United We Stand

With Aeran and his friend 'guarding the rear' the Sith soldiers began to take casualties, but they kept up the attack nonetheless, they started to throw grenades and thermal detnators at the ship, which wouldnt damage the ship with its shields on but would possibly cause panic and a lot of damage to the receivers.

"Artillery, fire another salvo of tear gas at the ship." The captain ordered with a smirk.

Another rumble was heard in the distance as gas canisters landed all around the ship, causing more gas to land around it.

"Kevak, there's another group coming... And that guy was way to easy to beat. There's something wrong here."

Kevak tried to say something but a blaster bolt had just gone past his head. He activated his lightsaber and turned in the direction of the shot. He began walking forward towards the group as they shot at him. The soldier's were panicking now for what they saw scared them. The armored man in front of them was still walking forward even though they shot him. They heard swooshing noises but that was it. Kevak was deflecting the blaster shots at a high speed giving him the appearance that he wasn't deflecting them at all. Kevak got closer and closer to the group waiting to make the kill.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Taven watched as the sith soldiers were taking more losses than wins... actually a lot more losses. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted the republic soldier and the mando.

"Hey, watch this" he said to Aeran.

Taven threw a thermal detonator into the air and watched it fly over to where the mandalorian was. Taven picked up his sniper and fired and the detonator scoring a hit. Quickly he turned to the republic soldier and fired where his chest currently was.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Kevak continued his assault until he finally reached the first soldier. Kevak lunged at him and sliced his head off. Another soldier pulled out a vibrosword and charged Kevak from behind, ready to avenge his comrade's death.

Jaq was launched in the air, as the blast from the thermal detonator had errupted in front of him. He guarded his face with his gauntlet as the fire encircled him, and was launched in the air.

Jaq fell to the ground. He was getting weaker from the injuries he sustained. His hand clenched as he pulled the grass from its soil. He switched his cloaking device on, and groaned. He needed time to recover so he can get back into the game.

Aeran watched, and then saw as Jaq was nearly killed by a thermal detnator.

"Careful! You could of hit our own men!" Aeran said, using the excuze, he needed to make a move soon, but what was he going to do about his 'friend?'

"Ok... Im gonna say it, Im apart of that Republic group, your True Sith masters are attacking both Republic and Sith forces, with me being sided with the latter, because of that the Republic and Sith joined forces.. forming the unit your men are attacking, now you got a choice, you either come with me, or you retreat, and we will hopefully never meet again."

Aeran had his weapon ready to kill Taven in a millisecond but he didnt have it in a threataning way.

Jaq was launched in the air...

Thryyn was affected by the blast as well, but he got lucky. Jaq was in front of him, so the burly Mandalorian took the brunt of the Nuclear charge, while Thryyn only had to deal with the heat... and noise... and light.

All in the lightest possible armor.

Stumbling up from where he didn't remember falling, he couldn't really make out the world around him, just a really bright white seemed to fill up his world... that and the incessant ringing in his ears.

"commo check, Thryyn. Over." He said into his comlink... at least he thought he did. He couldn't hear his own voice!

Stumbling up, Thryyn blinked rapidly until he noticed two Sith standing together, and one of them had out a weapon... obviously ready to kill the other.

Aeran!

Thryyn tried to run as fast as his legs could take him, but he was easy prey for a sniper... Funny, the snipers have stopped. He thought... right before a patch of dirt in front of his feet exploded.

"Aeran!" He yelled, hoping to get a reaction out of one of the Sith... then he'd know which one he'd have to kill.

Running a quick mental inventory of his belongings, he realized that he'd dropped his sniper rifle -likely just melted steel now- and his blaster rifle was back where he'd dropped it earlier. That left just his hold-out blaster and combat knife.

Well, it was a messy job, but somebody had to do it.

Seeing Thrynn Aeran suddenly realised that he didnt have the chance to give the Sith a choice, he set the rifle to stun and fired 3 shots straight at Taven, at extreme close range and after using 3 shots he would definetly be stunned for atleast a few hours.

