I've only had fruitcake once You mean this week? it'd be pretty hard to get through a whole life without eating fruitcake more than once .. every month or so. Sure I've made apple cake (which is just so delicious with browned buttercream frosting ), but never the tradional 'fruitcake'. I have a feeling that American's have a pretty different way of making it than folks from the U.K. as I've only heard Americans gripe about it and others really like it....intriguing.
