"Which is exactly what makes you a good leader. I know you don't particularly like the term, but it's who you are reguardless of your personal inclinations. Trust me, I wasn't entirely ready for the mantle of leadership when it was thrust upon me at the start of the Clone Wars. I know how you feel," Ryshana stated kindly in response to Nic.

Jana snorted. "You do seem to be uncomfortable enough without a tough seat," she observed. "Uncomfortable emotionally, that is." She cocked her head slightly. "So you didn't hit him... and you liked the kiss." Smiling slightly, she went on to ask, "Beryl, are you afraid of me? I can't think of any other reason you'd try to avoid this subject so persistently."

"Afraid of you?" Beryl gave Jana an incredulous look. "No! Not at all. I'm just..." She paused slightly, trying to think of exactly how she did feel. "Embarrassed, I guess. I mean, you're my friend, right? And you and Nic are... well,... close. I just didn't want to hurt your feelings, thinking that I was...." She paused again, staring out the cockpit window, then shook her head and snorted. "That sounds so lame, doesn't it." She sighed. "It was just a kiss, I wasn't expecting it, it meant nothing, and, yes, it was pleasurable, and yes, I should have hit him. And I still might. Later." She looked directly at Jana then and her eyes narrowed. "But don't you dare tell him that I liked it! His ego is inflated enough."

The proximity alarm on the scanners bleeped again, making both of them aware that the Star Destroyer was getting closer. "You finished with that cable yet so we can tie this control back?" Beryl asked Jana. "'Cause I'm finished babbling like an idiot, and that SD is getting closer."

Cloud and Jack left the Rusty's cockpit for the bay doors. When they got there, Cloud pointed out the various weak spots on the door. "There are 12 total." Cloud started. "You already put 1 on one of the weak spots, so there are eleven left. Put one there." He pointed to the door's crack. "There." And Cloud continued on.

Jana handed the lever and cable to Beryl and said, "No need to worry about me telling him," she reassured. "After all, don't friends keep secrets?" She smiled slightly. "And while I find your concern rather touching, I need to make something clear to you."

She watched as Beryl tied the lever on. "Nic White is a safe. You can brush the dust off the top, but what's inside will always remain there." She shook her head. "As much as I'd love to claim I know everything about him, the man has so many secrets that it's impossible."

Sighing, she shook her head. "But enough depressing talk... are we ready?"

"Yeah, well, we've all got secrets," Beryl said, as she concentrated on setting the lever into place. "Got it," she said. "Now we need to adjust the grav field a bit so that it just holds it in place...."

Her free hand reached under the console and felt around for the controls. "Ah, there it is. They're hard to reach on purpose." She tweaked it a tiny bit, and immediately both women felt very heavy.

"Whoops! Guess that's why they make it hard to get to," Beryl said, straining. She tweaked it the other way a bit, then a bit more, until the lever was at the correct weight to hold the steering control at full thrust.

"That should do it," said Beryl. She quickly set Rusty's course to cross the path of the Star Destroyer. "Right, Jana. Let's go. We've got about 6 minutes before we intercept that SD."

The two of them left the Rusty Mudcrutch's cockpit and headed down the long set of stairs to the cargo bay where the Echo was.

"So, what do you think?" Beryl asked Jana as they boarded. "Turrets, or should we just hang out on the bridge in case these explosive charges go horribly wrong?"

"Turrets it is then," said Beryl, grinning. "And whatever happens, at least we'll have front row seats for the show from there."

Beryl activated her comlink. "Hey, guys," she said to Jack and Cloud. "Rusty's set and ready. I set her to intercept the SD in less than five minutes, so you can detonate those explosives any time you're ready, Jack. Jana and I will be in the turrets if you need us."

She and Jana headed for the turrets.

Ryshana looked over at Nic at his comment, but all she saw of him was his hurried exit. With a brief sigh, Ryshana just shook her head. It's nobody's fault but his own that he has to hide from his past, she thought to herself. In the past, Ryshana knew that she would've chased after Nic to argue the point with him, but she had grown since then. There are some issues that need confronting only by the person dealing with them.

No one else was in the cockpit, but Ryshana knew that something was about to happen very soon. She didn't know the Echo very well, but Ryshana wasn't about to leave the cockpit with no one else in it. Sitting in the copilot's chair, Ryshana began to run through a couple of system checks.

"Cloud, I only have two explosives and let me handel this. And this things are extremely good at this situtations." He hand Cloud one of the dome shaped explosives "Inside that are two chemicals which alone are harmless. However once the barrier between them opens they mix which create can melt through anything. So we just need to place one of these one the floor here and on the controll planet and we just need to wait for the ship to decompress. Now put the bomb on the controll panel in the cockpit and get back to the Echo as fast as you."

"Jana and I are on board," Beryl said back to Cloud into her com, as she strapped herself in the lower turret. There really wasn't any point in getting in the Headhunter just yet. They were too close to the Star Destroyer, and it was unlikely to launch any fighters against an unarmed heavy freighter such as the Rusty Mudcrutch. The object of the game now was to use Rusty as a distraction so that they could make a hyperspace jump and get away.

Beryl leaned back in her seat and waited for the explosion. If it worked, the Echo would be free to exit the cargo bay. If it didn't.... She frowned. "It'll work," she said aloud to herself to boost her confidence.

