Astrotoy7
RIP that sucks. @stinger -just because you catch the news everyday doesnt mean everyone does... Im quite sure that John Spencer's death may not be as big news in quite a few countries outside the US, where alot of us are from. maybe you should avoid such threads in future if they distress you that much mtfbwya

90SK
Yeah, I heard about it on the news. I swear, what's with all the death? It's got me bummed. This one really hit me. He was way too young to die. RIP
El Sitherino
I think the universe is trying to tell us something. I think it's a message that when we run out of all our original and good entertainers, we'll be stuck with ****ty skanks and dumbasses. Such a shame to lose talented and respectable people. Hallucination
^Seriously, we have enough with the death threads. There were like 5 in the past 2 weeks here. Its getting depressing. P.S. I'm not trying to be arguementative. And if every life is important maybe we should make a thread where everyone can post all the births from the local newspaper. Astrotoy7
.... Its getting depressing. P.S. I'm not trying to be argmentative. ......And if every life is important maybe we should make a thread where everyone can post all the births from the local newspaper. *Death is a part of life. Many cultures celebrate it. Mine definitely looks on it in a different way than "zOMG Everyone is dying and im so depressed " *c'mon ....unless it was meant to be a rhetorical statement....surely you realise what youve just said about posting births from the paper is silly. And such a thread wouldnt last half a day before getting closed down anywhere within LF. Of course every life is important, it doesnt mean we have to read about it here... The people that have RIPs posted are generally well known entertainers, this is as most of us may know who they are, or would know about the projects they were involved in. *@sithy - re skanks and dumbasses.... when you said that I thought of "Nick and Jessica" Now, whilst I dont wish death upon anyone, I definitely would like to see less of them in general.... mtfbwya

We lose talented respectable people, only to replace them with mediocre ****tards. That's how life is working; good people die, the dumbasses live forever and shove their **** down your throat. That's how life is working; good people die, the dumbasses live forever and shove their **** down your throat. The good part is that some of the people you/we think are ****tards turn out to be ****ing brilliant. After Splash!, Bachelor Party, and The Money Pit, who the hell thought Tom Hanks had talent? For that matter who thought Marky Mark (coughdathcough) could act?
El Sitherino
I dunno... I've heard some of our new ****tards talk and seen them act.... Yeah, our ****tards of the past have gone. We're stuck with mediocre ****tards with no hidden talent. I think part of the problem may be that we let the stupid ****ers talk way too much nowadays and give them constant exposure because of--not in spite of--their retardation. The current rule seems to be the more restricted your in-utero oxygen flow was, the higher the likelihood of getting your own TV show and/or record deal. 90SK
Word to that. Ever notice how Paris Hilton can't do anything? Seriously: what does she do, aside from being clumsy and rich? And yet she's a culture idol.
stingerhs
Any death is important. No human life is only "semi-important".no freakin' crap, dude. the point was that i don't think we a bunch of new threads every week that talk about somebody that a number of people have probably never heard about. IMO, its the same thing as pulling a name out of your local obituaries and posting it on the boards. does it matter that somebody died?? yes it does, but lets face it: death is a part of life itself. it happens all the time. and unless it was somebody that made a large impact on a lot of people, i don't think its really necessary to talk about it especially when over half of the replies say something similar to "RIP" accompanied with an almost obligitory ":(" smiley and nothing else. again, none of this is meant to be in irreverence to Mr. Spencer or anyone else that you've posted about, it just seems like a lot of spam on the boards to me. El Sitherino
I dunno, I think observing the dead is a wee bit better than "OMG WUT R UR FAV HARRY POTTER BOOK!". But maybe that's just me.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
I agree with stinger here, it does seem to be getting a wee bit more obituary around here. While every life most definitely counts, if everyone who's ever entertained someone has there own thread the only members left around here will be the addam's family tree. Sithy, you're the supermod, work your thread remix mojo and make em all one big obituary thread (R.I.P. would work, or maybe something more poetic?) P.S. More skanks YAY!!!
