Astrotoy7 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 OK. Firstly, I have to give credit to Pieski for putting me onto these. They have caused me too laugh my damn a$$ off so much that Ive decided to share them with my fellow swampers. I'd also like to stress that this ISNT an opportunity to start a 'My music is better than your music/Your music sux' flamebeaux. Offenders Im sure will be swiftly dealt with by relevant staff.. All this is for is to comment and giggle at these pics. If you have any silly musician pics yourself, feel free to post them. My personal faves are the bald guy from Dimmu Borgir, and teh 'Black Metal Gimp' from Vulture Lord.... I am more a death metal fan, but I like some black metal. I think its the poses with armour/weapons etc that freak me out more than the makeup. *yoinked* WARNING: The 'Other' Top 10 features a small, but telling "wardrobe malfunction" near the groin area. I dont think its innapropriate but mods feel free to remove link at your discretion. *link removed* Aye, inappropriate, indeed -Rp mtfbwya
Sabretooth Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 This shows just about how abnormal and meaningless Black Metal rockers are. I mean, I don't care about the music, but if Rockers go about wearing bondage straps, bears impaled on wrist-bands, unhealthy shinguards and a variety of painful weapons, what are they trying to prove? That they are uber-powerful and own God?
Hermie Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Yeah, Pie showed me this too. ^.^ This shows just about how abnormal and meaningless Black Metal rockers are. I mean, I don't care about the music, but if Rockers go about wearing bondage straps, bears impaled on wrist-bands, unhealthy shinguards and a variety of painful weapons, what are they trying to prove? That they are uber-powerful and own God? They like how it looks.

That they are uber-powerful and own God? It's part of the theatrics. But anyone who's seen the Call Of The Wintermoon video know that Immortal have loads of self-irony. Not all black-metallers try to be über-nekro-grim all the time. Some people might remember my KRIEG pictures a while back.
Astrotoy7 Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 yeah, those KRIEG pics were awesome, can you linky them Pieski ?? my fave: PING-PONG IST KRIEG !!! mtfbwya
ChAiNz.2da Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 hilarious! Looks like they spend more $$$ at Home Depot® than at their local music store --------------- "I need (4) 2x4's, a box of 6 inch nails, some wood glue, some...." clerk: "You guys building a dog house?" "Nah.. we've got a gig tonight!.. Rock On!"

That they are uber-powerful and own God? I think it all kinda of goes back to the culture that pretty much invented the genre. I suspect you also find afro-cuban singers to be silly for having fruit on a hat? Plus as a wise man once said, "Theatricality and deception are powerful weapons".
TiE23 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 This: http://www.victorialodging.com/hightea/images/tea-party.jpg plus this: http://ruthlessreviews.com/pics4/bm/bm3.jpg Equals: Tee ist Krieg! Ich trinke Tee! RAWR! [Edit] Krieg now (good thing I saved the .PSD), but I still like "Tee"
Pie™ Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I think he wanted it to seem german. Bad TiE! Bad!
coupes. Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Hmmmm. Seems kinda French to me. Tea in French is spelled "thé".
TiE23 Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Tea in French is spelled "thé". Now that sounds english.... Hmmm. So funny how online translators can make us seem so smart and multi-cultural.
Darth Groovy Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 As funny as this link is, it is both old, and due to the constant foul language of the page author, i'm afraid it is not appropriet for this forum. Pie's pics are funnier.
Astrotoy7 Posted August 27, 2005 Author Posted August 27, 2005 fair enough Although, as Pie has informed me, the pics he has posted are just fans playing up for the camera, they're not an actual BM band. mtfbwya
