biny Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 In the Yavin: Temple level, when you have to kill the Rebel leaders (3 bothans) i discovered a... devious trick. Take an IFT-T tank and drive it up the stairs inside the temple and just blast into the room with missiles and blasters (on the tank) until they're dead. It's so simple and easy and funny!!!!
Commander Obi-Wan Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 But, there are are more effective ways. You can easilt take a Dark Trooper and charge up your Arc Caster and kill them easily or a Stormtrooper. But, I have nothing against you your idea.
TK209 Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 The problem lies in getting to that point. =) Its been kicking my butt for the last 2 weeks. By the time I get to deliver the bomb to the door, my reenforcement count is nil and I'm dead. Any pointers would be nice. BTW, I've tried it with all classes, none helped any more than another.

Try to stay in an IFT-T. If you have 1 reinforcement left then just get in a tank and don't die because YOU are the last reinforcement. take a tank to get the bomb, take the bomb to the door while in the tank, then take the tank inside a blow up the bothans. Also, in my method of killing the bothans, you take no damage from them.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Biny, you practically took the words outta my mouth. But, I would stay into the vehicle as much as you can, killing all the enemies that get in your way. And use the sprint ability as an advantage.
PoiuyWired Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Nah that map is kinda easy. And Rebel leaders are week. Just don't get close. Don't worry about them disappearing, they have that big yellow arrow up in the air like the sims. Shot a few dots under the arrow and its a headshot. Fun way to do it is just spray your rifle carpone style with a grunt.
TK209 Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Thanks Biny, worked like a charm. Did it on my first attempt.
zerted Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 ...Also, in my method of killing the bothans, you take no damage from them. Don't forget they have time bombs. Though, I don't think the AI is smart enough to use them on you.
biny Posted November 30, 2005 Author Posted November 30, 2005 Don't forget they have time bombs. Though, I don't think the AI is smart enough to use them on you. In a tank, you can't get into their little room and they don't leave their little room, therefore they can't put time bombs on you.
zerted Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 As if they would use them anyway. They should.
biny Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 They should. But they don't. Wish they would, it would make the game more exciting.
PoiuyWired Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 well, why do you even want to walk into the room? You can shoot them from the outside with a rifle, and seriously even if they use the time bomb, they would be dead before the bomb goes off.
deamonomic Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 i found that mission easy myself. i went in there with either a dark trooper or a clone trooper and just shot em. although i dont remember any arrows. but you can still see a cloaked dude.
xhh2a Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I didn't think of the tank. On my first try, I just charged up as dark troopers. I was the last guy left, 1 Reinforcement point, less than 50% health and i was inside the temple, I Accidently fired a fully charged arc blast (the Leaders were using stealth) and guess what? I killed all 3. I was still wondering how I won at the statistics menu.
hk47 Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 they should have madethe AL smarter because you can shoot them right at the back and of them some just stand there they only use the same thing all the time like on heros vs villans they just throw lightsabers or do lighting hopefully if they make a bf3 they'll make the AL alot more smarter
MachineCult Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 they should have madethe AL smarter because you can shoot them right at the back and of them some just stand there they only use the same thing all the time like on heros vs villans they just throw lightsabers or do lighting hopefully if they make a bf3 they'll make the AL alot more smarter lol, it's AI not AL, Artificial Intelligence. You're right though, the AI are really really dumb.
toue Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 i did it on my second try (god i love elite guardian and war hero) and i found an even easier way, take one of the much smaller and more easily moved up steps alliance tanks from inside the temple
PoiuyWired Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 lol, it's AI not AL, Artificial Intelligence. You're right though, the AI are really really dumb. More like Artificial UNIntelligence to me... Well, BF1 have better AI on average.
Coza1000000 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 yeah, thats my way it works well or i just take a alliance vehicle and do it that way [There's always a bigger fish]- Qui-Gon Jinn
