Aya nodded. "Sure we...." Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a strange sight--Carwyn dancing in the rain with Tellis in a most suave manner. She looked at Kyo. "Strange things happening all over tonight," she commented softly.

She caught Tellis's gaze as she and Carwyn twirled past them. "Is Carwyn alright?" Aya asked her over Kyo's shoulder. "His eyes look a bit... odd."

"He's fine," Tellis replied. "Just a bit...entranced at the moment." She winked at Aya, then guided Carwyn and herself closer to Aya and Kyo. "Though he is getting a bit hard to lead, being so much bigger than I, so..." The music rounded a slow turn in the melody and Tellis's movements seemed to flow in time with the tune as she somehow managed to guide her hands into Aya's while guiding Carwyn's into Kyo's at the same time. Before the warrior, the merchant or the utterly sloshed ranger knew anything, Tellis had managed to take Aya away from Kyo, and make Carwyn his new dancing partner.

The grey-eyed healer smiled at her handiwork as she lead Aya on, looking into her surprised brown eyes. "Sorry about that, hope you don't mind terribly," she said. Turning her head slightly, she addressed Kyo. "Keep him dancing, I'll take him back soon enough."

Aya didn't really know what to say being suddenly whisked away from Kyo by Tellis, but she couldn't help but grin at the sight of the befuddled Kyo once again finding himself dancing with another man--this time an inebriated Carwyn instead of Kai.

But Tellis was a very smooth dancer--better than Kyo was, and with Aya's thoughts muddled from the ale, the music still playing, and the rain beginning to pour down on them, all Aya could do was laugh at complete silliness of the situation and follow Tellis' lead.

"You sure are full of surprises," she told Tellis.

Kai walked through the city, the rain that began to fall slowly at first and then more steadily, was ignored. He watched the people scurrying out of the rain, confused about the sudden and unexpected down pour, and seaking shelter. But Kai was non plussed, what did it matter? It was just water. So he kept walking, his solitary eye darting around, but not really seeing anything. He would be able to react to any threat, but he didn't 'really' notice his surroundings. He wandered for awhile, then stopped and looked around, paying attention for a few moments. Nobody was nearby, he moved to the side of a building and pulled himself up ontop of it. He moved around to the other side, and in an overhang where this building ran right up against another he slipped into a small area there. The ground was damp, from the spray, but with a few blankets he stopped that and sat down upon one. Closing his eyes and slowing his breathing.

He drifted into a half sleep, he hand't truly slept in years, too many dangers in this world. The small cubby showed evidence of his having been staying here for a few days. His pack tucked away in here, his head now rested against the pack. His mind wandered over the things that had happened today. His body healing rapidly, by morning his wounds would be mere nuisances, all of his blood had been alchemically treated to make him heal faster. That had been long ago, in his years as a government assassin. His mind wandered to that time, flickers of dark deeds. He had moved like a gentle breeze, leaving no trace and causing no sound.

He had been quick, and agile, a man of death and little else. It had taken it's toll on his pysche, the endless killing, the time between deaths spent traveling and training himself to always be a better assassin. He had been known as 'The Traceless Death' he used techniques that would kill a man in his sleep by stopping his heart. Old men died in their sleep often. He had known many other ways to kill a man, and sometimes despite his skill it would spill into the public eye. He frowned, in his half sleep, thinking of one such occasion.

Kai's body twisted itself and contorted, he was under a dock, above him the many feet of sailor's and dock laborer's made a steady noise upon the wood. Hurried and muffled it was. He listened intently, his mark was unique, he wore a metal sole upon his left shoe. He would make a very distinct sound when he walked. Kai would trace this sound and move udner him, and with a thin dagger would apply a simple and slow acting poison into the sole of the man's non metal soled foot. There would be only a prick, the man would assume he had stepped on something.

