I'm still missing ... ummm....neural shock and AI hacking (but am working on a tech playthrough right now...) ... and Stasis...cuz I hate that power...man, i hate waitin' til it wears off before you can kill stuff. *pouts*
Yeah, that was the last one I got, too. Stasis I mean. Utterly useless.

And AI hacking was one of the better powers IMO. A lot of fun. Only problem withit being that you can't control your squad, so they are liable to fire at dominated enemies anyway...

So how many of you have got all the achievements so far?

Missing only the "Turian Ally" and the "Quarian Ally" achievements.

PS:As with everyone, Stasis was the pain on the ass.

The next MassEffect needs a larger metropolic setting. Don't get me wrong' date=' the Citadel was absolutely awesome. But, now I hunger for more.[/quote']

Hmm, I can understand that. But I would take a smaller megalopolis in exchange for many other smaller cities (on different planets) any day.

Got so irritated on my last playthourgh, from the beginning of the game i had Ashley with me, and when i got to citadell station i only did the main quest that do so you get out of there and went to pick Liara up. After that i only had them in the party. But i still didn't get the achivement for either of those two

Did you do all side quest? Because the Acivment require that you finish 75% of the game both main and side quest with these squad members i think.

Could be that then, i was playing on Insane so i skipped many sidequests but still did some. I was wondering, could it depend on that i played with a charatcher i already finshed the game with ? That it cause some kind of problem that you use a pre-existing one ?

The different characters do help but if you are a really good player, you don't really need to constantly take wrex with you everywhere you go. Like the manual says, it's all about strengths and weaknesses. I managed to figure all that out and can now breeze through as an engineer on insanity easily. :D

No, that is not the problem. Like sekan wrote, you have to complete 75% of the game with that NPC. It is not that big of a problem except when dealing with Asari Ally Achivement.

I've always tried to have a balance squad, but in this play through I’m going with a new Engineer, Garrus and Tali. We are a Geth killing machine.

Added: Playing as Renegade now and have already found a new favorite line, “How permanent of a solution are you looking for.”

Manual? I don't need no stinking manual.

I like to use different combinations depending on what we're facing. Until my accuracy gets up, I bring a killing team. Until my tech skills improve, you may see Kaidan, Tali or Garrus with me. I try to bring a biotic along as well, if I can.

I never realized how powerful Liara could get until my last playthrough where I used her alot more. Nowadays, I like to send in my squad and sit back and sniper stragglers. Once I get about 2/3rds done, I usually can just wear light armor.

Hmm, I can understand that. But I would take a smaller megalopolis in exchange for many other smaller cities (on different planets) any day.

I have to agree.

Unlike the stoic Elcor, I’m rather excited. I finally got to 1000 achievement score. Only the second time I’ve ever gotten all the achievements for a game, the other being the 1250 score I’ve gotten with Oblivion. Now I have meet perfection, well at least until March 10 when the first downloadable content is available.

Renegade was a complete blast. Don’t know if I’ll go with a compete Renegade again, but I might flirt with that side a bit more.

Is it me or does it seem like you acquire more and acquire better equipment right away when you go Renegade?[/Quote] Yes!! By the end of the game my entire party had Colossus X armor except for Kaidan, and he doesn’t matter since I don’t allow him to leave the ship.

I also noticed Renegade takes less time to complete the same amount of quests, not a surprise since I let my shotgun do most of the talking. The Renegade side quest was way more enjoyable than the Paragon.

Gleefully, I would say that Mass Effect is the best RPG of the 21st Century, to date.

That is a bold and debatable statement, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're wrong.

It's definately game of the year and by far the best game I've played in quite a while. It's addiction level and re-play value are extremely high.

However, There are things that could have better, or perhaps will be in the next two installments.

As far as RPG's go, the way you level up in a game is what gives it it's distinct character. Bioware obviously pays great attention to this.

The leveling-up system in KotOR (IMO) is a bit better. When leveling in KotOR, you seem to have more control of the development of all of your character's attributes. This is especially the case in Jade Empire.

I will say this about Bioware's RPG's.

I like the way they consistently use the morality coin for us to flip and experiment with, letting our conversations and actions determine our character's moral stance.

I’m more impressed that Mass Effect actually meets Corinthian’s definition of an RPG. ;) I’ve played games with better stories, better game play…, but for the total package Mass Effect would have my vote for best RPG, or game for that matter, of the 21st Century to date.

Adamantly, the Elcor are not stoic. Merely incapable of expressing emotion.

They do express emotion, but it's all very subtle for a human to perceive. Body language and pheromones do what their speech is incapable of.

According to the Codex "... Elcor emotions make a human smile seems as subtle as a fireworks display."

I wonder if that makes them suitable for conducting a interrogatory...

Mass Effect, without a doubt, would be my pick as the "best RPG of the 21st". And hey, don't get my wrong, Knights of the Old Republic was fantastic and is second in my eyes, but Mass Effect just seems to have it all, I think.

And boy does it feel good to be playing Mass Effect and my Xbox 360 again. I didn't really play ANY video games during most of February. And right now I'm just ripping through my first playthrough and I'm closing to finishing it up.

Ok, I'll bite. What's a

western RPG...
How is that different than, say a Southern RPG? Or are you referring to hemispheres?

So far almost everything Bioware makes is a masterpiece.

21st century, huh? I donno. I think I was still locked deeper into KotOR more when it first dropped. For me the story was better. Graphically, of course MassEffect, hands down.

Maybe it's a lightsaber thing.

I think what sets aside Mass Effect for me is the fact the people who made it did an incredible amount of backstory to the game, the presentation of which did not force the player into learning it unless they wanted to. That's why i have so much respect for it as a currently stand alone rpg. I'll take it anyday over permanantly spikey haired characters with colossal eyes and oddly oversized swords.

^ You're not referring to DMC 4 are you? Because if you are..... :p

Its one of the best RPG's around, along with Lost Odyssey IMO (Although Odyssey's story was a little plain but still good) it's too early to be judged BEST RPG or RPG of the 21st century, there are still some that haven't come out yet, maybe Mass Effect 2 would beat the original
