Glad you're liking the designs! I myself am itching to get ahold of the other guy's sabers...wow-o-wow I need more Jedi in my party hehehe....

Oh yeah, and everyone wondering about Nil, only Sep knows the gruesome details, but I seem to recall "23 seconds without getting one hit in edge-wise".... :dev11: (that was the lifespan of the whole party...)

Stim up ;)

Heh heh you should so them some of my topics like on modeling. That was a headache and a half for me. So you finally got it in huh? That is good news. Now if only my models wouldn't keep giving me problems:firemad:

Well nice break away saber to tell you the truth that was the one saber I was most looking forward to getting my grubby little mits on. Keep them coming everyone they look great and definitely are ones to be proud of.:)

The Force indeed (the resident scripters Force that is...) hehehe...

Much thanks should be given to stoffe -mkb-, Xcom, Darkkender, Darth333, tk102, & numerous examples I "hacked" from beancounter & RedHawke.

They really came through with a script n00bie such as myself, and thanks to them... you'll be able to get the BA-122 saber ;)

Also, during Phase2 of my scripts... Darth333 has assured me that my 'attempt' wasn't "garbled". Thank you Darth333 :D

Oh yeah... just caught a sneaky peek at svösh's latest... WOW ... You're going to love it (one of my favorites now)...

I won't spoil the surprise for him... so we'll just have to encourage him to get some nice screenies for ya' :D

just a small update, i got four sabers done and ready for placement in-game, Sion, Nihilus, Vrooks, and my custom green saber are finished. BTW i cut two color varations from the Alora model, so now is stands at two. Still fully upgradable, just to less colors ;) The two I kept were the default green(of course) and the red for a good darkside transition. I hope no one is too upset, but hey this is TSL, you should be used to the idea of content cuts ;) All joking aside i cut the extra colors because of personal taste, and the back story, not time :D

lol actually, no you cant just hex the color you want :-p since the hilt matches each blade color, you'd have to re-skin the whole hilt for each color

Ah I see, well that is ok. Besides the color I normally use for my sabers are there anyways(green). So I would be happy either way. Keep 'em coming everyone!

Alright this one is for Mira, This will most likely be the last Hilt I make for this project , so that I can focus on scripting everything in game.

Mira's lightsaber.

Some might Be interested to hear that we are about 65% complete so as long as we don't hit any road blacks it won't be too much longer. Also With the help of Darth333 we are well into planting the Hilts on the unique NPC's in the game Like Sion and Kreia.

The expansion of the PC's first lightsaber quest is half way done. All I'm really doing there is making it possible for the PC to be able to build one of our lightsabers as their first. It will work as it does now so the game checks to see what crystals you have in your inventory and depending on which ones you have found you will be able to choose amongst those to build.

Darth333 is working on some custom Item scripts that will make the crystals findable as random loot. So thats how you will have access to most of the new hilts. You will be able to also swap out the old Lightsaber crystals for the new ones to change the old hilt into something sweet ;) The one exception to this is that you can not swap a doublebladed crystal and put in a single bladed one(it will turn into a null nade. But all the crystals will be marked so that you know which ones can be used in which types of hilts.

I still am trying out a few more ideas to get the sabers in the game so that it will be a little different than the standard means.

Everything sounds great T7, and justa s an easy way to solve the whole, doublesaber to singlesaber, nullnade problem :p, in the upcrystals.2da file you could just refer it to the normal game saber, just so people don't have to worry about accidentally putting the crystal in a bad blade, just a thought ;)

You mean refer the 'custom' crystals to a normal in-game saber for an unused column?

Say, I have a custom dbl saber crystal. In it's .2da column under the short & reg columns, I place an entry for the normal in-game sabers...

Now, if I place the custom dbl saber crystal in a normal saber hilt and hit assemble... wouldn't I lose the custom dbl saber crystal? The game inherently "swaps" models...(making the custom dbl crystal now into a standard in-game reg. saber crystal)...

I don't think this option will work (though I've been wrong before... hehehe). We'd have to make custom reg, short & dbl crystals, etc. for each model in order for the crystal swapping to work....

::EDIT ::

Granted, I'd much rather have an in-game saber rather than a null grenade. But in either case, I'd still be losing the custom crystal from what I understand of the game mechanics...

If I'm wrong, or if this is still an option we want to pursue... please tell me... I'm about to start a 200 line entry into the upcrystals.2da :D

The crystal would still look the same in the single as it did in the double and your double would still be there as you can't assmeble it with out a color crystal. so even after putting it in the single if you remove the cystal again and put it back in "a" double hilt (it doesn't matter which double hilt it could be a defualt double) then that crystal will turn the double saber to it back into your original Custom double hilt.

EDIT: I think it wil work without losing the custom crystal :). There is only one way to find out. ;)

EDIT 2: Your right if its assembled then the custom crystal will be lost.

EDIT 3:hmm. ok it would only work if a new uti was created. WHich would require 3 times as many uti's as before. I don't really like the idea of that .

Don't feel sorry man.. trust me.. we ALL experimented hoping it would work (and hoping I was wrong) ;)

To anyone, if you think anything will help don't hesitate to bring it to our attention ("our" as in Holowan as a whole) :D

I'm still crossing my fingers good ole' Fred might get that copy & paste thing to work... 200+ lines just isn't fun boys & girls ...uughhhh... BUT, all of my scripting for the BA sabers is done, tested and ready to roll! w00t!
