Considering the fact that LucasArts sees the KotOR series as a successful, ongoing franchise which they feel they must expand upon and 'not leave behind', I find it unlikely that they'd never make KotOR III. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that they definitely will make KotOR III. But when? Well put it this way, don't be surprised if it doesn't come out in 2008. Feb 09' is what I'd put my money on.

It's no longer a question of "If". It's a question of "When".

'09, '10, it doesn't matter just as long as it's worth the wait.

A few visual upgrades.

Juice up the color, shadows, clothing and gear in movement.

Animations during combat will need some spice.

Something has to be done with the NPC redundancy.

Tighten up the gameplay abit.

Make the boss battles worth the effort of character preparation.

Delve deeper into the effects of personal relationships and the consequences thereof.

Expand and finish the story well. Can we go somewhere else besides Dantooine and Korriban?

Where the heck is Revan?

...and if there are a couple of surprizes thrown in, so be it.

But, iv actually read rumours by BioWare themself of a secret project with the hint of KOTOR III, they have to do it Obsidian screwed TSL up in my opinion and i highly doubt it will be in the next four years, if BioWare keeps their words and dont bull**** about geting us excited with the terms of "secret project" or "along the lines of star wars.." it should come out by late next year or early 2008! but you know game developers.. they can just ditch the idea or leave it for years to come.

You don't know how tempting it would be to write lucasarts and establish a game development company based upon a group of Kotor modders and see how well we could convince them to let us do it. Then we can guaruntee ourselves a few different things.

A: Modability.

B: Control of the formats.(Likely the same file formats)

C: We know the community so we could likely provide some of what the community wants.(Not all though)

D: Many other points I've likely missed.

If it should really take till 2010, I expect a lot more than this.

Just imagine what the graphic standards are then. Kotor III with "some visual upgrades" wouldn't stand a chance against competitors.

Obsidian didn't screw up TSL, LucasArts rushed them, because Christmas was drawing ever closer. If LucasArts hadn't rushed them, they could have released both the Xbox and PC version by July 2005 with all the content in. BioWare themselves have said that they weren't interested in making any sequels for KOTOR.

If BioWare had no intrest in making another KOTOR why did they mention a secret project hinting about KOTOR III in the Mass Effect interview the staff of OAXM had with them ? Are they just lieing to get us excited :(

And dont get the wrong impression that im saying they said they are sure their making KOTOR III, it says when one of the OAXM staff asked "besides Mass Effect what other projects do you have in mind ?" and BioWare answeared "nothing yet we are mostly focused on Mass Effect" then again the staff said "what about KOTOR III is there anyway you would be working on the antisipated third sequal of the KOTOR franchise ?" and BioWare said - "we cannot really say yet we are mainly focusing on Mass Effect but we do have ideas for a secret project....KOTOR III...maybe?"

THATS EXACTLY THE QUOTES!!!!! I COPIED STRAIGHT OUT OF THE MAG! JUST THEN

That is because your file ends with .TIF which is not a graphics format that is accepted. You need to open "File0658.TIF" in an image editor program like PhotoShop or Microsoft Paint then save the file as a .jpg so when it's done the filename will be File0658.jpg. Once the .tif has been converted to a .jpg then you will be able to upload the file.

Well, unless it is also in a British version or American version, then I might also believe you.

Good luck in your proof that may prove me wrong.

I cant upload it, help! it says

Upload Error

The file "File0658.TIF" does not have a valid image extension.

Valid image extensions are: gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, swf.

how do i fix it so i can upload it ?

depending on your system, it may also be enough to edit the title. instead of file0658.TIF you name it file0658.jpg

if that doesn't work, use photoshop or paintshop pro or the like.
