"Now this is how its going to work, you are all going to drop your weapons or this pretty little twi'lek never sees the sun rise again."

Vynn had to supress a laugh. "You know, that has to be the oldest trick in the book." He laughed again. "In fact, I'd have to say, it predates the book. However, you can do what you like to her, I don't even know who she is!"

With his part said, he drew out his lightsaber and flicked it on. "Now," he said calmly, "if you'd like a real challenge instead of the coward's way out of Hostages..." He left the rest of his sentence unsaid.

Instead, he lashed out with both his lightsaber and the force, switching off the Sith's lightsaber and bringing his down though it.

----

Thryyn walked out of the woods, oblivious to his companions' muttered curses. Let's see... four people in black Sith Armor (Commandos?) and a Sith Lady... Drawing up his blaster rifle, he flicked a handy switch that overloaded the battery before throwing it away from him and hoping that it wouldn't blow up in mid-air and shower the party with shrapnel.

Drawing out his sniper rifle -and noticing that he was almost out of ammo- he hit a switch to lower the muzzle velocity of the bullets he fired before lining up a shot on the first Sith...

He took the excess slack off the trigger and waited....

----

Vynn saw the blaster rifle and took a quick guess. Without showing any signs that he was doing something, he grabbed the rifle with the force and brought it close to the party, praying that the Sith Lady in front of him wouldn't notice it...

((Well, of course they're guiding us by our noses... but we know that and the best way to foil a trap is to spring it!))

"You'll see your friends again, I promise."

Shara nodded at Kevak, "No need to worry." She smiled, "We've gotten out of worse scrapes."

------

"Now this is how its going to work, you are all going to drop your weapons or this pretty little twi'lek never sees the sun rise again."

Ardana let out a cry, she wasn't expecting this, she stayed still, with the lightsaber humming, letting off heat next to her throat.

Erik backed away, dropping his most obvious weapon, his blaster, but not any of his hidden weapons.

-----

Shara sprinted out of the woods, right behind Kevak. Stifling a shout of dismay as she saw the event unfold she forced herself to remain hidden in the cover of the brush. "What do we do?" She asked Kevak in a whisper, moving beside him. "I want to take the di'kut who thinks he can mess with my twi'lek." She gave a weak smile.

Bail was in the engine room making his final installations, it appeared to be working, but he couldn't really tell until they were in the air. In all the sudden he felt some people nearby. He never was good at the sensing part, and didn't know who it was, but he guessed that it was Kevak and the others who had returned. He was about to join where the group was, but found Evelyn in a bit of a hiding position, wit her lightsaber in her hand.

"What's going on?" he whispered.

((First, my appologizes. I didn't intend to be off for so long from this, is kinda busy right now, and you went so fast forward and I wasn't part of those parties hunting Sith. So I never had the time to read it all, but now I have, a bit fast perhaps (after a PM from ForeverNight, I realized I'd try to come back.). So I hope what I just wrote is at least a little suiting for the story, got a bit lost with all information. And again, I'm sorry!))

"What do we do?" She asked Kevak in a whisper, moving beside him. "I want to take the di'kut who thinks he can mess with my twi'lek." She gave a weak smile.

Kevak saw right through the smile, he could feel the fear inside her.

--------------------------------------------------

Quin looked over at the male Jedi and watched as he tried doing something with the force, she could sense it. She began to concentrate on moving the blaster rifle away.

------------------------------------------------

Kevak looked over at Quin and noticed one of her eyes was closed which meant she was only half concentrating on keeping Ardana in that hold. Kevak then looked over at Shara.

"Watch and learn," he said quietly as he turned himself invisible.

Kevak quickly tapped into the force to contact Bail.

"Mr. Bail I'm going to need you to force pull Ardana the twi'lek over to you on my cue and trust me you'll know when that is."

Kevak moved onto the Blade Glider and pulled out his vibrosword. He jumped at the wall and began slashing at high speeds. He jumped from wall to wall, the ceiling to the floor creating slashing, screeching sounds from the sword.

Quin was startled by the noise and looked around.

"By the force, what is that!" she yelled.

