Reclaimer
It's possible...with Linux. I couldn't believe this untill I read THIS That's the wikipedia section about iPod Linux. Then, while searching around Goole Videos, I found THIS That's freakin' Half-Life 1 on a iPod!! And there suppose to be more games, like Doom and Tetris playable on there too! So the real question is, would you get it if you had a iPod Nano? I would, after I read more on it. Post thoughts/comments on this topic.
Det. Bart Lasiter
I wouldn't play games on an mp3 player. I would watch movies on one though, which is why I got one of these. I don't have to f*** around putting Linux on it and it has a larger screen that was meant for video playback.
Reclaimer
The games part is kinda stupid because the controls would be messed up, but the video looks awesome. Up to 90 minutes of video, which is very good on the Nano.

At any rate, the batteries Apple uses lose their ability to hold a charge quickly unless you go through some annoying process for recharging it. Reclaimer
That's why I have the car adapter, USB port, and wall outlet plug-in. I'm all set and ready to go with my iPod. You just have to be able to afford the extra recharge equipment.
Char Ell
Simply put, I'm just not interested in watching video on such a small screen. The idea has no appeal for me whatsoever. Now if someone comes out with cool-looking 3D glasses for the Nano or iPod then I would be interested in that, just as long as the glasses didn't give me a headache and didn't weigh more than 8 ounces. lukeiamyourdad
^^^^ That is quite true. It would hurt my eyes after 5 min. Frankly, the idea of portable video player is dumb. It kills the pleasure of sitting on your butt and watching something.

lukeiamyourdad
Which does indeed kill part of the fun.
Det. Bart Lasiter
It's better than analyzing some book or going over useless formulas.
lukeiamyourdad
Perhaps, but the long term benefits of analysing a book or a formula far outweighs those of watching a video on an iPod

I hate Voltaire and I've been doing this level of physics and math since high school. Plus I'm not watching them on an iPod
Reclaimer
I have to agree with jmac7142.... Watching videos on an MP3 Player is so much more fun.
RC-1162
i recently got an iPod Nano and i realised that the batteries are hogged by the backlight, so i set the backlight timer to 2 seconds. the thing is, if you wanna watch videos you need to be in a brightly lit room or strain your eyes, so id rather keep my eyes closed and pop my ears rather than my eyes. HerbieZ
Id probably go slightly insane trying to defeat Nihilanth and his Garg buddies whilst using a click wheel sat on the bus.
stingerhs
well, i have an iPod Video, and i can definately say that its a very nice feature to be able to watch movies or video clips when you otherwise could not. the only problem is that the battery doesn't last too long, especially for the big, backlit screen. still, just plug it into a car outlet or a wall outlet, and its just fine. but video on a Nano?!? i can understand where that might give you some serious migraines... Astrotoy7
Im over portable anything. The PSP was fun for a while and now that holds no real interest to me, except maybe on long trips My attention has gone onto huge screens and home theaters setups atm.... I watched ROTS on a large screen recently and the detail you pick up compared to a standard/small screen is just phenomenal... mtfbwya