But something went wrong, somebody spotted his finger as he moved rapidly, going for the mark he had finally heard. A call had gone out, the metal footed man had looked down and seen Kai there, the dagger poised to stab him. The man was a warrior, and he had broken through the wood dock, grabbing Kai and throwing him against a wall.

Kai sputtered, caught by suprise. He looked around, a dozen guards had moved into position around him. They all had weapons pointed at him. He grinned at them, they were not put at ease by his grin though. He threw the dagger up in the air, and then stung out with both hands as th men were distracted. He crused the throats of two of the dozen guards. He jumped spinning as he did, his foot collided with the knife, sending it flying. He continued the arc and his foot then hit another guard in the side of the head. Knocking him to the ground. Kai spun around one hand turning him while the other grabbed the leg of yet another guard, and spun him around as well. He hit the ground in a heavy thud. Kai knew he was outmatched though, and as he jumped up. He grinned broader, and pointed. The guards turned, their master was staring at the dagger stuck in his shoulder. Kai's kicked had aimed it true, when they turned back though Kai was gone, diving into the water.

The man died the next day of the poison.

((That's my last post till morning :p If you guys get to morning and i'm not posting Kai will show up at dawn at the tavern and be having breakfast when the other start coming down.))

The bat that had been harmlessly huddled on it's upside down perch fluttered away, moments before the rain started. Obviously the creature wanted to find better shelter.

Momaents later, the old fellow came back out, he was in a distant, and distracted mood, his aze looking off away from the festiveties ever so often.

"Something isn't right," he muttered to himself.

The old man kept walking, until he suddenly found himself in the middle of a dance floor. To his utter surprise and amazement, he saw the young Miss S'Ornaku, dancing with another young lady, along with two of her male companions dancing, one looking like he was in a serious stupor.

The old man smiled, "oh-ho, I've seen alot in my life, but this is by far the most amusing!"

He walked off the dance floor, sitting at a nearby table. He smiled and watched the dancers, but he would often look to the sky, frowning, and muttering to himself. He put his hood up, as the rain began to come down harder, he stared at the ground, his eyes squinted to slits, yet they remained open.

He studied the few sparse plants on the ground, mostly grass and weeds. He looked back up after awhile and watched the dancing, but his face was no longer smiling, and he didn't seem to be paying attention, his mind seemingly elsewhere.

A dark wind began to pick up, with a howl like that of a demon’s, and thunder came crashing down in the distance. The rain dropped in temperature and increased in density, now coming down in a merciless onslaught of near-frozen rain. This was unfortunate for those party goers who wanted to be outside, but also like hell for those at the docks and at sea, struggling to make sure that the ships stayed intact during the storm. Unfortunately for them, it would not matter much longer.

The massive bone dragon dive-bombed straight into the harbor, causing unmatched havoc as it ripped the masts off of ships and crushed them. There was very little resistance, and what resistance there was the dragon crushed with ease as it tore the harbor apart. The massive roar it let out once it had finished its task let the rest of the island know that it had arrived. It also sent a mental burst to every Elementalist on the island.

Join us and be granted with unimaginable power or you will have your souls devoured!

((I’m giving Force a bit of control of this dragon as well. Mostly just for wreaking havoc and such. And I’m assuming that since Jasra’s character is this spirit elementalist, she’ll hear the message as well.))

"You sure are full of surprises," she told Tellis.

Tellis smirked at Aya's statement. "You have no idea," she replied.

Aya, still a little buzzed, cocked her head to the side. "Oh?"

"Shh, that's neither here nor there," Tellis said, waving her hand dismissively. Leaning in close, she looked into Aya's eyes and asked, "What do you know of the Obake Blade?"

Aya pulled back slightly, a little startled by the question. "Aside from the old legends and what Kyo has said about it, not much." She leaned back in to whisper. "I think he's a little crazy for being so...well, crazy about it, but that's just me."

Tellis chuckled, mulling over the merchant's answer. She slid her tongue over her lower lip, then asked, "And how much do you trust Kyo?"