"You miss me?" Aeran replied, quickly firing on a couple of exposed positions to his left that only he could hit.

"Traitor! You Sith are all the same! No wonder many Republic soldiers joined us because they knew of your treachery!" The True Sith Captain yelled as he hauled a heavy repeating rifle to Aerans direction, before letting loose with 1800 rounds a minute.

"Ah christ!" Quickly hid behind the quickly disapearing rock.

"You miss me?"

Thryyn couldn't hear, still. But, watching the Sith gun down the other 'True' Sith with stunbolts, and then turn to fire at his own positions told Thryyn all he needed to know about who that Sith was.

Suddenly, a barrage of blasterbolts started up from a position, and the rock that Aeran ducked behind was starting to disintegrate under the merciless blaster fire.

Reaching into his coat, he was surprised to find that he had a concussion grenade in there that hadn't gone off. Setting the grenade to explode on contact, he threw it to about where the blasterfire was coming from, then started walking up the way with his hold-out blaster at the ready.

Sensing a Sith soldier creeping upon him with a vibroblade in hand, William turned around and grasped his entire body with the Force. As the would be assasin cursed and struggled to escape the invisible grip, William sent the man through several large rocks.

Hearing a war cry, he watched as another soldier charged at him firing his blaster rifle randomly. Sighing, William unleashed a torrent of Force Lightening upon him which filled the air with the smell of burnt flesh.

Shara watched the explosion from the thermal detonator blow Jaq into the air.

"Can you calculate the trajectory to find out where that came from?" Shara looked at the droid who was by her side still.

"Deet da beep dwwwooo." (Translation) "That's child's play. It came from about 200 feet away, to the north east, beyond those bushes."

"I'm checking it out. I don't think we could handle it if they've got any more thermals." Shara nodded, and clicked on her stealth generator.

******

Ardana watched in dismay as Shara dissappeared from her sight. She had been caught up in a duel between two Sith soldiers. She had killed them both, but had wanted to join Shara. The twi'lek groaned inwardly, then glanced around looking for more soldiers to take out.

******

Shara got closer to the bushes, and turned on her sound dampening device. She probably couldn't be heard through the blaster fire, but wanted to be on the safe side.

She came up behind a solider who appeared to be standing guard in the rear. She snapped his neck before he realized what was going on. Then, using her silencer she took out two other soldiers with a single shot to the head, each. The 10 or so other soldiers, and their leader, hadn't realized she was there yet. Shara, not knowing if she was up to the challenge backed away.

A soldier spoke up, "Taven sir, I don't see the woman anymore. Don't you think we should be watching out for everyone?"

'Taven.' Shara thought, 'Why does that name sound familiar?' Shara needed to get out of there, they had already realized she was missing, and it was only a matter of time before they saw the three bodies.

Taven couldn't even answer his new comrade especially after getting hit with three shots which were fortunately stun rounds. He watched as his captain fired at his new friend with a heavy repeating rifle.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

"Traitor! You Sith are all the same! No wonder many Republic soldiers joined us because they knew of your treachery!"

Kevak looked over and saw a sith shooting at another; it had to be Aeran. He jumped on the rock Aeran was behind and started deflecting the shots away at high speeds.

"Having fun Sergeant Drexel?"

Kevak couldn't keep this up, the sith had to run out of ammo eventually.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Taven crawled over to his sniper rifle while he watched Kevak Phobos deflect the shots. Taven took aim at the captain waiting to do this for so long. He fired and watched as the shot decapitated the captain. The soldiers ready to finish Taven off forgot he had one more thermal detonator. He threw it and shot at it again taking out 2 more soldiers and distracting the rest. Taven crawled to the rock and sat next to Aeran.

"Next time give me a chance to think before shooting me."

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Kevak focused on the group ahead of him now. He charged at them but tripped over a shimmering figure. Kevak fell to the ground but landed on his hand. He pushed himself back on his feet and attacked the group. He stabbed one sith and threw him into another. A soldier ran up behind him and hit him in the back with some type of electric staff. Kevak fell to his knees before being hit again. The sith troopers raised their blasters and took aim at Kevak ready to pull the trigger.

