Nalukai
I am a Chef at a Fine Dining restaurant. i got to work at 230 today and at approx 245 while i was unlocknig everything everyone heard a loud BOOM.... we didnt know wtf happened but the bud light guys came in and told me dude you have to see this... so we went outside. there was a maroon Ford Taurus embedded completely within our side wall up to the dashboard. after the initial shock and after the cops, the EMT, and the Fire Dept came... we got the 411 on what happened: 100 yards uphill there is this Savings gas station. the attendant on duty stated while i was talkin to the cops that this dude had just pumped gas then got into car and began to have an epileptic siezure... he tweeked the gas pedal and within 100 yards he jumped a 5 foot drop blew all 4 tires... then blasted through our upper dining room going approx 45-50 mph. i ran up to the car tryin to talk to the dude, who miraculously was still concious asking if he was alright and did he know where he was... who his name was... typical questions to those in shock...... he was completely clueless on what happened and seemed alright believe it or not he just have some gashes in the back of his head from the recoil of the airbags- which both had already deflated. so we saw a collection of antifreeze, transmission fluid, and gasoline running at a constant stream out of the car so we were all freaking out thinking that the car could catch on fire... luckily the fire dept got him out but we saw mass streams of water come out underneath the side door to the upper dining room... so we hi-tailed it into there Turns out the main water line ran through that wall so within minutes the entire dining area was flooded with 2 inches of water... we were FREAKING out, cuz there were extension cords plugged in on the ground PLUS the Foyer by that wall had oil lamps that were lit so there was oil mixed in with the water.... I wasnt even sure if I was grounded... but to prevent the rest of the restaurant getting waterlogged I smelled something burning but saw no sparks and I have like 2 inch thick rubber soles on my work shoes... I waded through death to get that side door, opened it so the flow of the water would be transferred downhill outside instead of the restaurant. the damage is unbelievable and barely describable... everything on that wall was knocked at least 20 feet across the room... including the 200 year old Foyer that is irreplacable... it knocked both 300 lb wooden arches off the cieling 15 feet over the dining room tables... he drove through 3 layers of brick AND 2 layers of drywall plus severed the main water line and all electric wires in that area ( hence the fact i didnt get ****in raossted wading across the mess) we dont even know if the dude is alright or not yet... they got him out and threw him in a C-spinal brace and towed the car immediately to get it away form the wiring since there was gas leakes in both areas. Needless to say we only opened for like 3 hours today ( we open at 5- I cant imagine if ppl were dining in there when that happened... someone might have been killed) plus we are not even sure if the insurance is gonna cover it we shot tons of video and pics from it... I shot some on my cell phone but with my ****ty 2 meg rez the only pic worth a **** is the impact on the outside... unfortunately my cell was inside and I never got the car on the phone.. this is by far the craziest **** i have ever witnessed... and im sure there will be something on our news or paper on it i will send link tomorrow so you can get all the detials there. all i know is the ENTIRE wall on that side inside and out has to be torn out and completely redid, plus the hardwood floors warped immediately due to the amount of water on them... so we are looking at MINIMUM around 40K worth of damage... not including all the 100 year plus antiques that were detroyed and irreplacable- which them in themselves are considered priceless.... i still cant believe this **** happend....... TiE23
Dang, that must have been exciting despite the chaos. Get those pics hosted! Also, where do you live? I'm looking on the internet for a news story or something but nothing shows up. Where there any news people there in the first place? Because it makes the TV news when some drunk person runs into a Liquor store so I assume something would be reported.
Samuel Dravis
Whoo. Sounds like you had some fun. I wonder though, how the guy got a license if he has seizures like that? If he skipped a med or something I think he's going to be in trouble...
Nalukai
my pictures are on my cell phone and i have nothing installed to xfer them ( tryin to get new cpu).... however he wasnt drunk he had an epileptic siezure... which you are not spose to even be in a car for 1 full eyar without an episode( my dads and epileptic thats how i know this)... so i dunno wtf is gonna happen... i didnt have my phone on me with the car imbedded but i got the dining room pics and the outside on camera phone... the inside i had to turn phone sideways and with 2 megapixel its still even barely legible. spur of the momnet not thinking type ****... i live in mississippi and i will host the story tomorrow cuz i thought we talked to reporters today beven tho they didnt look tlike it... i thought they were insurace peeps... but im sure this **** will be papper hee tomorrow no doubt... will send link in morning.... narfblat
That is crazy, but I feel sorry for the guy, most people can't control seizures, and things like this can happen. Most? You mean there are some who can? "I don't want to work today, I think I'll have a seizure." Good luck getting everything sorted out, Nalukai. Nalukai
well the pic of th iside was in our paper today... titled " Car on the Menu? " (lol) pretty much didnt say anything, that the cops refused to disclose info and that the guy suffere3d only minor injuries, so it turns out he was alright.. i figured it would be on our paper online but we havent found a pic yet on there... if one shows up ill post it. ET Warrior
suffere3dI think you accidentally 1337ed That really sucks for you and the guy. One would assume his license will be revoked since it's not particularly safe for someone with epileptic seizures to be driving a car....