Aya arched an eyebrow. "Enough." At Tellis' questioning stare, she elaborated, "Well, with warrior-type stuff like fighting and hitting things, I'd trust him pretty far. " She then remembered the visit to the old woman's house earlier in the day. "With other, weirder things...not so much."

"Ah, I see." Tellis shifted her body suddenly, pressing it closer to Aya's. "And how much do you trust me?"

Before Aya could respond, the rain intensified greatly, splattering them with giant fat raindrops. As they both turned their heads to look up at the sky, a loud, rumbling noise that sounded very much like an animalistic roar permeated the air.

Aya blanched at the roaring sound that seemed to rumble through to her very core. "What the...?"

She suddenly pulled away from Tellis. Her hands shot up to cover her ears as deafening words echoed jwithin her head. Join us and be granted with unimaginable power or you will have your souls devoured!

She began to shiver, but it was hard for even her to tell whether it was from the coldness of the freezing downpour of rain that had soaked her to the bone--or fear.

"I knew something wasn't right," the old fellow muttered underbreath, ignoring the urge to do the same as Aya in covering his ears.

He got up, walking towards the group at the table, he still kept his distance. He stared over at the two mancers, intent to see what their reactions would be.

Toa saw the rain turn in freezing downpour, heard a monstrous roar, and a voice explode though through his mind causing him to grab his head in pain. Join us and be granted with unimaginable power or you will have your souls devoured!

He looked up to see that Hosh and Aya were the only other people that seemed to be visibly affected then he heard the another roar, the sound of breaking buildings, and heavy footsteps heading their way.

You will die like those before if you do not join us! the cold, feminine voice split through their minds again. Toa stood up from his chair, a furious look on his face and a raging fire in his eyes. He walked out of the building, the rain turning to steam as it came into contact with his robes, and he headed towards the dragon that came into view of the square.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The bone dragon was making as much damage as it could as it headed for the square, mutilating buildings with the swings of its tail and using its giant feet to crush shops setup along the way. It finally came into view, and was about to go in charging when a fireball struck its head, stunning it for a moment before it looked for what had created the ball. It was somewhat surprised to see a steam covered human with two fireballs in its advancing towards it, but quickly recovered and bellowed a challenge as it charged the human.

It was instead met by a pair of flaming claws amd the bellow of a flame dragon as it crashed into the bone one.

At the start of the rain, Takara shifted, pulling Akkan into shelter beneath her cloak. At the roar, she tensed almost invisibly. Her expression remained calm.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Upstairs, Katsuro had been subconsciously skimming the minds of others for anything he could learn about them. He'd been briefly examining Aya when the voice came through. With a startled yelp, Katsuro tumbled out of bed. Scrambling to his feet, he murmured, "Takara..." And then, he was out the door, searching for his mother.

He found her, still sitting quietly at the table, now soaking wet, but hardly seeming to care. With a few muttered words in the Old Language, Katsuro took her hand and led her inside. Akkan whimpered faintly and Takara glanced down to where she still held him.

"Xan," she murmured...

The old fellow smiled as he saw the determination of the pyromancer, who wasn't quite like the common run-of-the-mill pyromancers of today. No, he was reminiscent of the pyromancers of old.

******

Xan had woken up at the roar, but he remained in bed, but when Katsuro ran out, he couldn't just sit by and let the kid do something stupid.

For what amount of sleep Xan had gotten, he had regained much of his stamina. His wounds were healing fairly well, but chances shouldn't be taken.

He hurried around, slipping on his cuirass, he strapped it on as best he could. He retreaved his throwing axes, which were the lightest weapons he had.

He hurried after the boy, following him as best he could, until he found where he was at.

He approached the still and distant Takara.

"Takara, what's going on? Are you okay?" Xan asked, concern in his voice, and on what little you could see of his face.

