Snafu7 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 the best PC game I've ever played is either BF2, or half Life 2
ChAiNz.2da Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 NeverWinterNights Series... HotU being my fav... Though any (good) RPG will satiate my gaming whims
TheOssusKeeper Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 hehehe, Ultima 4 on commadore 64 (ancient history)... now nearly all the Star Wars games...
Tall Guy Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 I'm kinda biased, but Grim Fandango will always be my favouite game, closley followed by the HL games (inc CS / CS:Source)
Leviathan Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 HL games ? As the first Half-Life title and its add-ons ?
Kurgan Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Consoles are computers, he didn't say PC. So technically he should have said "video game," since that would cover arcade, console and home pc. HL games ? As the first Half-Life title and its add-ons ? He said: I'm kinda biased, but Grim Fandango will always be my favouite game, closley followed by the HL games (inc CS / CS:Source) Emphasis mine! I'm assuming he meant the "entire series." Boy we're nitpicking today eh? Myself included. I thought 007 series was made using elements of Half-Life, like AI or models... Right ? Do you mean GoldenEye was based on the Quake 1 & 2 engines? I never heard of any connection, in fact I just sort of assumed that the "007 games" used their own engine(s) but I don't know that for a fact. I would think if they used a popular liscensed engine I'd have heard about it. Not every FPS has to use an id Software based engine though.

I just know some 007 series' games were made around Half-Life's engine and AI... But which ones ?
lukeskywalker1 Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I know one 007 game was made using the Q3 engine, so I have heard. It sorta feels "Q3ish" Modern 007 games couldn't be from HL1... they look too good to be. Maybe an old N64/PS1 title... maybe. Tomorrow Never Dies was a game, wasn't it? I heard it sucked really bad though.
Leviathan Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 It was a PC game (Amongst other platforms...), if I'm wrong... And you're probably right when you say "Tomorrow Never Dies" was a bad game... (I believe it is the Half-Life's engine-based 007 game...)
DragonKnight Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 The best game I have ever played is Deus Ex. It had a well developed story line, immersable locations, interactive game play, excellent hud system. It combines the best of FPS/RPG games. Runner up would be Jedi Academy, but only because it has an extensive modding community. Now if they could only combine the two, add Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator for air vehicles, Grand Terismo for land vehicles, vehicle damage, npc/item/world interaction like in Morrowind, they would have the best game in the universe.
Jesselles Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I haven't played that many computer games, but I'd say Black and White, I never got tired throwing those sheep...
Leviathan Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Thank you, Insane' ! I'm less stupid, now...
pock Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I must say The first three Monkey Island games, Sam and Max and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ofcourse...
Darth_Terros Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Chrono trigger on the snes or KOTOR im not sure its a toss between them
90SK Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Lemming Ball Z has moved up on my list considerably. Seriously though, Commander Keen 6 comes in second. Classic gold.
Echo-7 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 the best game i ever played was Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2.
The Doctor Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Knights of the Old Republic series, followed by Grandia II, then Star Trek: Armada II.
primalunderdog Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 The best game I played was Alpha Centari
lukeskywalker1 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I got to add Resident Evil 4 (GCN) to my console list... very good. But I think Twin Snakes still tops it.
TiE23 Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Half-Life² and Mods. Morrowind BattleField 2 JK1
