Venom750 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 After everything thats happen with KOTOR 2 i find myself not even wantin to play it anymore mostly because of all the stuff left out . :( So my question is if you had the chance again would u still buy it????
90SK Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Of course I would! Why on Earth wouldn't I? Its still the best game I've played recently, and it makes for great modding.
RaV™ Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 For PC, because i can use mods and goodies like that
Samora Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 If you select "no" then what the hell are you doing on this forum?..
Drazin Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Absolutely! Hell... I bought it twice! One for PC, one for Xbox. Guess that makes me dumber than the rest of ya.
stingerhs Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 sure, why not? just because the ending wasn't that great doesn't mean that its a terrible game. thats why i tend to agree with gamespot's rating of the game. it was excellent in everything except the ending and the dated graphics engine.
Samora Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 how long did it take yall to finish the game? I'm playing for 90 hours now and still not finished..
FiEND_138 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Roughly 60-65 hrs my first playthrough, though mostly trying to explore everything.
Drazin Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 90 hours??? Eesh. I think I have spent up to 40 hours and as fast as 25 hours to beat TSL.
jblue789 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 If you would dislike a game mainly because some stuff was cut from the game, what kind of a fool are you? It's still an amazing game, and if you simply don't like it because you think it's not that great of a game, then I wouldn't care. But you state that you wouldn't MAINLY because of the fact that a number of things were cut. KOTOR2 isn't the only game which had things cut. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if every big game which promised things before release had at least one thing cut. It's not that rare. No offense but, if that's what the main factor in determining what games are good, then you have no taste whatsoever.
Jolee_B Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 I guess so...maybe for the PC version. It took me 28 hours and 11 minutes to finish KOTOR 2. The longest it took me was 39 hours and 41 minutes.
lukeiamyourdad Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 The question was, with knowledge of the ending and everything cut out, if you knew the whole story and everything, would you still buy it? Or more simply put, if you lost your copy of TSl, would you buy another one? My answer: hell yes. I'd be ready to do a lot of things for another copy.
Venom750 Posted March 19, 2005 Author Posted March 19, 2005 I feel i need to explain myself some more with the question. I feel KOTOR 2 was a good game but after all the hype that surround the release i just feel it did't live up to what was expected or even promised.
Venom750 Posted March 19, 2005 Author Posted March 19, 2005 I would also like to extend my thanks to lukeiamyourdad for explaning the question some more:)

There wasn't that much hype at all actually. TSL came rigth after such crazily hyped released as HL2, Halo 2, World of WarCraft and Battle for Middle Earth. I felt that KOTOR II was hardly noticed compared to those.
LukeKatarn Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 I don't know. Probabley no. I got it on X-box, and it jus twasn't as good as I thought it would be. Peragus was to long, and even if you join czerka on Telos the ystill attack you on the surface . It makes me mad. I thought the game would be awosme, and it was, but nto good enough for me to buy it on pc or if I lost it on x-box to buy it again.
tmhe Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 Originally posted by LukeKatarn Peragus was to long, and even if you join czerka on Telos the ystill attack you on the surface This isn't entirely true. Allthough the mercenaries attacking you were hired by czerka they were not working for czerka anymore when you meet them cause they were "rebelling" against the czerka. They wanted more money and attacked the czerka company so thats why you get attacked by the mercaneries on telos' surface But yeah, i'd buy it again.
StoneDragon Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 I have it already, so why buy it again? If I lost it then too bad. Im not gonna waste money. I would just buy a different game.
RaV™ Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Right them rebelling would have to do with killing the Exchange Quarren on Telos..
