SkinWalker
Wanna know the proper method of disposing of FedEx boxes? Check this guy out: http://www.fedexfurniture.com/lshaped.html He also has a bed and a 9.5 foot couch! Apparently FedEx is less than thrilled at the guy's website and are demanding that he take it down according to Wired Magazine. They're citing the Digital Millennium Copyright Act no less! Still, the guy has a creative edge to him.

Boba Rhett
This man gets my full stamp of approval. I hate, hate FedEx. I've had nothing but problems using them. Not only do you have to fill out what amounts to a small biography of who you are and where the package is going but then you also have to fill out invoices in triplicate as well. I learned about the invoices the hard way. They called me up and said I didn't have them but said they would take care of it if I faxed the papers to them. "Whew, problem solved" I thought. Four days later I got a bill for 60 dollars, including ten dollars for their gas. Die, Fedex. Die. *sets off making a fedex box garage*
TiE23
Yah, I like UPS, FedEx is to ****ing expensive. And some people are so uptight about their money! What FedEx wants to do it completly stupid.
access_flux
fed ex is dangerous. my friend was almost run off the road TWICE by a fedex van. no one here in australia uses them. Australia post all the way baby!
toms
but the guy actually LIKES fed-ex and uses them all the time... its interesting that the big legal phenomemon of the 00s seems to be suing your best customers. If you read the wired article the defence lawyers basicaly dismantle the entire case and show that they were using completely false legal arguments... kudos to the guy for putting his site back up rather than caving in like most people do when the DCMA is waved at them... acdcfanbill
according to /. the stanford lawyers he is employing are 100% sure that FedEx has no right to demand his website come down.

jon_hill987
The funny thing is it probably cost more than normal furniture.
Kjølen
Well, maybe, but he got the stuff that came IN it, too, didn't he? The boxes were basically free, unless you could shipping costs.
El Sitherino
My only problem with fedex is those bastards make it nearly impossible to open the box. They practically leave you with no option but to knife it.
Writer
Sue the guy? For what? He's advertizing FedEx and is most likely buying the packages... what's the big deal? If you ask me, FedEx is being incredibly stupid here.