Kai woke in mid air, the dragon had swatted the buildings he slept in and he was launched a fair distance, he landed hard slamming into a building and groaning faintly as he slid down, he managed to hook his arm onto somethig before finishing his fall to the ground. Shifting about and finding his way to the ground. He checked himself, he had aggravated his pervious injuries, and is chest felt odd. But he seemed okay ... he looked around, trying to figure out what the hell had happened.

Kai spotted the bone dragon heading toward the tavern, and frowned. Looked like work was starting today, he looked around spotting his bag a little ways off he scooped it up and threw it over one shoulder, then began running for the tavern.

Unfortunately for both Toa and his dragon, the moment of surprise did not last. The bone dragon literally shoved the flame dragon off like a twig, which was three times smaller than it was, and retaliated with a lethal swing of its razor-sharp tail. The tail caught the flame dragon straight across the chest, causing both Toa and the flame dragon immense pain, and causing Toa to drop on one knee for a few moments before standing back up.

The flames dragon let loose a torrent of flame at the bone dragon, and had succeeded in bathing it completely when the bone dragon charged into it, completely unmarked. They both grappled, rolling on the ground as they fought for superiority. Well, the bone one actually had the upper-hand being faster, stronger, and larger. The flame dragon tried to take the battle into the air, but was pulled down and fought harder, its pain apparent on Toa's face.

There was a lull in the fighting, and the bone dragon saw its chance as it tried to end the flame dragon with its tail, only to have it dodged and have it slice through Toa's front robes and chest, as he was barely within the reach of the tail. He looked down at the wound curiously and laughed. Then he collapsed, the flame dragon still fighting in his place, but obviously weaker now.

Tellis whipped her head around in the direction of the noise. The sudden downpour, the loud sound, something wasn't right. Turning back to Aya, she said with some urgency, "We'll finish this later. Go get Carwyn's bows, quickly." She released the young merchant, then strode over to where Carwyn and Kyo were standing, the ranger still looking blissfully inebriated, the warrior looking up at the sky with a dark expression on his face.

Pulling a vial from her belt pouch, she took Carwyn's head in her hands and poured a clear liquid down his throat. Resealing the vial, she replaced it in her pouch, then pinched Carwyn's cheeks a few times. "C'mon you drunken git, wake up," she muttered under her breath.

Her clothes heavy from the sudden onslaught of icy rain, Aya nodded at Tellis and then half-ran half-tripped over to the table where everyone had been sitting.

Carwyn's bow and quiver were under the table, stowed there by the ranger when he had sat down. Her hands were very cold and it was a struggle for her to grip the items and drag them out.

She hurried over to where Carwyn, Kyo and Tellis were. To her surprise, Carwyn actually looked a bit more lucid than when she last saw him.

A spark of fire in the sky suddenly caught her eye, and she looked up. Her eyes widened as she saw a fire dragon and...

"A Bone Dragon?" She looked at the quiver and bow, and then at Carwyn. "I don't know how useful these will be, but... here," she said, shoving the items into his hands.

"Takara, what's going on? Are you okay?" Xan asked, concern in his voice, and on what little you could see of his face.

"I..." Takara murmured. At that moment, Akkan whimpered again. Glancing down at the little dog in her arms, Takara frowned, wrinkling her forehead in minor confusion. "I... kept your dog... safe, fed him." She giggled a little. "Wouldn't let him drink."

"But it's fairly obvious you had a little," Katsuro scolded. Glancing up at Xan he explained, "One small gulp is enough to give her a buzz. I think she had a full glass..."

"Two!" Takara interrupted. Katsuro shook his head and shoved his mother gently into Xan's arms.

"Take her back to the room," he instructed. "She'll sleep this off and be back to normal in... a few hours or so."

He ran outside, craning his neck upward to see if he could spot the dragon. When he caught sight of it, he almost seemed to begin a staring match with it as it rose up and began a near-vertical plunge at him. After only a second or two, Katsuro's eyes widened and he dove for cover.

"Where's its mind?" he murmured, scrambling away as the dragon's tail swept through the spot he'd just vacated. "I can't see it!"

