LSaberDuelist Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 I have designed a new mask for TSL, I wanted to make something like a cybernetic eye implant(whatever these things are called). It is intended for a darkside character. But moreover I am wondering which one looks better the medium shiny version(first screenshot), the shiny version(screenshot 2,3) or the non-shiny version. Maybe someone could provide some input? Bart Lasiter Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 It's a cool mask, definitely different, the only thing I would change on it would be to make the 'bridge' from the temple the eyepiece more visible and come further off the head. Bezurn Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 I don't know, maybe its just me, but I have a hard time seeing those pictures as the lighting is kinda dark in the area that I am trying to observe. Of the screenshots I can see 2 and 3 look pretty good. I like the shine compared to the dark though of what I can see. T7nowhere Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 I like it, I actually made one sensor implant type thing for K1 very similar to yours except I didn't make the eye piece a cap, it was more of a lense out an inch in front of the eye. I eventually scraped it though. Have you equiped it on other PC's or npc's, because the biggest problem with making the masks so tight to the head is that its very likely it will only fit a few heads without clipping badly. It can be compensated for(tweaking it can be a pain) and you may have to restrict its use for a few npc's. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, I will have to restrict it to some (N)PCs, it works with the female models I have tested(PFHa05,pfha04,PFhc06,PFhc05) and Mira, it needs to be bigger and repositioned for the males, so I need a special version for male models. I like shiny... but then, i'd prefer a lightsider version too. as to properties.... lets see... sniper shots, Att. bonus, stealth field nullifier, perhaps an awareness bonus... force sight( though I still don't know where that is valuable)... improved reflex save and BBDefl... a Const. requirement, since its essentially an implant.... anything you can effectively rationalize to be enhanced by cybernetic vision. nice work.... good luck on the finishing touches.
