In most schools, you have to write essays, and you usually get marked down if there are spelling errors. While you don't have to be an expert, I don't see how you can pass college while being a poor speller.

(blatantly stolen idea from tk102 ).. hehehe I'm personally looking for a decent recipe on "white sauce" (such as an Alfredo, Wine Sauce, etc.) All of my attempts have been... edible "in theory", though I wouldn't necessarily serve it to anyone I want to impress I can manage red sauces and marinara's fine... it's just the white sauces that I'm having probs with.. p.s. feel free to start a thread on the importance of spelling and grammar... just don't hijack this thread please..

I take it that the way you spell favorite as "favourite" that you are not from the United States. I suppose you also spell color as "colour"? There's nothing wrong with that.
