logan essex
seems like modding has really slowed down on a most of my favorite games. what are you all playing that is being modded a lot recently?
Boba Rhett
Hmmm, Oblivion and Half Life 2 seem to still have heavy modding going on. I've recently been catching up on all the modding that's been done for Jedi Knight in the past few years. Crazy awesome stuff has been pushed out of that engine. Crazy awesome stuff has been pushed out of that engine. most stuff for the jedi knight games lately has been multiplayer stuff however, knights of the force is supposed to be released next month! i've been waiting for years! also, 'dark forces II enhanced' was just released. HerbieZ
I've recently got into Operation Flashpoint again after playing the "Arma" (sequel to Op Flash) demo which officially sucked as it was a carbon copy of Flashpoint. I've been messing around with a few Stargate mods for Flashpoint and just installed an A-Wing! The map editor is ace as well. I produced a fleet of 50 bicycles heading down a road called Tour de France that gets bombed by two A-10's with LGB's. Bicycles fly with suitable force ^_^. Good times. What kind of Oblivion modding ? you don;t really need it becasue on the 360 version i know how to get infinite money...not sure if its the same for PC though. I bet it is. Boba Rhett
I don't mean simplistic mods to give you unlimited money, we're talking gameplay changing mods and total conversions.
SpaceAlex
Oblivion modding community is just crazy. There are mods out there that completley change the game (for the better most of the time), graphically (combine some high-quality graphic mods together, and you get a game that's 50% better looking than stock) and gameplay wise (loot mods, level scaling mods, combat improvement mods...). Boba Rhett
Indeed. Oblivion is barely playable without the OOO mod now.
Sabretooth
Well, the modding never stops for UT2004 and while things have slowed down, I do take a look at AoE2 mods now and then. Then there's good ol' Jedi Academy and Half-Life 2 which is really good. And finally there's Civilization IV, which isn't "heavily modded" but yeah, the community's rich. Arátoeldar
For me it would have to be KotOR and TSL. The mods I am most looking forward to are: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II for JKA http://shamusworld.gotdns.org/df2mod/ Dark Forces for JKA http://darkforces.jediknight.net/index2.shtml Shadows of the Empire for JKA http://www.jedispy.com/sote/gameplay.html TSLRP and one I'd love to see get back on track. http://mods.moddb.com/6879/mysteries-of-the-sith-jka-modification/
HerbieZ
Indeed. Oblivion is barely playable without the OOO mod now. That and Martigens Monster Mod have made me scared of Oblivion. Two of the most impressive mods i have ever played.

stingerhs
well, honestly, there's not much going on in the modding front with most of my games. Half-Life 2 and Oblivion are exceptions, of course. speaking of Oblivion, is there a version of OOO that's compatible with the KotN expansion?? Prime
X-Wing Alliance with xwaupgrade and darksaber's and others' craft mods. Also some of the others mentioned above.
Allronix
Sims 2. I've got a DCU Watchtower neighborhood, but I'm still waiting for someone to do a good wheelchair mod so I can have a proper Oracle. Pirates: Live the Life - not heavily modded, but there are a few tweaks I've loaded. One adds blood to the sword hits. Another speeds up the sailing time (and the calendar) so you aren't sitting through long stretches of nothing from the Yucatan to Havana. Another takes out the items that don't do you any good. Black and White 2 - I've figured out how to adjust the files that control resources, so I can make the game harder (same buildings cost more wood, people eat more grain), or easier (less grain or wood). Would love mods regarding the Creature, though. I never seem to know what to do with it, as I'm so "hands on" with the village.
Samuel Dravis
Homeworld2's mods are beautiful. Try the Point Defense Mod for it. Awesome++
lord ignarn
Also both NWN 1 and 2 have lots of mods, in never winter nights vault there are tons of them. As well as the sims 1 (just an oldie, but it still rocks).