The commandos looked around the room but could find nothing. Kevak smiled as he created the noise, not only was it annoying but it was messing with her ability to sense that he was there. Kevak landed behind Quin and activated his lightsaber. He jumped off the wall and propelled himself towards her forcing her to turn and block with her saber.

I hope Bail is a quick one Kevak thought as he pushed against Quin's saber.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Back at the wreckage a Sith soldier was busy with some sandbags and noticed another come over.

"Damn man can you believe this? I am so thankful I was not with this group!" said the soldier to Aeran as he laughed.

((I figured Niftyeye could use a Sith buddy while he's all by himself this time))

"What's going on?"

"Trouble," Evelyn whispered. "Sith boarders just around the corner, they have Ardana hostage."

She could do nothing but wait, for now at least.

---

Zarena skulked towards the ship, still in stealth, keeping low incase Shara or Thryyn decided to play sniper. Look on the bright side, at least we don't have to hunt them down.

She drew her vibroblade and edged ever closer, hoping to catch one of the Sith from behind once she ascended the boarding ramp. Kill them with surprise, that was what she always said. And if I can't catch them off guard by stealth I guess I could always flash them and let one of the snipers handle them...

Shara saw Ardana get pulled from the girl's grasp, and in a fit of rage Shara locked her head under her rifle scope and picked the Lady Sith right off. She hit her target right between the eyes, and the girl was down before she even knew what had hit her.

"Stay dead." Shara snarled from her vantage point, feeling the rage inside. If she and Kevak had gotten here later, maybe Ardana wouldn't be breathing right now. Maybe she would be dead, and Shara couldn't forgive for that, she needed to protect the younger twi'lek and nothing would ever take Ardana from her care.

As she let herself calm down, she realized however, that the shot might not have been the best idea. They might have needed her for interrogation, then she snorted. "There's plenty more." She reminded herself.

((wait a minute, she wasn't someone's official character was she?))

"Stay dead."

Thryyn heard Shara snarl the words out as her rifle roared. Taking that as the cue to start attacking, he dropped one of the black-armored Sith that had been rather slow on their movement cues.

Moving his view to another, he depressed the trigger... and the dirt around the Sith exploded. Violently cursing, he worked the manual action on the rifle and took aim at another, having given up his original target as a lost cause.

---

Vynn cursed as his lightsaber missed the Sith Lady's, he'd been trying to destroy it... but, nothing? He noticed as Kevak came jumping in and attacked the lady, only to watch with morbid fascination as her head was blown off into a bloody mist.

Turning his attention to one of the Sith troopers standing around, the one bracketed by the dirt cloud, he used the Force to power his jump and he landed right in front of the soldier.

Without a word, his simply ran him through with the lightsaber and moved over to the other two, who appeared to be working together... for once.

---

"Dammit!" Thryyn muttered as he noticed the exact same thing Vynn did. "Why, oh why, do the Sith start to grow brains now?"

Firing a shot at one of the soldiers -and missing for the second time that day- he just gave up and broke his already compromised cover, running for the ship as fast as his legs would carry him.

((Nope, just an NPC that Cyborg created.))

(Lol sorry that I keep 'lone wolfing' it, but someone has to stay here and keep an eye on the Sith while you lot walk into a trap ;))

Aeran looked at the soldier, he sounded young, too young perhaps to be apart of an organisation that seeks the destruction of the Republic and Sith alike.

"Yeah, lucky I survived that onslaught, I was knocked unconscious by err.. one of the crates, and woke up to find this."

Aeran decided to probe a bit, learn a bit about the enemy.

"So.. how did you end up in this outfit?"

(I'll just try to go with the flow. Lol!)

William dodged another slash from the True Sith, as he relentlessly continued to rain blows upon William. His opponent snarled angrily as his yellow eyes continued to burn with such hate and loathing as his blows became increasingly stronger.

Seeing that matching strength for strength would lead the two to no where, William began using his mastery of the Makashi style to gracefully redirect the twin blades of the Sith's saberstaff. He also implemented Soresu, as he waited for the opportune moment to strike

It came soon, as the Sith made the mistake of twirling his double-bladed-lightsaber in the air for a single powerful blow. Before he could however, William used his lightsaber and sliced several deep slashed across his opponents chest. Shock, that he had lost was the Sith's final thought, as he slumped over unto the ground.