Xan stared dumbfounded for a moment at the tipsy Takara, holding his little Akkan in her arms, as he held her in his arms.

He looked down at her, then up at Katsuro, then down, then up again, and he repeated this several more times before he got oriented to what was really going on.

"Take her back to the room," Katsuro instructed. "She'll sleep this off and be back to normal in... a few hours or so." At this the boy ran off, leaving an estranged Xan with the drunk Takara.

"Erm, okay?....Well Takara, let's go take you to bed...then I'll have to follow your son around to make sure he doesn't get himself killed; because I don't think you'd be very happy if you wake up several hours from now to hear your son got mutilated," he commented.

At this, Xan lead Takara up to the room, leading her to the bed, he motioned to it.

"Now you sleep that off, I'll be back...eventually; Akkan will keep you company if you need it," Xan told her. He looked around nervously, not sure if it was even safe in the inn from whatever was threatening the town.

"You sure you'll be okay?" He asked her once more.

Kai rapidly made his way toward the tavern, dodging through half destroyed buildings, and through roads, following the wake of the Dragon. It must be headed toward the tavern, after those that sought the Obake Blade. He grinned as he ran, danger, and interesting danger at that, had already found him in his new journey. Finally he could see the beast, he watched the tail nearly take some kid out, and recognized the boy as the one who had been with Xan at the fight. He shifted his running up a bit and aimed for the kid, grabbing him up before he had a chance to complain.

"Kai thinks you should come with him, Kai think Xan would prefer you safe. Let Kai and this boy find the others, and see what Kai and this boy can do to defeat a dragon." He dodged past the tail again and jumped, richochetting off a bone rib with his feet and launching himself forward, he landed hard and kept running. Dodging through another building and out into the tavern's outdoor area. Spotting Kyo, Akira and the mancer's he aimed for them.

"Kai thinks that perhaps you might need help!" Kai said ot Kyo with a broad grin on his face, turning his one eye upto the dragon as he set the boy down.

"Kai thinks that perhaps you might need help!" Kai said to Kyo with a broad grin on his face, turning his one eye up to the dragon as he set the boy down.

"And Aya thinks that she needs to get out of the warriors' way!" Aya said, overhearing Kai's remarks to Kyo.

Soaked and shivering, she protectively pulled Katsuro close to her as they took shelter under one of the tables nearer to the wall. "Please, Katsuro, let them handle this," she said into his ear as another deafening roar thundered overhead. “The best thing you and I can do now is to stay out of their way. They’re warriors. We’re not. I mean, you’re not yet, ” she added quickly to avoid hurting the boy’s pride. She looked around for their aeromancer, but Hoshiko had disappeared. “And I think it’s about to get very windy,” Aya predicted.

The bone and fire dragons were again engaging one another overhead, but now it was apparent that the fire dragon had been weakened and was losing the battle. Aya suddenly feared for Toa and she peeked out from under the table to search for him in the square. Well, it was only half a square now. The dragons, in their fighting, had knocked a few rather large holes in the surrounding buildings, and what once had been a secluded courtyard behind the inn was now little more than an alcove off the main square.

“Tellis!” she shouted to the healer, then pointed towards where she spotted Toa laying on the cobblestones. “Toa’s injured! Please, help him!”

She heard Renn calling out to his patrons, encouraging any and all of them to head down to the wine cellars, normally the safest place to be in any sort of storm—supernatural or otherwise. But Aya wasn’t too sure if it would protect them against dragons.

“Aw, dragon’s blood!” she cursed out loud. Then she frowned, looked over at the stables, (which were fortunately still intact,) then up at the dragons, and then back at Carwyn, Kai, and Kyo. Dragon’s Blood—it was the essence of a rare flowering plant that grew high up in the mountains, and not only did it have a pleasant scent, (which was why Aya carried it,) but according to ancient legend was one sure way to kill dragons. Aya just happened to have some of it left in her pack, although she wondered if the bone dragon could actually be ‘killed’ as it really didn’t look that alive to begin with.

