OMG!!!

Mike Myers was like "WTF!!" He looked like he didn't know what to say. I love his reactions. Especially right after "George Bush dosen't care about black people." OMG!!

And Chris Tucker..... I don't know if he could hear what Kanye West was saying, but it looked like he didn't know how to react for a second.

"zOMG FIGHT THE POWER!!!" I'm sorry, but is this something new? A black guy saying white politicians, in particular the president, are racist? He's probably right. But news? Or controversial? Hardly. I don't even know who this guy is. Have a seat Malcom Farrakhan.

I think it's more a case of how bluntly he said it, and the circumstances he said it under.

As apposed to what? Mentioning it on a ferris wheel? That doesn't even makes sense. I know what the circumstances are, and how bluntly it was said, so what's your point? Speaking of Captian Obvious...

Live television during a fundraiser campaign for hurricane victims... Yeah, I can't see how that differs from a ferris wheel.

Really? Because I can. And that's my point. You're saying it's because of where and when he said it. That's why it's a big deal. And I'm saying I ****ing know where and when he said it, and it's still nothing amazing. BFD.

Yah, you can say that Bush doesnt care about black people to anyone you know, but if you say it over national TV with over a million watching, then it becomes a problem, he's ruined.

I've never even heard of him and now that statement is the only thing I know him by. >_>

Maybe I should elaborate a little further, because there seems to be a misunderstanding of my point. This dude, whoever the hell he is, isn't saying anything I haven't heard a dozen times over on any given Public Enemy record. And that's just for starters. The stupidest thing about this, is the fact that he's going on TV to express his personal political opinions while simultaniously asking for money. Did it not occur to this guy that some of the people who are going to consider donating might be Bush voters? We have people in this country who right or wrong (more often that not, wrong) are going to back anything the president says or does. And anyone who criticises the president, is wrong. So maybe, getting on tv and running your gums to that audience is a matter of poor decision making, bad judgement, and worse timing. I looked this guy up, and he's a musician of sorts. He coudn't save that **** for his albums or shows? Everyone knows that it's mostly suburban white males that buy rap/rnb albums, so he'd still be telling that crap to people he assumes don't already know it, only he might actually MAKE money that way. At the link above, there are people that actually say they aren't going to donate based on his comments. So yeah, WAY TO GO KAYNE WEST! YOU GO BOY!!!

Ah but you see CapN, Bush has the 'Bad mouth me is proffessional suicide' thing going. This is because people either hate Bush or are completly loyal and follow him simply because of his 9/11 made my career bs and think he is the greatest President BECAUSE of that. Thus speaking out against him on a national level like that is either highly praised or highly condemned. Kanye may have commited career suicide with that comment(simply because his right wing fans[if any] are going to quit buying his records, thus causing a heavy loss in sales), but for people who fanatically despise Bush its an awesome comment.

Fanatically not being the best word, I just don't have the time to find a better word:p

Gosh, that made me mad when I heard that he said that.

But, I hate it how he blamed things being because of his race. Don't you think that's somewhat a form of racism in it self? If race honestly shouldn't phase anyone, then WHY DID HE BRING IT UP?

It's not as if there were only black people in New Orleans and surrounding areas. I mean, the majority of them were, but I saw people of all color.

I dislike Bush as much as the next man, but I just thought that what Kanye said was definitely uncalled for.

This is all of course, my opinion.

When a disaster like this comes calling, it's probably best to do what you can and not point fingers. While it took West some luck in saying what he felt, I don't think it'll do much to help those trapped in New Orleans.
