Master Jimmy
Should Al Pachino have accepted the role of Han Solo? I personally don't know, but I wan't to hear what you guys think
abcd1234
I dunno, I think Ford did a great job in it and I could picture him as the role more but that is because I have seen him as Han Solo. It is tough trying to imagine anyone else in the role but then again, if anyone else had taking the part, we would have a hard time imagining anyone else playing the character. REDJOHNNYMIKE
I actually could see him playing the role, but Ford IS the role. Although who knows, maybe if Solo was less cocky and more "SAY ELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!" It would've had enough impact on the series to make the PT more like a Sin City or Kill Bill and less childish.
El Sitherino
Sure, what the hell. If Ford didn't get it, I'm sure Pacino woulda been good.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
Maybe it would've even resulted in Jar Jar being replaced by a twin blaster wielding twilek stripper:D
Diego Varen
Maybe, but I voted no (Why has nobody voted on the Poll yet?) Harrison Ford makes Han Solo a funny, enjoyable Character through the OT. I don't think anyone could replace him.
El Sitherino
It would've had enough impact on the series to make the PT more like a Sin City or Kill Bill and less childish. Because the originals weren't childish or anything.
RC-1162
personally, i see Al Pacino as a villainish type of character, Ford was the most suitable for Han Solo cause i dont see Pacino going and snogging Carrie Fisher
REDJOHNNYMIKE
@Sith, Yeah they were, but the PT crossed the line of my tolerance (I wouldn't be here if I couldn't stand the OT at all;))
Commander Obi-Wan
personally, i see Al Pacino as a villainish type of character, Ford was the most suitable for Han Solo cause i dont see Pacino going and snogging Carrie Fisher What's wrong with that? If Pacino was actually Solo, you wouldn't've said that, I bet.
DarthOxyClean
Kurt Russell originally tryed out for the Han Solo role. Kinda scary. I would take Ford over pachino for the Han Solo role anyday.
The Doctor
Nah. Harrison Ford not only defined the part, but he was still able to break type-cast. That's the mark of a good actor.
Jeff
I liked Harrison Ford as Han Solo a lot, but I think if Al Pachino had the role I would be saying the same thing. Probably.
lukeiamyourdad
No. I don't picture Al Pacino as a loveable character. It's hard to think of him as a nice guy like Ford's Han Solo.
mimic666
No because then Pacino would have been "Indiana Jones"
El Sitherino
I don't picture Al Pacino as a loveable character. You clearly haven't seen Carlito's Way.
Jae Onasi
No, Harrison Ford all the way. Compare them both running towards the stormtroopers in that one scene where he's totally outnumbered, they figure it out, they turn around, he turns around and runs away. Pacino would run like a girl. You need someone who can do some manly running like Ford.
Point Man
Gotta go with Ford. He was able to project that cowboy attitude. I can't imagine Han Solo as a cop or gangster, the extent of Pacino's acting ability.
lukeiamyourdad
You clearly haven't seen Carlito's Way. And I haven't.
Jerec Skywalker
I say no, because Harrison Ford has that cocky additude and Al Pachino has the double personality. Think about it, would you want Scarface flying the Mellinium Falcon and Han Solo as a Godfather?
Master Jimmy
Pachino would be more greedy than cocky, you'll see that a lot if you've seen scarface But I'm sure we would be saying that Pachino would do a better job if he accepted the role