Jack sat his pilot sweet and hit the butten on the intercome. "Closing boarding ramp!" He paused for several seconds before continueing "Bomb detonating in 5,4,3,2,1....errrm, now! Okkkkaaayyy... The thing should of blown up by now... I'm going to..." There was aloud zizzing sound and a blind light were given off from the bomb."Nevermind." There was a loud explosion and a large hole in the freighters doors, the rest of the door quickly crumbled apart. Jack then carefully revearsed the Echo out of the Rusty Mudcrutch, turned the ship 180 digrees and accelerated away from the Rusty Mudcrutch and the star destroyer.

Nic walked into the Bridge behind Jack and Ryshana he looked at the sensor readouts and smiled. The explosion had attracted the Imperials attention but the explosion had caused a disruption to sensors, masking thire presence from the imperials.

"We're home free Jack." He said smiling. "Nice work, Let's see those streaking stars."

((OCC- steven can you tell me where we go from here please in the discussion thread.))

"Hey captain, while I was waited I looked through the Imperal data we stole. And I've never seen so much bloody porn on a guys computer... however I found the location of the Rhea. It in empty space between Rodia and Tatooine. I can take the Correlian Run trade route and be there in a little less than a day. However we may run into imperial trouble but I seriously dought we'd come to that point."

(Just agree to Jack's plan and I'll sort everything else out :) )

Throughout the whole event, Ryshana took the time to study Jack's motions in order to figure out some of the intricasies of flying the Echo. Ryshana had been an excellent pilot in the Clone Wars, and it didn't take much for her to figure out how to pilot anything by just simply watching someone else use the controls. Leaning back, she used the Force to help imprint the memories even further.

However, Ryshana felt something distant suddenly brush up against her. Perplexed, Ryshana returned the brush and immidiately felt an intensely surge of the Dark Side. "Vader," Ryshana said under her breath. That's whenever she realized that she had gotten just a bit careless. Vader was on that Star Destroyer, and he now knew where she was. That also meant a couple of other problems...

"It took your Jedi powers to figure out that Vader was on that ship?" Asked Jack "That was his flagship, however there's rumour going around he'd getting a new ship. A new class ship. I'm guessing that it's going to be huge. A super star destroy if you wish." Jack informed as he brought the ship into hyperspace.

It had been a grand explosion Beryl had watched in the turret. A little too grand.

"Damn spots," she grumbled as she grappled her way up the turret ladder to the corridor, blinking her eyes as she went to try and rid the dark spots floating in front of her. It wasn't working. "Should have worn a flash visor," she chastised herself.

Reaching the corridor, she headed to the bridge, hugging the walls as she went as she still couldn't see properly. But she was interested in what she and Nic had managed to steal, as well as where they were headed next.

...getting a new ship," she heard Jack say just as she reached the bridge's threshold. "A new class ship. I'm guessing that it's going to be huge. A super star destroyer, if you wish."

The Echo jumped into hyperspace. "A super star destroyer?" Beryl asked as she squinted her eyes against the bright streaks of stars from the windows. "The Imps would need the power of a small sun to power something that big," she commented.

She blinked a few times. The spots in front of her eyes were fading, but still there. "So, what's the plan?" she asked whoever was standing in front of her, as there was a large black spot obscuring them from clear view.

"I don't much like the thought of that," Jana commented. "If they've got the technology to do that, future don't look incredibly bright for people of our nature..." She glanced over at Beryl. "How's the eyes? You look a mite dazed, there..."

"Well, since I can't see what I look like, I'll take your word for it," Beryl replied to Jana, or rather to the black spot where she figured Jana was. "It's just a bit of flashburn. I'll be alright in a few minutes. My fault for not wearing a flash visor." She grinned. "But it was one hell of an explosion! Cloud and Jack do good work, don't they?"

"I knew that he was on that ship, Jack," Ryshana replied as a bit of frustration mounted in her voice. "The problem was that he knows that I'm on this ship. He felt my presense when I was using the Force just now. He knows that I'm here."

Getting out of her seat, Ryshana looked up at Nic as she turned around. "I-I need a drink," Ryshana stated somewhat nervously to Nic. Quickly walking past Nic, Ryshana headed into the common area and pulled an ale from the cooler. Opening it, Ryshana didn't even bother to pour it into a glass. Instead, she put the whole thing up to her mouth and took a long swig.

Still standing near the threshold, Beryl saw a violet blur and felt a breeze as Ryshana walked past her and into the common room. She thought at first that the Jedi was overreacting, since they were already in hyperspace and well ahead of the Star Destroyer, even if it were to follow them. But then a disturbing thought crossed her mind. Maybe it didn't matter where they went. Maybe Vader could detect any Force Senstitive, Jedi or not, no matter how far away he was.

"Hey, Jana," she whispered, then nodded her head for Jana to come closer to her, not only so she could whisper but so she could at least see the outline of her head. "This... Force stuff.... Do you think someone has to actually be using the Force for Vader to detect them from so far away, like Rhyshana said he did her?" She nervously cleared her throat. "I mean, like Cloud, for instance. Do you think Vader could have detected him on board too, even if he wasn't doing anything, you know,... Forcey?"

"From what I've... heard," Jana answered carefully, "it depends on the level of Force sensitivity. If they're strong enough, they'd better know how to mask it. If they're not, then it doesn't seem to matter..." She shook her head. "Then again, that's just what I've... heard. I can't really... well, I can't really say."

Clearing her throat slightly, she went on, "I'll be... I'll be in my room if anyone needs me." At that, she left the bridge.