“Katsuro, I have to get to Bob,” she said determinedly. “They need to put Dragon’s Blood on the tips of their weapons in order to kill that thing and I have some in my pack!”

She watched attentively for a break in the dragon fight so that she could run undetected to the stables to fetch the vial of scent.

Toa found himself in a place completely white, with no apparent boundaries or anything, just endless white floor in all directions. That was with the exception of the white table that was in front of him, with two chairs and a man with a deck of cards.

“What happened? And where am I?” Toa asked the man, as he last remembered looking down at his chest wound and letting out a laugh before collapsing.

The man, who had the look of a million years and was clad in all white, said “Well, you died for all that's worth saying. The tip of the dragon’s tail bone cut through your heart, and now you’re here.”

“And where is here?” Toa asked, almost in disbelief that he had died so soon.

“Here is nowhere and here is everywhere. Here is where we sort out whether you go down below or up above. Normally, I would just handle the work that needed to be done to send off souls to the Heavens or the Underworld. The Angel of Death would be the one who actually sent the souls off. Thanks to the higher-ups and Pyro however, I have to clear my busy schedule for you.” The man obviously sounded irritated at this, but Toa had no idea what he was talking about, and was about to ask when the man continued on.

“The high ones are not pleased with your sudden and unexpected death; they had not known about the dragon, and they certainly thought that you would have been able to keep out of the way of a rouge tail. However, I can’t just send whoever they want back to the land of the living just because it’s convenient for their plans, which is where this game comes in: if you win, you can go back and try to defeat the dragon, and if you get killed again, you’re done. If you lose, then you’re just done. I’m Jack by the way,” Jack said holding out his hand for a shake.

Toa took a few moments to process this information in his brain before realizing that Jack was holding out his hand. Toa shook it and said “Jack? That’s a strange name.”

“Toa Firespitter. Not to be of offense to you, but that sounds like Toe Badbreath.” Jack said laughing in an average old man’s voice as he sat down and shuffled the deck of cards.

Toa let out a nervous laugh, and then sat down asking “So what about my friends? And what are we playing?”

“That all depends on how fast you are at beating me at The Skeleton Game. Oh, also how long your dragon can last on your soul force.” Jack replied, his body becoming a sadistic-looking skeletal creature and the world going black. He also pointed at Toa, whose body was disappearing ever-so-slowly.

((Sorry, guys. Things've been a bit hectic lately and I haven't had a whole ton of time to post.))

"Toa!" Kyo shouted as he saw the pyromacer collapse. In a flash, he was moving. He ran across the courtyard and vaulted over the small fence, running into the square. He knelt next to the pyromacer for only a moment, touching two fingers to the pulse at his neck, his frown deepening. The beat was there, but it was steadily fading. Glancing up at the fighting dragons, he could see that his dragon construct wasn't faring much better - it seemed to be disappearing by the second.

Swearing a low oath under his breath, Kyo unsheathed his sword, standing again as he cast about for something to do to help.

There were a few boxes stacked in an alley that, at the top, were almost level with the roof of a building. Perhaps if the bone dragon's tail whipped close enough...

He leapt onto the first box, quickly climbing to the roof.

((Wheeee, shortie...kinda..))

Carwyn felt something thrust into his hands, then a sharp, searing pain in his head as the dizziness brought on by the alcohol quickly dissipated. He squinted, then shook his head back and forth to try and rid himself of the pain. A loud, earsplitting roar nearly split his head open, and he raised his hands to his ears, then realized the items in his hands were his bows. Opening his eyes slowly, he gasped as he saw a huge dragon made of bone that seemed to be fighting with Toa's flame dragon. Judging from the frightened reactions of everyone around him, it was obvious that this wasn't part of ths show.

