90SK Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 My grandfather sent me a fruitcake for Christmas this year, among other things. It sort of resembles a brick, covered in rotten fruit. I'm saving it for a special occasion.

Sure I've made apple cake (which is just so delicious with browned buttercream frosting ), but never the tradional 'fruitcake'. I have a feeling that American's have a pretty different way of making it than folks from the U.K. as I've only heard Americans gripe about it and others really like it....intriguing. Anyway, funny cartoon, Groovy.

I think I'm gonna make one then I'll PM the recipe to whoever wants it, so put your requests in here or PM them to me, and I'll get to you. NOTE: I will not actually be sending cake; just the directions for making said cake.
