swphreak
Saw this yesterday. Jon Stewart pwns. I wish he'd have Jack Thompson on his show as a guest. He'd freakin' own him.
Samnmax221
That one representative talking about CIV IV reminded me of this. You have to watch partway into it at least.
Tyrion
How do you beat Civ IV anyway? Win a single game? Although, judging at the state of the government currently, I wouldn't be surprised if he'd have a couple problems doing so.
Samnmax221
You don't, He isn't going to be happy when he wins his first scenario only to get a rating of "Dan Quayle"
Pie™
Haha, I like the idea of famous (and powerful?) comedians actually attacking this so-called issue. Is John Stewart the first one to jump on this?
Det. Bart Lasiter
Haha, I like the idea of famous (and powerful?) comedians actually attacking this so-called issue. Is John Stewart the first one to jump on this?Jon Stewart was the first one to say something so blatent on network TV. I'm not sure why anyone cares that he said it, it was mildly entertaining when he did so, but it wasn't even the funniest thing he said/did that episode. Pie™
At least it gives it a different kind of attention, this guy must have influence to some degree.
Det. Bart Lasiter
At least it gives it a different kind of attention, this guy must have influence to some degree.Kind of. Most of his audience has already heard this sort of thing from other comedians on HBO/Shotime or in comedy clubs, the rest of his audience consists of teens who are shocked that he'd say that on TV (and who also watch the reruns day after the episode airs). So, even though he said it, it fell on deaf/uncaring ears.
Pie™
I see... Bottom line is, it was a funny clip.
