Lightsaberboy Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/silenthill/ This actually looks really good. If i didn't know beforehand, i wouldnt have been able to tell that this was a video-game movie. The director also is a fan of the Silent Hill series, so that's a plus there to hvae someone passionate about the series work on it instead of someone like boll. Plus the awesome Sean Bean is in it!
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Silent Hill seems like it could be a good movie, the camera angles make it seem like a movie anyway (from the little time I've played it anyways).
IG-64 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Heh, I started the exact same discussion about this a few months ago.
Lightsaberboy Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 whoa. even up to the title. that's trippy.
acdcfanbill Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 you see, a good director produces good game to movie adaptations Christophe Gans has done some awesome movies, I reccomend Brotherhood of the Wolf to everyone but not the US version as the dubbing is terrible and they completely butcher the storyline with edits :s
manoman81 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Yeah, I saw the trailer a week ago. It does look good. I may actually go and see it in the theater.
Katarn07 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Never played the games, but I'm excited for it does not appear to a mockery to its original source and Sean Bean kicks ass.
Prime Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Wait a minute. Wing Commander was an awesome video game movie. It had Freddie Prince Junior and everything!
manoman81 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 It had Freddie Prince Junior and everything! >.> <.< Um...I don't think it needs to be said.
lukeiamyourdad Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Looks pretty good for a movie adaptation. Then again, Silent Hill could have been a movie before a video game and it would have made no difference. It's nice that they've decided to keep the weird cliffs that cut off the city from the outside world
toms Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Looks pretty generic.. but ok. Worth keeping an eye on at the very least.
Rogue15 Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 hopefully it's not as lame as alone in the dark.
