Tanos nodded good-naturedly. "I could turn my mind-reading sister on you," he said. It was a joke. He was not trying to hide the fact that it was untrue. Emara was no telepath and she would be the first to announce the truth.

"Are you overplaying me, Tanos?" she demanded, coming up behind him. She turned to Caer. "My brother is overextending himself." She glared at Tanos. "I only wish he'd have done so where it came to my fighting abilities."

"Emara, we've been through this," Tanos sighed. "You're staying here."

Tanos frowned. "Don't give her ideas."

Emara grinned, but when Tanos turned to face her, her face had gone back to annoyance.

"Why are you so set against my going?" she demanded. Tanos glanced from her to Caer and back. In the fraction of a second that his gaze was on Caer, Emara nodded to Caer, signifying that she was indeed planning on going. A look of pleading also appeared in the brief moments before Tanos turned back to her. She wanted his help.

"It's danger," Tanos answered stubbornly. "Emara, you've seen enough in your life. This is one situation you don't need... please."

Emara said nothing.

Tanos scowled. "And you think one person will make that much of a difference?"

"If I am that person it will," Emara answered. "Tanos, you've seen me in training. You know what I'm capable of."

"Which is why I don't want you there," Tanos replied. "You're aggressive, impulsive. On a battlefield, that sort of fighting can get you killed. You're not going up against a single foe. There are many. You have not been trained in that."

"You left us ten years ago, Tanos," Emara reminded him. "My training did not stop with your departure."

Ever wandered by and Tanos stopped him. "Ever, do you think my sister should join us in battle?"

Ever eyed Emara for a moment. "Can she fight?"

Tanos groaned and sent Ever away.

"Three against one, brother," Emara said gently. Tanos' eyes blazed.

"It was never a vote," he snapped. "Emara, listen to my words. You're staying here!"

Emara gave him an icy glare and left him alone with Caer.

((I take my last words back))

Ilenal, unlike he had thought, his friend wasn't yet at his house, so he decided to take a walk in the mean time. He looked around with a smile and nodded to a few merchants he had protected in his past and without his knowledge, walked staright towards a little hobbit running around in search of food. The elf stopped at a cart to look at the weaponry on sale and when he turned around to continue his trip, while still looking at the weapons, he bumped straight into the hobbit. He sighed as he saw who it was. "What in the world are you doing here without adult supervision, kiddo?" he asked, just to mock the halfling's lenght

"Since you left the shire, you mean" he corrected, glancing back at him as he continued to walk, going now past the food carts but still heading towards the INNs. He stopped by the first tavern door and looked at the hobbit. "This offers great ale, that one great great meat and that one excellent meals" he said and pointed at three different taverns

The bag landed in Ever's hands with a clink and he thanked Ilenal before hurrying toward the 'meat tavern' first. After several minutes there, he went on to the 'meal tavern'. Another several minutes passed and he came out with a pleased grin on his face and went into the 'ale tavern'. An hour passed and he still hadn't come out. Two hours had come and gone before Ever staggered out and went to a room where he could fall asleep... and collapsed on the floor.
