ChAiNz.2da
Which one was indicted for MURDER? I posted the news link in post #6, but I think it was the "Red Ranger"...
Captain_H
Heh. I watched the show many years ago, when I was in elementary school. And I liked it, too. But then they started changing it. The first change was all right, but after that it just got ridiculous, and I stopped watching it. Same here.
jblue789
The original rangers owned, at least they did when I watched it (a long, long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away) and a few of the continuations were... ok. But now, yeah.
El Sitherino
The rangers had nothing to do with old-school, it was a modern american wannabee ripoff of popular asian shows. Well it was actually old footage of the 70's japanese shows, but re-shot with american actors for the non-ninja suit stuff. Bandai's biggest japanese export until Anime hit it's mark. lukeskywalker1
Whoa... so all of the fighting was old Japanese movie stuff? Or just some of it?
El Sitherino
All the fighting done in the suits and bots was from the original version of the show. All the stuff where they were "all american kids" was reshoots.
Rogue Nine
This is why the Yellow Ranger doesn't have a skirt like the Pink Ranger does. In the original Japanese version, the Yellow Ranger was a guy.
lukeskywalker1
Oh, I actually wondered about that. So how old was the japanese version?
Rogue Nine
IMDB ftw. Not much older than the American version, which came out in 1993. The footage certainly looked recycled, though.
Zappa_0
Some info about the Power Ranger dude that murder somebody. He was not an original Power Ranger, he is only saying it cause he was one of Tommy's Students in the first season of power rangers. They was good up to Space, but they kinda declined. But started picking back up at Ninja Storm. Also for those who are fans of the series should check out: http://www.rangerboard.com a whole forums dedicated to PR news and fan chat. I was about to say! I looked up Power Rangers on IMDB and there is no mention of that guy. He is too young to be any of them.

In the user comments: "The origin of the sentai shows goes way back over to 1976, and were hit in Asia. The Sentai shows that the power rangers ripped off in 1993 is known as jyuranger sentai which debut in Japan and Asia several year earlier......." Prime
The first time I saw Power Rangers, I thought it was a comedy. I guess it was just too after my time.
