It's possible...with Linux. I couldn't believe this untill I read THIS

That's the wikipedia section about iPod Linux.

Then, while searching around Goole Videos, I found THIS

That's freakin' Half-Life 1 on a iPod!! And there suppose to be more games, like Doom and Tetris playable on there too!

So the real question is, would you get it if you had a iPod Nano? I would, after I read more on it.

The games part is kinda stupid because the controls would be messed up, but the video looks awesome. Up to 90 minutes of video, which is very good on the Nano.

Check the video playback time for the link I gave. At any rate, the batteries Apple uses lose their ability to hold a charge quickly unless you go through some annoying process for recharging it.

Simply put, I'm just not interested in watching video on such a small screen. The idea has no appeal for me whatsoever. :indif:

Now if someone comes out with cool-looking 3D glasses for the Nano or iPod then I would be interested in that, just as long as the glasses didn't give me a headache and didn't weigh more than 8 ounces.

i recently got an iPod Nano and i realised that the batteries are hogged by the backlight, so i set the backlight timer to 2 seconds. the thing is, if you wanna watch videos you need to be in a brightly lit room or strain your eyes, so id rather keep my eyes closed and pop my ears rather than my eyes.

well, i have an iPod Video, and i can definately say that its a very nice feature to be able to watch movies or video clips when you otherwise could not. the only problem is that the battery doesn't last too long, especially for the big, backlit screen. still, just plug it into a car outlet or a wall outlet, and its just fine.

but video on a Nano?!? i can understand where that might give you some serious migraines...

Im over portable anything. The PSP was fun for a while and now that holds no real interest to me, except maybe on long trips :) My attention has gone onto huge screens and home theaters setups atm.... I watched ROTS on a large screen recently and the detail you pick up compared to a standard/small screen is just phenomenal...
