Darth InSidious
Being only just forever-29 (having just stepped beyond the precipice of being actually 29 ), I think I would *lose* to Jae, personally. Why? Because I have absolutely no reflexes. And I'm guessing none of you others do, given the mass preference for KotOR over twitch-games here
Vaelastraz
I once posted a test your reflexes thread here in ahto and suprisingly, everyone who tried it did very good. Not what you would expect. Finger click reflexes are not really compareable to dodge & parry reflexes though...
Jae Onasi
my master has won internat'l championships. I bet he pwms your master, and his master too. mtfbwya I don't know if my master has gone to worlds or not. I know he's gone to S. Korea a couple times, but that was before I started there. I know he's refereed at worlds. His master was an old Korean who had emigrated to America, and I think had trained with one of the early founders of Jido Kwan. Those guys are some serious tough fighters. They could make it to 85 or 90 and I still wouldn't want to get in the ring with them.

Why? Because I have absolutely no reflexes. And I'm guessing none of you others do, given the mass preference for KotOR over twitch-games here My class in biology in high school actually did a study of who had quicker reflexes males or females. We did two different classes and the results were the same: females tend to be quicker than males. It probably is compensation for the fact that we don't have the same strength capacity as males. So if ED thinks he can win, I seriously doubt it. Jae has speed on her side even if she is forever 29.
Jae Onasi
Oh, I don't doubt Emperor Devon can run faster than me. At my weight and bad knee status, snails probably run faster than me. Now, doing a snap kick faster than me, much less with any power if he's never had any martial arts is another story.
JediMaster12
Exactly Directrice. I still think it is confidence issues for ED thoughbut let's not explore our feelings on this. I am an anthropologist, not a psychologist. *still waiting for ED to make good on his word*

Also (DI suddenly grows handlebar moustache at great speed), why is Devon attacking a lady? It's damned indecent! (The moustache retracts) Seriously, in a fight, ED's amateurish attempts to swing at Jae would easily be out-matched by discipline, training, the aforementioned reflexes... Aurora Starfire
Personally, I take Moon Moo Do....... not sure if anyone's heard of it, but I take at the International Moon Moo Do Federation headquarters. Here's a link if anyone's curious: http://www.moonmoodo.com/index.htm But my money's down on Jae. My Grand Master is probably at least in his fifties, but he could take out anybody...... experience will always win in the end......
machievelli
Assuming equal levels of training, and no compuctions about injuring the other person, a large man will usually beat a small man, and a younger man will beat an older one. I mentioned the qualifiers above because a woman willing to do serious injury will hurt theman no matter how large he is if he is unwilling to hit a woman, or limits he response because of that. To quote from Futurama Shatner 'There's no right way to hit a girl' Leyla: Then hit me the wrong way. However, you also deal with the differences in style. Peter O'Donnel in the Modesty Blaise Series pointed out that a competition fencer will lose to someone who has had to fight for their life because there are rules about what you can and cannot do in a match, but none when life is the prize. Or as I said, quoting Roland Green from the Peaceforcer novels it's like a professional boxer against a street fighter. The boxer will win the match with one punch if he connects, but lose if the street fighter can make sure he doesn't have a valid target.
Emperor Devon
@ED--if you'd had any kind of martial arts, I suspect you would have mentioned it by now. Heh, you know now. I've won, er, thirty-eight international tournaments. In a row. While blindfolded. Keep dreaming, ED. Your strategy's got so many holes in it, it's not even funny. How so? I run, she gets tired, I beat her up. You're lucky you two are so friendly with each other, because if you weren't, I'd imagine she'd thrash the bejeezus out of you. She lives in Wisconsin, I live in Washington. And I'm guessing none of you others do, given the mass preference for KotOR over twitch-games here I prefer dice combat, though I absolutely love some twitch games. The main problem is how they don't have stories as good as those found in RPGs. Oh, I don't doubt Emperor Devon can run faster than me. At my weight and bad knee status, snails probably run faster than me. And with how I'm underweight and far younger, you're probably right. Also (DI suddenly grows handlebar moustache at great speed), why is Devon attacking a lady? It's damned indecent! (The moustache retracts)
