IF you have to reformat...unless you put something bad on there, it shouldn't do it again...I mean, the only reason it's "less stable" than other OS's is simply because all of the crap we put on it...and we don't put as much crap on Linux or OSX because not as many things work on there... I'll grant you that it's more stable but I'd rather have an OS that doesn't sap most of my system's resources and crashes once a year (maybe) than one that is designed to use up all of my system resources.
