REDJOHNNYMIKE
Well, since it seems I'm not getting a 360 soon, I broke my game purchasing fast and bought Fable for PC, so far it seems pretty good. What did everyone else think of it, do you have any good strategies or important advice (for example, the first quest that you are allowed to boast on, don't boast "fists only" because you are required to use a weapons flourish move to finish.) FiEND_138
I thought it was alright, except for those damn annoying villagers. They talk about choice in the game & the only real choice I had was how to kill them; an arrow to the head so the neck becomes a fountain of blood or the trusty sword to the face, or sacrificing them to skorm. Other than the villagers & game length, I enjoyed it. O, put points into physical shield (I think it's called) & always take the "without a scratch" boast. Make some pretty good gold that way. Vladimir-Vlada
It's good in my opinion. Although the concept good/evil is too simple (simpler than KOTOR). You can make any choise you want and you'll always get away with it. The game is pretty fun, but it can get pretty dull at times; Especially if you are gathering experience and forsaking the story for a while. Bob Lion54
Fable is good. I actually started a new game this weekend as primarily a Will user. I'm not too fond of the age system. With this playthrough, I took the time to build experience. By the time I went to save my mother from Jack, I was already 56 and my "older" sister was looking more like a grandchild. hehe Question: Anyone know how to make my charactor bulkier? I don't mean fat. I want to make him look like like a tank! I tried eating meat, but that just made me obese. Tip: Easy way to make money. Get your "Guile" to at least 3. (the higher the better) Go to the merchant in Bowerstone South. (the one nearest the entrance) By all of his stock. (Potions, Produce, and Gifts) Sell it all back for a profit. Just keep doing it till you get as much money as you need.

Take the 'Rescue the Archeologist mission' Go there Reach the Temple of Avo Donate 50 000 gold in the fountain Age will reduce by 10 years Hero save (save game during quests where you save hero status, but lose current quest progress) Load Hero Save Keep doing this and you'll increase all atributes and remain 18 years old in no time. Darth InSidious
In Oakvale, check if the general salesman has 40 emeralds or over. If so, buy as many as you can and sell them back, keep doing that and you'll make more cash than you can use. Spellwarrior is a good class to use, and put points into Divine Fury/Infernal Wrath. Enjoyed the game, but too little variety...
REDJOHNNYMIKE
Spellwarrior is what it's turning out to be:D PRobably the best combo I've seen so far is mixing shield defense with divine fury, turn your shield on before battle, run into the middle of the largest group of enemies and charge the DF, the shield takes damage while your charging, then when you release the attack, you can't move, but neither can hostiles, that's when you gulp down will potions, works well on every boss or heavy I've seen (Twinblade, White Balverine, Trolls, Nymphs(?), etc.) One of my favorite things to do is get drumnhjk ahnd whatzch duh udder drunx wok aroungd wike zombeeez XP Points into Physique and Toughness help to fill you out enough so you can stand in the door to keep that beer happy wife from spending all day in the bar:D And...that emerald trick in oakville worked wonders (combine it with donating to avo for dewrinkleization) until the shop stopped opening up? Vladimir-Vlada
until the shop stopped opening up? Nah, don't worry: It's a common bug that happens once in a while. Just go to another area and come back or reload the nearest save.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
Yeah, it works now, it seems you have to wait in another area until a little while after the shop opens, then warp back and it's automatically open, I guess they just don't like to open shops when you're standing there waiting, he must have excessive privacy issues, I wonder what he's gonna do during Christmas rush:D Well, I just finished the arena, it wasn't really all it was cracked up to be though, I didn't even get to fight much ballyhooed Jack of Blades, instead had to fight whisper. One thing would've really helped the game, When you defeat a boss (Whisper, Twinblade) and have the option of killing them, instead of walking away there should be some sort of recruitment deal, maybe they can be used like the bodygaurds, or recalled during other boss battles. Is there any way to solve the bordello mission?
Vladimir-Vlada
Is there any way to solve the bordello mission? There are two ways to do it: 1. This is the better variant and in my opinion the most honest one: You need to buy some beer from the bar. Then you must offer the boss some beer, he'll take it. Offer him more and more, until he deciedes to go to bed since he is drunk and tired. Follow him, a sequence will go and you will hear him mumble in his sleep that the deed is burried under the old tree in the yard of the Bordello. You go to the base of the tree (it is next to the exit) and dig using a shovel (it can be bought in any normal shop). You'll find it. Go to the Mistress and show her the deeds. The Boss will go away and you then you are the offical owner of the Bordello. Now you can either: A)Keep the deeds and remain the boss B)Give the deeds to the Mistress so that the Bordello will become a Sanctuary (for women) rather than whore house (I chose B always) 2. Dress up as a woman, with make-up, give the boss beer. Go with him and jump into the bed with him. ( )
REDJOHNNYMIKE
Hah, I just figured that out earlier, I was always trying to figure out how to get the girls to sleep with him so he'd talk, it took me a while to realise there was a bartender selling beer XP I was hoping it wouldn't involve that wig found upstairs But I'd like to update the get-rich-quick scheme, once you've finished arena forget about using emeralds in oakvale, go into bowerstone north and there's a shop there that has around 60 diamonds (might vary) with full 7 points of guile you can buy them at 200-300 and sell them back around 800, twice the profit of oakvale emerald, and twice as many at one time, that's four times the profit, you can get over 1000000 in a few minutes:D note: in the oakvale emerald scheme (with high guile?) as long as you buy and sell without closing the window, you will earn skill points, after 1million profit you'll get around 26,000 skill points, since Ferengi economics is so important to a ranger *rolls eyes* you will be able to beef up your archery skills:D (not tried on UBS diamond yet) Anybody find a place where you can actually buy Ages potions? Vibro
I've had the game for a while now (Fable), but only got around to completing it a week or so ago. Is this game based on the same storyline, or is it a new game all together?

