Guest DarthMaulUK Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Some totally intense action below and a view of the Mon Calamari Cruisers rear. I am currently working on getting the gallery up and ready. Wont be much longer DMUK
Darth_Extas Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 They good but they always seem to be in a battle sequence, I have noticed that looking at other screenshots they have releast throughout the year.
Athanasios Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Mon Calamari in red? Maybe some ships are paintable?
Commander Obi-Wan Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Nice pics. I like the first one with the space battle happening.

Lew Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 re: Red moncal If you look at the text in the bottom right of that screenshot, it looks like multiplayer "player names", so my guess is that the "red" on the moncal is just the team color. I see why they need to do it, but it looks kinda like it's bleeding with that pattern lol
BattleDamage Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 definitly is team color, you can see the ISD has blue on it in the backround
Jamps Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Just like Galactic Battleground, team colors for multiplayer I guess. Nice screens!
Vladimir-Vlada Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 When I first heard that the space battles won't be using the Homeworld system, I thought that it will be c**p. But when I saw these pictures, I knew that it won't be c**p.
Thrawn Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Looks like the second one is from a multiplayer skirmish. What do you mean the Homeworld system? I played it after I read all of these great reviews, but I thought it was terrible myself.
Vladimir-Vlada Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 What did you think was bad? The strategic system, the story and technology or everything?
Athanasios Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Vladimir-Vlada said: What did you think was bad? The strategic system, the story and technology or everything? Although i have not played Homeworld, i think devs tried to make a 3d system for space battles, which is somewhat complex for newbies (and average) players to handle. The 2.5d system EaW uses (layers) look far more easy.
THrawn((9 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 is it just me or does in the second picture there seem to be team clours imbedded in the skin of the Mon Calamari Cruiser?

How can anyone find the Homeworld system dificult to handle? It can get a bit annoying to get used to it, but after 10 minutes you can improvise tactics. I think that they chould have used the Homeworld engine for the space battles, it would be more in-depth.
