Hotshot
Since the movies are done, and this game is coming out soon, I was wondering, is this the last Star Wars game? It doesn't seem like there are other games in development. In the past, there were like 3 SW games being developed at the same time. I hope this isn't the last one, because the last SW game should be an incredible game.
Jeff
I'm sure they'll make more SW games in the future, whether they be based on movies or EU or whatever.

No, if i remember correctly there was a interview with George Lucas a few months (1-2 )after Episode 3 I think, and in the interview they asked him now that the movies are done what next (games, etc.) He stated just because the movies are oever doesn't mean Star Wars is, he said they'll coninue making Star Wars and other Lucasarts games. Hope that helps!
CommanderKane
What Jmaster said. Also, Lucasarts confirmed at the last E3 that Star Wars games will continue to be a main product of their production house. New storylines, timeframes, characters. Star Wars games are here to stay. WOOT!
smit1000
I heard KOTOR 3 was in development. But that could just be a rumour.
popcorn2008
No the games will continue on for a while. I can tell you now they most likely have plans for Kotor 3, maybe an EaW expansion, some sorta galaxies thing (blah), and maybe anouther shooter game. The games are far from over. Jan Gaarni
If Star Wars games went stronger than ever 10 years after the first trilogy was done (Ep. IV, V, and VI), then Star Wars will definatly go even stronger 10 years from now. Not to worry.
Scarlet
Wasn't Dark Forces released before the TPM etc? ... Yeah, it was. That kinda nullifies your point.
Guest DarthMaulUK
Lucasarts will be making a major game announcement in February. Their plans, so Jim Ward says (President) that they want to release a Star Wars game at the start and end of Q1 and Q4 every year. Indy Jones is due out - their first next gen game plus, some new titles. DMUK

JoeCLawrence
Star Wars games make lots of money, and with developers like Pandemic, Bioware, Obsidian, and now Petroglyph making games, they've been really good too. Stopping now would be stupid. Hell, I'm more hyped for Star Wars now than I've ever really been.
swaaye
LOL. Yeah Lucasarts will just throw away their only money making franchise!!! HA HA! I seem to remember playing X-Wing in 1992, like say 7 years before the crapquels came out and 9 years after RotJ.
Thrawn
I'm hoping for a ressurection of the late great X-wing series. My hopes were high after TG and LEC renewed their relationship for secret weapons of the luftwaffe, but the execs seem content to pump out more arcade-style rogue squadron games... lonepadawan
I suspect this'll be the last solely PC SW game... for a long time... any others will probably be console only or multiple platform. To make as much cash as possible..
popcorn2008
Were talking about "Is this the last Star Wars game?", not what do you expect the next announcment to be. Back on topic people!
Nevets1112
Not a chance. There just haven't been many games annouced lately because Lucasarts has said they only want to make two games a year to focus on them. KOTOR 3 is in production for the 360, Q4 2006 or Q2 2007 are the rumors. I expect this to be annouced very very soon. I wish they would make another Star Wars flight sim game tho. splintercell56
I love KOTOR too, but I would like another game like Mercenaries or Indy alongside more great Star Wars games.
Admiral Sith
a Mercenaries 2 would be awesome, or maybe Battlefront III, or Star Wars Republic Commando

I'd really like to see an X-wing VS Tie Fightrer III game . Now that we played EaW, with all those "boost power to engines!", "maximun power to shields!" and all other micro-management in space combat, it feels like XvT series............... Just imagine if Petro made such a game, now that they got in the SW point. Next-gen graphics, 64 players for online gaming, better-more complicated craft management, ragdoll mechanics..................i think i'll send an email to Petro about this
