Dar
Contains spoilers, so read at your risk if you have not finished the game. Ok, as some of us know, there are hints of the planet where the HK50's are coming from. Hints are dropped by HK-47 and GoTo but due to time constants or such, Obsidian did not intergrate the planet. They have 7 areas completed for it but didn't activate it. Digging around in the 2da files, I have found the following. 1. The planet's name is M4_78. 2. HK and GoTo both have script references to it but those scripts were turned off. 3. Checking the k_sup_galaxymap.nss it even has the planet listed as one of the main worlds, movie cues and all. 4. The same .nss file mentions 6 expansion xbox live downloads with M4_78 being the first. 5. I am pretty sure that the storyline they were going to use had you getting some cool upgrades for HK-47 as well as his Assassin Droid Rifle (his most powerful rifle) as well as finding out more about what happened to Revan and the gang. I am so not an expert on editing or the files but hopefully with some help we may, just may, be able to re-add the lost material. I think most(if not all) the material is all there but is just turned off.
Jer
Actually, X-box users have already unlocked both the Droid Planet and the HK-47 construction factory on Telos. *shrugs* Both are really incomplete, half the scripts are broken, and editors notes are all over the place. It would be very cool if modders could complete them enough to be playable, though.
Oddball_E8
It would be even cooler if obsidian actually finished it and released it as a patch... but i guess that will never happen
EmperorJello
Which is tragic... I was rather excited at the prospect of finding the HK Factory.
tomwaz
how did the xbox users get to the planet?
FunSolo
a factory on a planet? am i the only one whos confused about it? the HK series was build at the starforge, wasnt it?
TLM
the HK series was build at the starforge, wasnt it? As HK-47 so elequently puts it, these are nothing but cheap knock-offs.
Darkkender
Okay to answer a few questions here: @ Funsolo: No they were not built at the starforge to my knowledge, Revan had HK-47 before he ever found the starforge and then had left HK-47 behind somewhere. This is from KOTOR 1. The HK factory was an area in development by Obsidian that didn't get completed where the HK-50's are being built. @ Tomwaz: A few of the X-Box users are crafty enough to have modded X-box's allowing them to access the files within since it is a stripped down computer with a few tweaks and changes. They then transfer the files to there PC use KOTOR Tool to open it and explore the data then used KSE to allow themselves to visit some of these areas. Some even more crafty of them have adapted Darth333's warping armband and changed the location to those in TSL and voila instant warp. After this they saved the game and hosted the saved games for download.
Dar
Well if they can do it, we can do it and do it better, right? I mean we have some of the best modders out there right on these boards and it's definately a worthwhile effort! Edit ok I found the xbox save that lets you access the HK level on Telos, well the sublevel tried to enter the HK level and it just sits there. Amazingly if you place it in your PC TSL saves and give it a new folder name just like your PC saves, you can load the save. I believe that level can be completed with some time and effort. So I will endeavor to do so, just gotta read on how to edit TSL. So don't expect anything overnight!
Anach
Be cool if they fixed some of the many many bugs first.
FunSolo
would be better if someone of the develepor team would do that.. with a patch or anything.. but i guess.. we are on our own.. again and again
Emperor Devon
Is there a warp code to get there?
Dar
I think so but alas I am not that versed in the warp locations, I will give you the addy to download the xbox save, just unpack it to your save directory per my instructions above and open KSE, you will hopefully find the warp info there. http://home.alltel.net/jls31/saves5.html
Iamme
You can't warp to the factory or the landing arm unfortunatly (it's 298tel is you want to try) HOWEVER... Do you think it would be possible to extract those that he has from his saves? They obviously are modded and very powerful but they are also very cool and usefull, probly would save a lot of scripting time too.
