Rogue15 Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Hey I just purchased Empire at War, was on a 2+ year long break from strategy games, but I LOVED galactic battlegrounds, rebellion, and force commander. So hopefully this will be just as good as all them combined. I'm installing it right now....anyways my name on xfire is Kioet so if anybody wants a match first pm me on here (since i have usercp as my homepage i see it right away most of the time) or contact me via AIM or MSN Messenger.
Jo Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I've never liked any RTS games, but i loved Empire at War. It was probably one of the best i've played. I wish i had high speed so that i could play over the net
Rogue15 Posted February 8, 2007 Author Posted February 8, 2007 yeah i just started the tutorials and OMG the space battles......i did not think they would be THIS cool.
Jo Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 been a while since i played but hit up http://empireatwar.filefront.com/ get yourself a ship scale mod. it makes it like SOOO much better IMO.
darthcarth Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Yeah eaw is pretty fun i got it 5-6 days afer release although after i played it for 6 months it got realy boring even with mods. Well i also play battlefield 1942, battlefield veitnam, home world 2 with warlords mod on, jedi academy off and on,civ 4 with out expasion pack, empire earth 2 with out expasion pack.
HerbieZ Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I disagree with darthcarth. It is the only game i have palyed in a long time which is actually fun no matter when i go to play it.
TSR Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 PC games... Call of Duty 2... Gaslaxies.. Oh yeah, Diablo II + Expansion
Rogue15 Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 I just downloaded America's Army, and omg how much it has improved since I played it over a year ago. My computer handles it perfect with the extra 512mb ram...
Guest DarthMaulUK Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I downloaded the C&C3 demo. What rubbish! Apart from that, EaW, dawn of war and now galaxies... urgh

It's not rubbish compared to the ****ty Generals-series. C&C3 has proven that EA can clear up their act and make a C&C game that honors the older ones in a good fashion. I love that they brought back live-action cut scenes and a UI similar to the one in the first C&C.
Rogue15 Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 I used to play Command & Conquer and Red Alert all the time. I liked the map maker in Red Alert...didn't get into the other C&C games however. I tried Tiberium Sun, but it just was not the same.

Guest DarthMaulUK Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 No offence Phoenix, improving on generals wasnt going to be difficult. For all its hype, this is basically Red Alert 2 in in drag. Theres nothing revolutionary about it and the AI sucks! EA have ruined the licence and by taking the game right back to basics just to generate interest and win back the old community. Considering how far RTS games have come in 10 years, this is like going back in time. DMUK
Rogue15 Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 I just downloaded Enemy Territory, I let my friend have my LotrO beta, as his computer could handle the max graphics and all, and I didn't wanna spend all my time on it...trying to refrain from mmorpgs, they're too damn addicting.

Don't worry, you will not be addicted to Lotro... cause for all intent and purposes, most all reports about it suggests it being a crappy game.
Rogue15 Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 yeah, well that didn't stop me from playing galaxies for over a year now, did it.
Sehtii Hathor Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I play...well look at my xfire lol My main other than SWG is JKA im a clan leader for USO, which should be coming into SWG soon =P
Rogue15 Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 holy ****....well i remember i used to play that much on galaxies. i sort of miss it, but then whenever i played it i was bored and would end up logging out of anger.
Rogue15 Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Well, i reinstalled Half Life 2 to check it on the extra 512 ram (last played it on only 512mb ram, upgraded ram specifically for galaxies) and holy crap with 1 gb...the graphics and ai are soooooo damn amazing!!! i can't believe what i missed out on...it runs very smooth, the weapons and effects are brilliant as well!
Rogue15 Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 kinda playing Morrowind...on the computer. I used to play it all the time on xbox, but the loading times got far too ridiculous.
