I think I'm the only Star Wars fan out there who's tired of Jedi Based games. As I was playing through KOTOR I was thinking to myself, "I wish that I didn't have to become a Jedi again." Maybe this is because my fav SW character was Han Solo. I agree with Redtech, being the scum of the universe would be fun.

Why not do something that has to do with the hunting down of the last Jedi?

Word.

As said, a smuggler type would make a great game, you can go either way... either hunt down the jedi scums, or help out the Alliance. Or maybe both. I be of kotor like "you date a run away jedi padawan" is not too bad either...

Either way, a non-jedi character would be more fun, simply cause most main characters for star wars games have been Jedi, or the like. I am actually happy that they did make a Bounty Hunter game(as bad as it is) and that Dash does not become a jedi later on like Kyle (even though Kyle is cool)

Well, who said you have to be a bounty hunter? What about mercenaries who fight wars for profit, or a micro-terrorist or maybe something as naughty as a shoplifter? Or what about traders, merchants who get cool ships and do 'legal' trades or maybe not-so-legal...

Oh, and NO JEDI! Unless you're out to kill them, but then good luck to you.

no i strongley disagree most of you are saying no jedi but i am saying that there should be jedi see in this game you can be and discover any thing you want and i think it should be in two full sequels prequel and original trilogy there are lots of jobs but i think learn the ways of the force would be great imagine you could travel to ancinet jedi planets and recover holocorns learn histroy of sith and jedi so you could discover anything in each job not just jedis so see this game must have jedis because if a cool star wars game like this comes out with this detailes it would be very bad not to have jedi in it

I think a fun game would be where you start out as simple civilian and you can choose your own path. For example you could decide to be a Storm Trooper for the Empire and gain ranks and stuff like that. You could decide you want to be a merchant and make lots of cash. You could discover that you had force powers and become a Jedi. You could work for Jabba the Hutt and be a smuggler or Bounty Hunter. You could be a Officer for the Rebel Alliance. Stuff like that but with a more KOTOR gaming style.

There is that JarJar game for kids where you get to do some SimCity like thingy with Ota Gunga...

And what would be really simple and neat and much needed would be a nice StarWars Casino game... We do want to play Sabacc and others... and would be fun rolling dice and casting a worlder in a multi-player online game. Simple game with character being a gambler would be WONDERFUL. Remember as a gambler or Nar Shaddaa you also get to go on shady missions and shooting up thugs and what not. And if you are lucky enough you might just buy a city... or even a few planets.

What we need is a Jar Jar game.

Um... ye- no. If you did, name it "Jar Jar's Big Adventure," a working title for ep. II :smash:

I kind of agree with the thread starter though, it would be nice to have some more story-based [Jedi] games in the prequel era. Battlefront II just didn't do it for me, and Ep. III the game never came out on PC *sniff*.

How about some random Jedi Master getting shot from the top of a Juggernaut, only to survive the carnage, slaughtered the clones who follow him, got saved by a backstabbing devil, and goes hiding into the hills with thw wookiees where his master is macking some thousand year old greatgrandma.

Makes for a good game?

Well obviously you can add a whole lot of things before that, like the Said jedi Master got mindwiped, like his padawan turning Darkside almost, like him going undercover, like him falling in love, like him walking the thin line between light and dark and so and so. Would make for a nice original story.

Yeah, what if you start after you just finish being a Youngling and are promoted to an apprentice. Then maybe somehow your master dies and you have to go through the trials and you get your own apprentice and you have to build a lightsaber and then you can become a member of the council. Or also you could go to the dark side and join the Sith and then you can be promoted to a Sith Lord and fight Jedi.

^^^ That wouldn't really work seeing as the order was never secretly rebuilt.

Well, I am sure some of the leftover jedis might have tried for an insurrection of the Order, but from what we know none succeed in doing so, though some manage to retain a small group of followers and survive the pacifying.

So its like a JK series in the past? Well that might work I guess. I don't know if the sith lord thing is a good idea though. I think the max you should be able to attain lightside is a jedi master(non-council) and anything goes since a DS endign is probably non-canon. (as in tradition, cause it is unfortunate that we don't have Emperor Kyle)

Actually It might even be fun if they do it like JK, but with even better saber fights and moves and blocks. You can do away from the shooty weapons, since even in JA the shooty weapons are only secondary toys in many levels anyways. Its better than the idea of a Twi'lek dancer turned assassain for the Alliance trying to yet again steal some deathstar plans.