Aeran saw as the Captain was mowed down collectively by Thyrrn, Kevak and Taven, the rest of the Sith started to panic, most started to withdraw while still returning fire while some simply ran for it, they had won again.

"Well, I did the safer of the two options, and how the hell did you survive 3 powerful stun shots?" Aeran asked Taven, before reloading his rifle and getting ready to finish up, suddenly he saw Kevak in jeopardy, another group of Sith Soldiers and some close quarter specialist was giving him a hard time.

"Taven, focus your accuracy on that sucker with the Force Pike."

Aeran got a stun grenade ready and then threw it at the Sith, the blast only temporarily put them out of the fight as they then focused fire on the other members of the crew equally, atleast Kevak didnt have a full platoon shooting at him anymore.

Jaq groaned. He hadn't sustained this amount of damage for some time. He slowly reached out for his pouch and pulled out his only medpack. He opened it and injected himself with a dosage of Kolto. Within minutes, Jaq partially recovered. He needed some proper medical attention, but he was strong enough to stand and fight.

His cloak was still active. Jaq picked up his Vibroblade and glanced over at the squad of Sith Troopers. He krept up behind the one with the force pike and impaled his sword right through the weak spot on his back. The tip of the blade had pierced through the armor. Jaq slid the blade out and pulled out his Blaster Rifle. Using the attachment, he held the trigger down to charge up a power blast. Aiming at the squad, he released the trigger. The blast was enough to knock all the troopers down.

Jaq switched his cloak off and looked down at his fallen enemies. Some were still alive, while most were dead. He looked to where the fellow crew members were standing. "What are you girls looking at?"

Aeran looked in surprise as Jaq effortlessley wiped out all remaining Sith.

"So umm.... why didnt you bother doing that trick before?"

He then walked to the various Sith soldiers, helping himself to ammo, grenades and anything else that could be useful.

"We should clear out of here to give the Sith time to look after their wounded, because I dont think we can be lumbered with all these prisoners."

(When you say 'What prisoners?' Im refering to when phantom said that some fallen enemies were still alive.)

Kevak looked up ready to accept defeat when suddenly the soldiers were all blasted to the ground. Kevak got up slowly and looked at Jaq.

"Well that was very effective, thank you Jaq I owe you."

Kevak walked over to Taven and helped their new comrade up to his feet.

The droid who was glad to see the fighting was over rolled over to the group.

"Beep Bo Do!" (Translation) "Finally I can show this message!"

A small blue beam shot out to the floor and what looked like a soldier of some type was on the screen.

"Hello? This is Beta Squad broadcasting over every private Republic channel. We've been ambushed by the sith fleet and can't take to much more of this," The soldier looked over at an explosion which had just gone off next to him. "Please if anyone is out there, we're on Nar Shaadda and they've...." The message finished playing.

"So umm.... why didnt you bother doing that trick before?"

"And waste my ammo? This rifle attachment uses quite alot of energy to charge from my blaster rifle. You catch my drift."

He glanced over at Kevak. "Just doing my job..." he smirked. "And you're welcome. You can probably thank me by getting someone to treat my wounds when we get back to the ship."

Jaq watched as the droid displayed the emergency broadcast from Nar Shaadda. He crossed his arms. "Well, this isn't good... looks like they've infested the smuggler's moon."

He looked over at William, who hadn't said much. Then at Thrynn. "Where should we go from here? There still that Auroris-sith guy we have to take care of."

"Why are the Republic forces even at Nar Shaddar? Good thing its only Republic and not valuable Sith forces there, they should just let them take it, the True Sith will never conquer a planet where bounty hunters, assassins, and mercenaries are everywhere."

Aeran started to walk back to the ship, amongst the groans of the wounded Sith.

(Ill stop spamming for a while now, just wanted to have my say :p)

"Where should we go from here? There still that Auroris-sith guy we have to take care of."

"Darth Auroris will never be stupid enough to show himelf in a place such as Nar Shadda, where there is a higher chance he could be assasinated," answered William.