Bob Lion54
Is this game based on the same storyline, or is it a new game all together? Its the same, but with a few extra quest and items. Also, the story continues after you beat Jack. You have a new main quest and a new baddie.
Ztalker
I have it too, and it pleased me a lot more then Kotor 2. It has this kind of...atmosphere surrounding it. You'll never know what will happen. Also, the interaction is superb. The one thing i didn't like whas the lack of variety in weaponry. Also, the strongest epic swords in the game are light-weights, so that non-warriors can use them too. It's good that the dev's wanted to make the accesable to everyone, but they overdid it in my opinion. The only option for my heavy-warrior was to BUY(!) the Solus Greatsword from a shop. The only legendary greatsword in the game. but the overall experience was great
REDJOHNNYMIKE
Yeah, I wish their was more STUFF! You get to an entirely new area, and it's still pretty much the same stuff as in the last town. I just made it to the city in the northern wastes, do you ever get a sword after that better than solus? I switch between it and avo's tear. And why do temple donations no longer handout botox? do you only get age reductions during one quest? I'd say the style and atmosphere was probably the best thing about it, still like TSL waaay better though:) After recieving my Pimp hat and getting many gifts back from the old gal in oakvale, I'm wondering if the game will ever have a Moderately Warm, Caffeine Loaded Stimulant mod??? Rogue15
hell yea i finally found it at walmart. I beat the original about 3-4 times, glad to see there are more expressions and dialogue!
REDJOHNNYMIKE
Hmmm, I thought for a game that uses expressions quite a bit that there would be more available by now? And on a freaky note... I think all flirt related expressions are area affect instead of direct.... EVERYONE gets turned on! I don't mind walking into a room and every woman in there starts going crazy, but when the dudes join in it's just sickening XP
Ztalker
You can mary a guy too, you know? mate of my accidentaly did that, and he wanted a divource. So he started bashing. But he wouldn;t go away No he's stuck with it..
Darth InSidious
I also liked the fact that there weren't American voices throughout. No offence to anyone intended, but it does get a bit irritating after a while when everyone in a game has a US accent...
Ztalker
^^^ That's true.... In this way, you reallly get the 'medieval' feel, since everyone is talking English..

I think all flirt related expressions are area affect instead of direct.... EVERYONE gets turned on! Yes, I found this really irritating and annoying as well. Geez, everyone wants a piece of me. And I give them that. Very, very much. : By showing them my trophies.