Deactivating his silver lightsaber, William sighed, "Didn't even need to duel wield, what a shame." After making sure his mask was unscarred, he went to catch up with the group.

"Stay dead."

Zarena watched the bullet pierce the woman's skull with an almost vacant disinterest. That's one problem solved... She clutched her vibroblade and used it to slit the flesh of one the remaining Sith troopers, right across the neck. She fumbled with her belt. As long as she could kill them quickly, she shouldn't lose stealth, and so she moved on to the next one.

---

"Stay dead."

There was a loud crack, and when Evelyn peered around the doorway the woman who had been threatening Ardana was dead. She held her saber out in front of her and advanced on one of the remaining soldiers, a single thrust of her blade piercing their armour and skin without much bother.

Jaq came up behind one of the Sith troops within the ship with his Vibroblade in arms. While the trooper fired his weapon at the crew, Jaq impaled his blade through the back of the Trooper's suit with all his strength.

With that, he pinned the Sith to the wall and placed a booted-footed on his back. Jaq held his blaster rifle with one arm and pointed it behind his head. He pulled the trigger and the bolt managed to blow the Sith's head off. He pulled the sword out. "Dammit... I've got blood on my jacket!" he muttered.

He walked over to Ardana after her little traumatic experience with the disguised Sith Lady. "You alright?" he wondered.

Bail pulled Ardana away, and in no time he saw the Sith falling to the ground.

"Stay dead."

He walked over to Kevak. "How lovely to see everyone again. You were away for some time, did you get anything done, or do we have to stay on this rock much longer? We are being an easy target." He said as he observed the Sith Lady corpse. "Anyway, the ship should be almost at 100%, it's hard to tell 'til we start flying."

"How lovely to see everyone again."

"Right back at 'cha." Shara winked, then focused her attention to Ardana, who as soon as Shara turned around threw herself into her arms. "Hey, hey. Don't... Don't do that now." Shara looked slightly embarassed, but then hugged the twi'lek back. Shara pulled away and looked into Ardana's eyes, wiping a tear from the twi'lek's cheek. "Don't you ever let down your guard like that again. Do you hear me?" Shara said, shaking Ardana's shoulders. "Maybe someday I won't be around to bail you out- then what?" She glanced over at Erik, "And how could you almost let her get killed like that?"

Shara threw up her hands, and stormed off to the engines, "Lemme take a look- whatever's wrong... Someone needs to finish the job. Somebody needs to get us off this god forsaken planet." She muttered some inaudable words and Erik watched her stalk off. "Some welcome." He mumbled, "Good to see you too." He said, with a frown.

Kevak continued pushing on Quin's lightsaber as he watched Bail move Ardana out of harm's way. He looked passed Quin's shoulder and noticed Shara taking aim. Though he considered it a slight dishonor, Quin had done the same so he deemed it okay. The shot rang it and hit Quin right in the back of the head; she dropped to the ground instantly. The Commandos were soon defeated as well.

"How lovely to see everyone again. You were away for some time, did you get anything done, or do we have to stay on this rock much longer? We are being an easy target." He said as he observed the Sith Lady corpse. "Anyway, the ship should be almost at 100%, it's hard to tell 'til we start flying."

"Fear not Bail for I have a feeling they will not strike now." Kevak said as he walked away from Quin's body. "Nice use of the force back there." Kevak watched as Shara scolded Erik and stormed off.

"Good to see you too."

"Next time think before you act!" Kevak laughed as he followed after Shara. Kevak quickened his pace and eventually caught up to her.

"An excellent move back there. Even when you group was faced with danger you stayed strong, like a good leader should. That's the key to surviving, Strength. Not always physical strength but mental and emotional strength.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So.. how did you end up in this outfit?"

"This thing, I hate this outfit I liked the old ones better. Back when sith lords like Sion were in charge, those were the good times. My old uniform meant something; that I had survived training from Scar. That guy was bad to the bone and beat us all without reason. I'm thankful that Drexel guy finally killed him, no offense if you liked the guy."

