Tysyacha
...did Darth Vader have several Dark Jedi in his service, or not? They may not have been Sith, because they were of lower rank than Vader and the Emperor, but did they exist, at least?
Rogue15
Mara Jade, as far as I know, but she was trained by Emperor Palpatine as an assassin.
woogiee
I dont think Vader had any in HIS service, but the Emperor did. I know its not cannon but my Jedi in Star Wars Galaxies was RP'd as an assassin for the Emperor
MachineCult
Like woogiee said, it isn't known if Vader had any but the Emperor did, as seen in Jedi Knight, a Dark Jedi was General of an Imperial fleet.

Darth InSidious
There were several of the Emperor's Hands/assassins, but whether they even count as Dark Jedi...I got the feeling that they were more Dark Force Users...Not powerful enough to be called Dark Jedi...Palpatine was rather paranoid. I'll agree to this, Palpatine never allowed Vader to have an apprentice of his own. Just like he told Anakin in ROTS, "all who gain power are afraid to lose it". Tysyacha
Rats. There goes my idea of co-writing a first-person Vader-era novel from the point of view of a Force User/Dark Jedi "In Vader's Service." P.S. The other author would be my teacher/Master on both counts, both when I was a Jedi and when I fell to the Dark Side.
Point Man
Rats. There goes my idea of co-writing a first-person Vader-era novel from the point of view of a Force User/Dark Jedi "In Vader's Service." P.S. The other author would be my teacher/Master on both counts, both when I was a Jedi and when I fell to the Dark Side. Write it anyway. It sounds like a good idea for a story. The Star Wars universe is full of contradictions. Besides, just because the movies don't show it does not mean it can't exist.
Sabretooth
No, no in the movies but it's there in the borderline-canon crap-pile we call the Expanded Universe. I don't choose to believe it.

I have heard that the Crimson Guard were Sith. Am I wrong?

Jae Onasi
Rats. There goes my idea of co-writing a first-person Vader-era novel from the point of view of a Force User/Dark Jedi "In Vader's Service." P.S. The other author would be my teacher/Master on both counts, both when I was a Jedi and when I fell to the Dark Side. I say go for it. The movies don't say that he _doesn't_ have something like this. The only thing I'll say is that having written my fic in 1st person, I dearly wish I'd done it in 3rd person, because 3rd gives a lot more freedom. I've had to do much more plot and dialog engineering in first person than I would have had to do in 3rd, and sometimes that's presented some unique challenges. Inyri
Those challenges can be part of the fun of writing in first person. It does give a story an entirely new dimension that's not there in third-person literature, which can either be a good or bad thing dependant on how skilled the writer is. Tysyacha, if you don't intend to have your story jumping from the perspective of this apprentice to others, or don't intend to include scenes where this apprentice is not present, then I'd say run with the first person. It could certainly make for a very interesting account. "A day in the life of Lord Vader's apprentice" .
RC-1162
actually, if youve read "the Crystal Star" then you'll know that vader trained two Firrerro to be dark jedi. they were Hethrir and Rillao. hethrir passed his exams and was a darksider Rillao was too kind hearted so hethrir (her husband\) left her
Ztalker
^ ^ i didn't know that...i was led to believe that Vader was the military leader of the Empire, with Siddious on the background training Mara Jade etc. In the Heir of the Empire-books, Grand Admiral Thrawn mentions that Darth Vader was supposed to lead the defense of the second Death Star, and failed. He claims that it was Vader to blame for the loss of the Executor and all the other ships. From that, i concluded for myself that DV was more of a military guy...