"Perhaps it is time to get in touch with our superiors and see if they've learned any new information," William said as he walked toward the ship.

"Where should we go from here? There still that Auroris-sith guy we have to take care of."

Thryyn looked over at the hologram that the droid had just played. "There really is no other course of action to take, we stay here and deal with Darth Auroris." He looked up from his hands where his gaze had landed after moving away from the droid. "Notice that the soldier didn't give any identification aside from Beta Squad."

He shrugged: "There's a corps stationed on Nar Shaddaa as far as I know.. and that's just regular Army. Once you bring in the Marines, Navy, and planetary guard that number jumps up to about sixty-thousand men. Now, assuming that Beta Squad is regular Army that gives us thirty-thousand men to chose from, nearly two-thousand and three-hundred squads, HQ's and Supporting elements.

"Now, if this 'Beta Squad' was truly asking for help, it would've identified itself as Beta-squad, second-platoon, Easy-company, 3rd Batallion, 4th Regiment, 7th Brigade, 6th Division, Seven-corps." He smiled as he finished speaking. "So, we can assume that this is a fake, meant to lure us to the Smuggler's moon.

"Besides, this type of call should've been make by an Officer, not a Staff-Sergeant.. though, if you look at his shoulder-flash..." Thryyn turned to address the droid.

"Could you redisplay the image of the message you just received?" After the droid beeped an affirmative, the hologram sprang to life.

"If you look at his shoulder flash, he's a Sergeant Major, like me... even though he's in command of a squad. Unless the garrison at Nar Shadda had been hit hard lately, that shouldn't be happening, since a squad is a Staff-sergeant's billet."

Thryyn then started sniggering. "Anyway, the military doesn't have any 'private' channels. Just channels that civillian radios can't reach and encryption... private channels." He sniggered again. "It's like something out of a bad holo-drama."

"Perhaps it is time to get in touch with our superiors and see if they've learned any new information[.]"

"Sounds good to me." Thryyn said after Graff finished speaking. "Always a good idea to keep current with Intel."

((Here is where I got all the information on Ranks and unit sizes... granted, its all based on the US military, but I think that the Republic is more in line with the US military than any other one... by the sheer fact of that's where Lucas is from.))

((And, as for the NS Garrison, I figured an Army Corps, a Division of Marines, and then an equivalent division of everything else... and Planetary Guard is just a stand in for National Guard... another reserve basically.))

(Its similar but not the same to the British Army, which Im joining soon)

"Pretty much what my Republic friend said, although I still wonder why the Republic would be so stupid to station troops on a lawless planet that isnt worth anything, why didnt they have those extra 60 thousand on a planet such as Dantooine, or Lehon? Or even the planet we are standing on right now?"

"Not like it matters, I agree with William that we should get updated on our mission, Ill be inside." He finished speaking as he quickly walked up the ramp to clean his equipment and Armour, which had somehow gotten back to the ship from when it was abandoned...

Or even the planet we are standing on right now?"

"Nar Shadda is the key to Nal Hutta, if one can conquer Nar Shadda, than Nal Hutta will fall easily. Besides, it's still a Republic World, do you really think that the Senate would condemn over sixty-million people to die? Think of what it would do to their approval ratings during the election cycle!"

Hiding a most un-professional smirk, Thryyn continued. "As for the extra sixty-thousand on Dantooine or Lehon... Well, I don't get invited to the Grand Alliance strategy meetings, so next time I go to one I'll be sure to tell you why there's a full corps and then some stationed there."

Thryyn then ducked into the ship and made his way to the med bay to fetch some kolto and other stuff for Jaq when he ran into Vynn...

---

Vynn stared at the Marine... Thryn was it? as he did the same. Looking down at his hands, which had just resumed their normal shape moments before the door had been so rudely opened by that Marine! He looked up at the Marine and giggled slightly.

"Hello." His Basic wasn't broken, and he didn't sound quite out of his mind -he thought- but somehow he had the impression that his face gave himself away to the Marine.

((I'd actually forgotten that you were going to enlist, Nifty...))

