KOTOR III-The Bounty Hunters

Sam!

Recommended Posts

Okay, story is you're a republic soldier, and your cruiser gets attacked. You get taken prisooner by a group of really powerful bounty hunters (eg- verpine prototype sheilds, armour with defense bonus 20) accompanied by a Sith Lord and his apprentice. You meet a Jedi and you escape, and he trains you in the force. If your journey you meet others and you get hunted down by the bounty hunters and the 2 sith. Lets just say 1 by 1 u eliminate them, and the final battle with Darth Whoever takes place in a republic embassy on naboo, where you kill him and so on. Then you take on his apprentice, Darth Whoever and you follow her (yes her) to an unknown planet where your ship crashes... and you meet a group of Jedi Masters, who cut off her connection to the force and with you, rebuild an enclave on Dantooine. Post wat u think like rating out of 10.

The main problem is that, with this storyline, you would get personal quests and wouldn't decide, by your behavour, of the fate of other planets, like you can do in K1 and K2. It's one of the greatest interest in the games, and it's absent in your story... It would break a very important point of the KotOR games.

By the way, the PC and the party acting just to save themselves, they wouldn't really be "Knights of the Old Republic", as they'd not act for or against the Republic (ok, the title may just refer to the era, the Old Republic. But then again they wouldn't be "Knights"...).

And you are completly forgetting the Mandalorian Wars, Revan, the Exile, and all the things that matter.

The story is good is good indeed, but not for a K3, IMO.

Abandoning the fact that it has NO mention of the True Sith, since one can jurry-rig the True Sith inside the game (have the Darth Whomever be a True Sith)...as well as jurry-rig mentioning of Revan and Exile...

-Too lineral and rail-roady. I have no effect on the planets I go to.

-No LS/DS. Why CAN'T I be evil?

-I don't like Bounty Hunting! I want to be a Jedi (or, if not a Jedi, then a Sith), not a Non-Jedi, Non-Sith Force User! That would just be silly...

-Why must I kill them? I mean, all I can do is wait, right?

-You are a Bounty Hunter, trained by some Jedi as a padawn, and in 10 weeks, you slaughter all of the Sith! Bwah? A Padawn, killing off the Sith? That's stupid!

In K1, you were a great Jedi and could destroy Malak because you were actually Revan. In K2, you were a great Jedi and could destroy Traya because you were a wound in the Force. In k3, you were a great Jedi and could destroy the Sith...because of...what? If a bounty hunter/padawn can destroy the whole Sith, then why are you important? Why not send...say...Bastilla? You insult the Sith by doing so, as well as make the game implasubile. I'm not calling for realism in a game where things can float...but I am calling for the game to have some sembalnce of sense.

Nope. I hate this story. 0/10.

I agree with most of the people but I do have an idea thats a spin off of this. I believe it would be a good idea to be able to choose from the beginning if you want to be trained by the Jedi or to be trained by the Sith, but you can still be redeemed or go evil by your actions. Get where I'm going? I don't know if its possible to do this, but I think it would be cool.

Edit: Big typo

You can always improve your plot, since the game hasnt been released yet!

Starting by the beggining (after the character creation pallete appears, and you choose your charcter appearance, now its possible to create aliens as well) it would be ok for me if you're on the bridge, working on your shift as the second on command, and the ship is suddenlly attacked and boarded by those bounty hunters (though I prefer pirates). Many of your conrades die, including the ship captain. You gather the survivors and a plan a little resistance. That would be the very tutorial, showing you the basics and the advanced of the game.

You put a good fight, and make the pirates retreat to their ship. You then, as the ship new captain, order half the crew to acompany you in the boarding of the pirates vessel and you tell the other half to wait on the Republic ship to wait them and keep the engines warm to any evedntual retreat. After killing many hunters, you arrive at a seemingly desert bridge.

(CUTSCENE)However, a bunch of "shadows" take out your team one by one quickly, until only you rests. From the captain chair, a shady and hooded person get up, walks in your direction _ You, strangely, dont seems to be able to move or shot him_ and cut your arm with a vibrosword. (/CUTCENE)

Then the usual character creation screen apears. Again you create your character (this time, human only). After that, the cuscene resumes, and the hooded figure, shows his/her head. Its your recently created character! He's your actual character, not the republic one.

You tell your pirate companions that just appeared, including the shady ones, that they're off to Sleyheron to resupply, and a get more men for the crew. However, the, Republic officer you were controlling, contact the Republic vessel, and clicking on the alert button of his comlink, tells the vessel to flee... then he faint.

This I believe, would be a little improvement to your story, since it looks like Kotor, and I've left a number of events, chooses, and happenings, that can affect your entire gaming experience. Also, the Republic officer can become your apprentice, follower, thug, whatever the player choose.