Iamme
Odd thing it is, I have just finished warping everything I thought could possibly be the factory and come up with nothing, this makes me believe that the data is being loaded from the save game and that the actuall information from the module and quest is not in the pc version which is very disapointing. If you can prove me wrong please do so, but it would seem that in order to get that quest working we will need somebody with a modded xbox to send over the module and quest data, ah well. (unless of course I am just a noob and you have an alternative better method)
Dar
Well I have looked at all the modules with KT and shows a door on module 232tel to 298tel but there is no module 298tel listing. Hopefully the senior mods here can shed some light what I need to do to extract that module from the xbox save so I can finish it on the PC. I mean if I can load the xbox save of the module on a PC and enter the module, then the information is there and accessiable somehow, right? Dar
You can load the save on your PC TSL and try the level, it will work but there is nothing to do, except fight a couple of drones and walk around. Hopefully with some expert help I will remedy that. I know where the access points are, I have a pretty good idea for the plot, and I found a nifty little file giving info on HK-51, well there is even a mention of a HK-55 but I could find no stats on him. Also, that level was suppose to be where you found HK-47 Droid Assassin Rilfe, his best rifle. Now the level in the Xbox save is the Sub-base of the Adandoned military installation on Telos, there is a door in there that say HK Factory, that level is not even done, but hopefully I will remedy that as well. Just so you know, I am not giving up on this, I am asking around to see what I can do to extract the level. If I can extract it, that will make things easier, if not, well guess to try out my module making skills...wait wait...I gotta get some module making skills before I can try them out...oh well I'll work on that too! Bobo
hmm. yes actually this is incomplete, this area of the game is important. first of all, i noticed in the scene with Your Trial in the council room, theres 6th jedi, who isnt one of the ones you look for. sooo hmm? maybe he/she lives there? also when you reactivate HK-47, along with his talking, he mentions he only stays with you to find the HK-50s.... but whats funny is theres no moments in the game to where you can encounter them with HK-47 lol. for those wondering where HK-47 was built, HK-47 was built by revan on one of his ships, when completed, Revan made Schematics of the droid, so if he had to ever rebuild him. Also once laying his eyes on Malak, HK-47 called him a "Meatbag" and revan programmed HK-47 to keep saying that. However, during the Mandalorian Wars, HK-47's Vessel, was boarded by Mandalorians, and Disabled HK-47. He claimed the Assassin Droid as, Booty. thereafter he was sent to kill Mandalore, but failed. The droid was sold off. A few masters later, HK-47 is repurchased by Revan on tatooine.... which catches up with Kotor 1. so there you go. EDIT: How did HK-50s become? Eventually a Sith Officer found the Schematics about a few months after Malak's death, and sold them to the exchange. The Exchange bought them and began manufacturing them.., off topic here, but does Lt. Gran (the leader of the TSF) sound and look a little too much like Davik Kang, the Taris Exchange Boss? -0-bobo-0-
Dar
It's possible a master lives there, it's also possible that said master went Sith. Also, the info I have dug up on the level does have some references to Mandalorians be there, so that's a possibility. Oh I will get this done....somehow, some way, I will. We will have the missing module and HK 47 will have his answers, or at least some of them.
Bobo
also using KSE i found an "upgrade" for HK-47. its actually really funny. it made him, Peaceful! and that awful upgrade is nowhere to be found. so i guess its on that world eh?
Dar
No no it is in the game, after you establish the trade routes for Greeda on Nar Shadda, she will have it in her inventory. You have got to get and install it.
JAshton83
Just out of curiosity has anyone definitively established tha the module data is present in the PC version yet? Just discovered this thread and I was intrigued, the whole HK-50 thing was very sloppy in the game, just disappearing after Telos - particularly with all the hints at more to come HK-47 gives! T7nowhere
^^^ It is not in the PC version. I guess Obsidian or LA had the time to remove it in between not completing the game.
Bobo
you know, OE and LA are just asking for a Visit from HK-47 and his assassination Protocol lol i dont like it when they corrupt a story line just cause they're lazy