Taking a few small steps to test out his balance, he quickly regained strength in his legs and sped up. One minute he'd been completely drunk off his arse, the next he was fully awake and cognizant and facing a giant bone dragon. He didn't really know how any of that happened, but he'd think about that later, once the threat had been dealt with.

Rushing into the town square, he noticed Tellis pulling an unconscious Toa to the safety of the inn's awning. Kyo was in an alleyway with his sword out, hopping on top of boxes, angling for an advantageous spot from which to fight the dragon. I need a spot of my own, Carwyn told himself as he looked around quickly for one. He spotted a small run-down building with a broken ladder leaning against it. Sprinting to it, he scaled the ladder nimbly, using his long legs to avoid the broken rungs and stepped onto the roof.

Carwyn took his longbow from his shoulder and nocked an arrow into it. Drawing it back, he squinted at the two fighting dragons, trying to find a spot to hit the bone dragon. "Let's see if you can still bleed," he whispered as he chose his target: the joints where the dragon's wings met the rest of its body; there seemed to be tendons and sinews there. With the tip of his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth, he made a few adjustments, then let the arrow fly.

The bone dragon felt something pierce its wing joint, and it spun suddenly to face the human that had shot it. This caught the weak flame dragon by surprise as it got hit with a sharp, bony tail and, because of its punch, sent hurdling into a building. The bone dragon reared its head, the arrow snapping and its damage regenerating, and then let loose a massive blast of dark energy at the human.

The flame dragon was not just lying around though, as it leaped at the bone dragon it was in its lull and caught in it at the beginning of its blast, aiming it elsewhere. Elsewhere, was basically moving the line of the blast along the buildings, in which everything that came into contact with it turned into dust.

"Do you have... a right Femur?" Jack asked, his bony right fingers rattling against the table as he looked at his own cards in his other hand.

"Um..." Toa said looking at the cards in his hands. He had never realized that there were so many bones in his body.

"It's the one the looks like this." Jack said showing Toa the card of a right Femur.

"Ah, nope. Go skull." Toa said grinning.

"Phft, kids these days. What happened to the old days when people knew what their owns bones were?" Jack asked himself as he drew a card from the center deck.

Toa ignored him and asked "Do you have... a skull?"

"It's called a Cranium, and no, I do not have a Cranium. Go skull." Jack replied.

Toa was about to reached for the deck, when he suddenly realized that his right hand was not there anymore. He looked at it horrified, when Jack said "Don't worry, you can still pick up things and such. It's just a marker that you soul is fading away. Which is different from normal death, because when you soul fades away, you really are dead. No existence or anything."

Jack was right; he was still able to pick up cards, but it had left him a bit shaken, knowing that he was slowly fading away.

Jack tried his luck again, hoping that Toa had drawn the right card, although Toa's gaze seemed to be focused on something below. "Do you have... a right Femur"

Toa looked up at him and replied "No, go skull." His face had the look of a man who was sick, and his eyes looked far-off.

"Are you alright kid? You don't look too good. Well, besides the fact that you're slowly disappearing." Jack said a bit worried. When Toa motioned down, Jack saw why. They were looking at a sea of demons, monsters, and all manners of abominations clawing at them futility, their screams and roars enough to scar any human. Jack was already used to it. A young, fire-lit Pyromacer had no way to prepare for it, and probably would have never noticed it had he not exposed himself to a moment of fear from seeing his soul fade.

Jack stood up, violently knocking his chair back and he yelled in the ancient language at them, a scythe suddenly appearing in his right hand and they gradually dissipated until there were none left in the darkness. When he sat back down, he said "I'm sorry you had to see that."

When Toa didn't reply, he said "Your turn kid. Your soul's not going to last forever."

Toa responded with rubbing his eyes with the still visible hand of his body and then asked "Do you have a left Femur?"

Jack smiled... sort of smiled with his bony face and said "What do you know? You got me. Here is your card and then you get to go again." Jack had to force the card into Toa's hand.