Jaq placed his blaster into the holster clipped to his back, and looked around room filled with dead bodies. "Ugh... osik" Jaq swore. "Better take care of these bodies." he said gruffly.

He pulled two of the dead Sith Commando's from the floor and dragged them down the ramp exiting the ship. He piled the two bodies and re-entered the ship. "Whos gonna take care of the Sith chakaar? Eh, never mind... I'll do it!" He grabbed hold of the Sith Woman's arm and dragged her too out of the ship.

"Yeah.. me too, I dont really remember a scar but we were probably trained on different worlds." Aeran replied.

He was starting to like this guy, which was bad because he was the enemy, but the soldier went through the same process as Aeran, same trainer, same planet, same Regiment, he even knew that Aeran killed a Sith Lord.

'Great, I have a reputation with some old grunts' Aeran thought to himself with mild amusement.

Aeran finished setting up the shield, helped by the soldier, for a minute he felt completly relaxed like he was just another soldier but then suddenly shoke his head and woke up, he was a spy, and soon he would have to see them all die, soldiers like him. Sith Soldiers. True Sith.

"An excellent move back there. Even when you group was faced with danger you stayed strong, like a good leader should. That's the key to surviving, Strength. Not always physical strength but mental and emotional strength.["]

Thryyn heard the words carry and realized that he'd spaced out, majorly. Shaking his head to clear any dust that could've accumulated, her watched with some amusement as Shara started chewing out... Eric? What was his name? He was the quiet one.

Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Bail talking with Kevak and Graff cleaning his robes off. He folded up his rifle and found Jaq, clearing the bodies. Without a word he just started helping the Mandalorian clear the bodies, sometimes setting up sandbags -or in this case clearing bodies- just helped the mind clear itself.

---

Vynn looked around, evidently he'd been standing in the same place for a long time... He shook his head to clear away the drowsiness... he still felt... slow? Almost like he'd been drugged. He quickly figured out that nobody wanted to talk to him, not that he blamed them he'd evidently slept through something important.

So, he turned and walked over to the Blade Glider and made his way over to the medical area on the ship. He found one of the drug tests and quickly plunged the needle inside of him and watched the datapad for a read out of whatever the hell was in his system...

((Wow, I send all those PM's reminding people about this, and then I just don't have time to post... Isn't life just funny that way?))

Shara who had been glancing the hyperdrive over stopped, and turned around to Kevak. She raised an eyebrow, and a look of confusion flashed across your face.

She shook her head, "Thanks. I'm sorry, you just..." She stopped, "No it's stupid. What's wrong with the engine anyway Kevak?" She asked slowly, as if still deep in thought.

"There's nothing wrong with the engine, however there is something that's wrong with you and I doubt its stupid. You can tell me Shara, I won't laugh."

Kevak waited for an answer but was confused why he was there. Why was he so concerned with Shara as if she were his apprentice?

----------------------------------------------------------------

"Yeah.. me too, I dont really remember a scar but we were probably trained on different worlds."

"Oh you're a lucky one, you must have had Kevak Phobos teach you then. Its always good to see a fellow vet here, and let me tell you you're the only one I've seen. Most of these guys are new and haven't been through the same thing you and I have."

The soldier began to check his sniper and his side arm.

"Unlike most people I can appreciate and understand what Drexel did. You wouldn't believe it but I fell for a girl over on the Republic side and well you can guess how that ended up. Why am I telling you all this when I know you really don't care, I guess its because I'm just a lonely sad excuse for a man with some mutinous thoughts.

(Lol at Cyborg, bragging his character as an NPC :o)

"Ended up with a Republic girl.... what you fancied a prisoner of war or something?"

"I dont get bored easily, there are many different types of soldiers, some fighting for valor, some duty, some for their families, or some because they think they are making a difference, depends on your point of view, but at the end of the day, its a job."

"Oi! You two stop having a mother's meeting!" The Sergeant suddenly shouted at them both.