((speaking of forgotten, we were supposed to grab parts from that Walker droid-thingy  ))

Jaq walked into the medbay and took his jacket off. There was blood running down his face, given from the wound after sustaining the explosion. He slid his gauntlets off and detached the damaged torso part of his armor. He left his blood-stained shirt on, and placed the armor neatly on the floor.

Jaq washed his face. He suddenly realized they forgot about salvaging the droid. They may have to request Erik's permission to dismantle parts of his ship. It ought to be near-by.

Kevak let out a small sigh as he watched the others left for the ship. He made a few trips from the mech to the ship bringing back a collection of parts. Kevak walked back into the ship.

"I've got some parts from the mech, are they the right ones?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

On Coruscant a cloaked mechanical figure walked down the streets. He had been sent by the dark lord himself to kill Revan. It had been such a long time since he had killed, he couldn't wait to do it again.

Shara silently watched the message from the droid.

As she followed Kevak, she grimly helped him pick out pieces from the mech. They returned to the ship, and Shara remained in an almost dead silence. Which was unusual for her.

"I've got some parts from the mech, are they the right ones?"

The droid rolled over and did a quick scan on the parts.

"Blip da dwee dwet dwoo."

"He says it's all good. He'll get started right away." Shara said, breaking her silence.

She stared blankly at the droid, busying itself. Then spoke again,

"Kevak, Nar'Shadaa is my home. I have friends there, almost like family. We need to go, if Republic troops are there there are only a few logical explanations. One, they've finally decided to crack down on illegal operations like spice sumggling for instance, which," she added, "Would make no sense, considering how well armed and skilled the majority of the smuggler and merc militia are there." She rolled her eyes, "Or two. There's something more classified at work." She paused, taking a breath,

"I always knew there was a few soldiers stationed on Nar'Shadaa. But nothing ever major. I don't remember there ever being a squd there. I would have known about it." She shook her head.

"This could be a trap, but it almost sounds legit. And that is my home. I think we should risk it, dealing with a Sith Lord, after all the other stuff we've dealt with lately just doesn't really make me happy inside."

She managed her trademark Shara smile, which brightened her up a bit. She may have been what some believed to be a hard core mercenary, but she always considered herself Shara, her Daddy's girl. The one who liked to smile alot... and shoot off blasters.

Kevak listened to Shara's sad response. He too knew what it was like to have a group come together as a family. He would know the feeling of loss if the True Sith were truly invading. He had to think of someway to help out without just going there because someone missed family. Kevak looked back over to the droid.

"I need you to play that message one more time."

The droid gave some more beeps before playing the message. Kevak watched as the explosion went off in the background.

"Rewind it to a few seconds before the explosion and play it again."

Kevak watched the explosion go off once more.

"No weapon or explosive could have caused it, it had to be something else. Perhaps a tank of some sort... or a ship."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Taven had been walking around the ship looking for the medbay. After searching nearly every room he found it. Taven walked in to see the Mandalorian he had crippled earlier.

"um hey... about earlier, I had no idea Aeran was on your side otherwise I wouldn't have shot you. I happen to quite a good medic as well. When you have a very brutal instructor, you learn to patch yourself up and others.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

It was gloomy on Nar Shadaa, as it usually was. Apart from the killing, clubbing, and crime there wasn't much to do. Fortunately for HK-52 there was always killing. A local merc noticed the droid and walked up to him.

"Hey tin can just what do you think you're doing?"

Response: Waiting for the identified targets

"Oh really, and who exactly are they?"

Response: They are none of your concern

Threat: However I can make you one of them

"I'd like to see you try"

Response: Very well

The merc reached for his blaster but was stopped dead in his tracks by a vibrosword.

Statement: A pleasure doing business with you

HK-52 removed the sword from the merc's chest before leaving him there to bleed.

Jaq smirked as he look from the basin up at Taven. "Peh... I've bin through worse. Don't worry about it..."

He passed Taven a dosage of kolto and an injector. "Fill that up. I gotta clean this wound on my chest and quaterize it with the medical laser. COuld you heat that up too while you're at it?"
