Interesting little excerpt:

Television is also new frontier for the use of digital tools, he said.

"What would normally cost $20 million-$30 million we can do for $1 million," Lucas promised. He is shooting a live-action series on a small Sony digital consumer camera.

If it's the camera I'm thinking of, we (JTV) uses one as well for some of our side projects. The quality is absolutely stunning :D

Though I think the word "consumer" is mis-leading. It's still around $1,200+ ;) hehehe...

hey, i thought voice-acting in most games was bad enough. :xp:

anyways, i think George Lucas was referring to adding new innovations. considering what he's done for the movie industry, having George Lucas jump into the gaming industry would probably be a good thing, IMHO. :)

the part that grabbed me was his mention of the gaming industry. makes you wonder if he's gonna get involved with any future LucasArts games... :naughty:

Same here ;)

Aristotle posted another interesting article explaining more on the AI part of his projects here:

and I also mirrored both articles over at StarWarsKnights.com

Considering the extensive projects on GL's plate, I don't think StarWars will suffer any losses now that the movies are over with. And I think it will definitley benefit us fans for the years to come.. hehehe :emodanc:

Lucas wants to bring the wonders of 3d animation to asia... um... Japan already produces a great number of 3d animated stuff - mostly games, but its still 3d and its still animated.

Well if he plans on torturing us with the gaming equivalent of episodes 1 and 2, then perhaps he should stay in the US. lol

err never played those but that was mainly because they got bad reviews

@Aash Li are you mad at me :cry6:

Since acting in television series is usually worse than in movies, I'd hate to see a series directed by Lucas.

But mabye they'll start making better games and such, who knows?