"There's nothing wrong with the engine, however there is something that's wrong with you and I doubt its stupid. You can tell me Shara, I won't laugh."

"You just... Reminded me of someone I used to know long ago." She paused and took a breath, "After my father left for the Wars, my mother stopped allowing me to learn the Mandalorian Code. I knew enough, I could read and speak the language. My father had taught me. I knew how to act, honour and all that. My mother wouldn't have any of the sword training and everything in that vein." Shara sighed, "She expected me to become a lady... And I was, I was in the way my father had taught me a Mandalorian woman was to act. But that wasn't how she wanted. So I ran away. I never loved my mother, she didn't really love my father or me."

"I ended up lost and alone in a place I had never been before, Nar'Shadaa. It was different there, smells, sights, everything was different. I knew how to fight but I didn't know how to survive, not on the streets. Not in the way I was going to need to. I spent the night in an alleyway, because I didn't have any credits left, not after the ticket I had bought. I met a man, he took me in... Taught me to survive." Shara stopped,

"You reminded me of him. That's all. We don't have time for my life story, or foolish memories. He's dead. At least the man I knew is dead- I don't know where he went. All I know is that I wouldn't be where I am today without him."

She set to work, busying her hands with a hydrospanner, glancing around seeing if there really were any repairs that were needed on the engine. She wasn't even really sure what was wrong with the ship anyway, but she didn't want to look Kevak in the eyes.

"Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la"

Kevak watched as she began working on the engines.

"It is odd though, I would have done the same thing. If you don't mind me asking exactly what did this man look like and how do I remind you of him?"

It was a little stubborn to ask but now Kevak was slightly curious.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The sith soldier just nodded.

"Oi! You two stop having a mother's meeting!"

"That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. I'm a vet but this guy isn't yet he's still in charge of me. The only reason that is is because of me and that girl from the Republic. Say would you be upset if the sergeant accidentally was shot during a quick training exercise?"

"I hear what you're saying man, by the way my name is Taven."

Vynn shuddered as he looked at the datapad readout. Everything on it was normal... well, normal enough for him, until he got to the last line. .079% Asdi

The line simply ended, no need for it to continue however. Almost every sentient in the galaxy even remotely connected to the underworld knew what Asdi was. Five years ago, a Rodian had flown a freighter in, it was filled to the brim with some sort of drug that the Republic couldn't interdict -mainly because they had no idea what it was.

Nor did the Rodian, he just knew that it would give a fantastic high and sold it for ridiculously low amounts of credits. Peopled bought it and used it through the outdated IV needle and pretty soon his market was clamoring for more. Their chant became "Asdi...asdi...." Calling the Rodian's name, since he never named the drug.

The Republic put a stop on the sale of it two years ago, but reports had always filtered in through the underworld about a shipment that made it through.

The side effects of this drug were enough to make Vynn stay away, not for all the Twi'lek slaves of Taris, Tatooine, and Nal Hutta combined! Addiction was guaranteed for any injection over four milliliters... and .079% of 5 liters came out to be... 394 milliliters!

Cursing this JoJo character in every language he knew, Vynn looked feverishly for a stimulant. Not just any stim, however, but one labeled Cryx... "Damn!" He shouted, "he destroyed it all."

((Ah, just RP'ing a little history to this... and adding more to Jojo's treachery of course :D))

Shara sighed and wiped off her hands, turning to face Kevak again. "He was tall, dark hair, brown eyes. Strong. He was handsome too."

She smiled,

"You remind me of him mostly because of the way you teach me. The way you take care of me. When you asked me if I trusted you before we broke into the base you reminded me of him too. I trusted him to the ends of the universe but he's gone now. I don't know what became of him. You certainly don't look like him much though." She winked, "I usually remember people who look like *you*."

A guy who looks and acts like me!?!? This is far from a coincidence Kevak thought to himself.

This was true, Kevak had been in this suit of his for sometime but the fact that this guy acted and looked like him began to give him the creeps.

"Was the first thing he taught you Unarmed combat... and did he have a scar like a dragon on his right arm?

Kevak had that dragon on his right arm, it was the mark of the clan he was raised by as a child.
