Prime
So this could be a Lucas guided star wars project with different dialog writers? Colour me excited!
Sabretooth
along with brand-new heroes like Anakin's padawan learner, Ahsoka. Anakin's padawan learner?! No really, WTF?
Balderdash
So is this gonna retcon all the clone wars EU stuff that's already been written/released etc?
TKA-001
If the togruta dies at some point, and is Anikins padawan, I think it will reinforce my notion that Lucas is a misogynist... <,< I say she freakin' better freakin' die. Preferably before she mucks up too much canon that already exists any more than has already been done. Anakin's a Knight, and knights don't train apprentices. The very least they can do is kill her off in Order 66 (if it goes that far). Personally, I'd prefer them to reduce any Jedi to minor supporting characters. Have something about the clones for once (but without overdoing it ala Karen Travesty).

But Anakin doesn't seem the mentor type to me, esp. not when thinking of Episode III, where he's acting like an impatient Padawan who can't control his emotions. TKA-001
That's a bit of an exaggeration, but I agree Anakin isn't a mentor person.
adamqd
So is this gonna retcon all the clone wars EU stuff that's already been written/released etc? From what I can tell it is set after he has been knighted, so it may retcon some parts of the second series of the old animated Clone Wars cartoon. if you check the latest video on StarWars.com Dave Filoni mentions that the whole series is set over a very short period of time, so hopefully not too much EU will be effected. secondly, I dont see a problem with Anakin taking a Padawan, no one seems to have a problem with Vader taking an apprentice in between III-IV (Who happens to also have as much potential as the Emperor...) Astrotoy7
me likey very much I dont get peoples problems with the way the characters look ... I used to think the original CW series 'looked dumb', until I watched it - with battles, the saberism, the characters - you quickly got over your hangups over the 'samurai jack look' it will be exactly the same with this series, but this will look soooo much better mtfbwya
Negative Sun
I wasn't a big fan of the first Clone Wars animated shorts that came out. Too cartoonish for my tastes. Eh? The story and animation are both awesome, and so is the voice acting, the style is very much like other stuff CN does, but it still pwns, I'd rather that than the 3D animated style IMO...If they can give it a TMNT feel to it then it might pwn... Ctrl Alt Del
Who said that SW movies died? Eh? Yep, it was Tartaskovsky, it was Dexter, it was Powerpuff Girls, it was fun...
lukeiamyourdad
No, you're not. But they've gotta have the lady Jedi showing some skin, right? Those traditional Jedi robes just don't do justice to their sultry figures. Clothing is overrated. Nudity is way better. I suppose you can't make everyone happy, some fan somewhere will scream that it doesn't fit canon. As for me...this is great One thing I do hope Lucas explores after he's done with this is the Civil War Era. A return to old roots. Of course, it might not involve Jedi (or maybe it could...) and it'll piss off some EU fans (eh, never happy anyway...) but it would certainly be interesting. Not that the Clone Wars Era isn't fun mind you, but having back story about the freedom fighters of the Rebel Alliance would be fun.
Web Rider
oh right, i remember hearing about this. I never liked the style used in "The Clone Wars, animated series", and I certainly don't like it anymore in 3D. I think it shows a great lack in ability 3D can do so much more. Prime
me likey very much I dont get peoples problems with the way the characters look ... I think they look great, personally. They have subtle hints that reflect the look of the original CW series. I used to think the original CW series 'looked dumb', until I watched it - with battles, the saberism, the characters - you quickly got over your hangups over the 'samurai jack look'I loved the original look because it looked like Samurai Jack, which I so dearly enjoy. So anything that looks cartoonish and in 3D shows a lack of ability? Pixar anyone? I understand that you don't like the style, but it's not a lack of anything, it's a design decision. igyman
Nope. It lacks seriousness. It makes the movie look like it was made simply to get little kids hooked on Star Wars. (I will see it anyway, because I already like Star Wars )

It was the one episode with Mace Windu taking on all those droids and that sonic tank or whatever it was that really turned me off to the whole thing. IMHO way over the top. Clothing is overrated. Nudity is way better. But what if the female Jedi wore the traditional robes with nothing underneath. Don't you want to leave a little to your imagination? How does it mean that it lacks seriousness? I thought the western world was beyond the idea that animation=children. I guess I was wrong. Do keep in mind that igyman resides in the eastern hemisphere so technically speaking igyman isn't a part of the "western" world.
