness.
