Kibou
I recently re-installed Jedi Knight 1-3 to have some fun with beloved classics. Wondering if there might be some nice fan-made additions I checked the internet - and was overwhelmed by the mass of mods, total conversions, etc. that are available for download! I really need some help there: What are the very best, most valued mods for the Jedi Knight games? It doesn´t matter if it´s a mod, a total conversion, a campaign or something else. It should be for Singleplayer, thou, and it should´ve been released already. Two things I´m especially interested in: 1. Is there a (finished) mod/total conversion, that re-creates Jedi Knight 1 in the engine of JK2/3? There is a threat about such a project for JK2, but work on it seems to have just begun. 2. If not, are there any mods that improve the visual quality of JK1, like hi-res texure-packs, detailed models or anything like that? Are there any mods of that kind for JK2/JK3? Thanks a lot! Inyri
1. No, nothing finished. 2. Yes, there is a mod that updates many of the JK1 models to the quality of the Quake 3 engine (as good or better than JK2/JK3, actually). You can find it here. Highly recommended, but can be a bit of a pain to get working properly. Make sure to follow the instructions and check to make sure you have the requirements. ET Warrior
Tell me more of this...'Jedi Knight' of which you speak. It sounds intriguing!

IG-64
JA+ is a must. http://jediknight3.filefront.com/ <- you can find most of the popular ones there. And of course the IG-64 pack is the best mod ever. No really, it is.

IG-64
Luigi tiene no zapatos? Oh yeah, that was a bug I never really fixed. If you really do care, just pick up the original one.

Kibou
I tried the JK_enhanced mod, it´s a great improvement! I also downloaded some other things from the site Inyri linked too. A tool for improved mousewheel support and a mod that adds a hud you can actually read at 1280+ resolutions are very useful. I had a look at the pages of JA+ and IG-64, but both seem to be pure multiplayer mods (I´m looking for Singleplayer). Is that right? I´ll also try out the Dark Forces Mod for JA. For future reference, the things I tried out and liked are: Jedi Knight Patch Commander tool to manage your mods Jedi Knight Enhanced New, detailed models (enemies, weapons, items) with hi-res textures. Jedi Knight Retexture Pack Texture Pack. JK HUD Revamp replaces the old hud that´s much to small on high resolutions JK Mousewheel Support bind mousewheel to whatever you like (e.g. weapon or force switching) Hi-Fi MotS Sounds high-quality sound effects for Mysteries of the Sith. Inyri
JA+ is overrated as a multiplayer mod anyway. If you're looking for JK3 single-player mods there are a variety of short campaigns, such as Escape from Yavin IV and the Nina series. You can find them at JK3Files.com with a quick search, either using the search function or checking those categories. Best way to find mods you like, though, is to browse sites and read descriptions. Kibou
Best way to find mods you like, though, is to browse sites and read descriptions. That´s right for sure, but if you´re not a part of the Jedi Knight community, and don´t know whats been going on about JK on the net in the past years, it is hard and confusing to find the best stuff. So it´s nice to get some tips I think I have everything I need for Jedi Knight 1. There seem to be no visual enhancements for Mysteries of the Sith, is that right? What is the best site to look for Jedi Outcast mods? Are there any that are especially valued in the community (tweaks/improvements for the game itself or singleplayer mods/total conversions)? Inyri
I believe there is an equivalent patch for MotS at the hub, but I'm not certain. Having actually grown up with those games, though, the graphical quality does not bother me so I haven't searched very hard.
MrWally
Having actually grown up with those games, though, the graphical quality does not bother me so I haven't searched very hard. That's actually quite true. A game that I used to play in '96 will just feel so intuitive and genuine for me, and the old graphics won't make a difference. But if I play a game from that same era that I've never played then it feels clunky and outdated.
leXX
Make sure you get the Kunoichi skin for JK2/3. I heard some awesomely talented person made it.
Kibou
I tried the Dark Forces Mod for JA yesterday, which is a great addition to the game. I also looked through the files for Jedi Knight 2 at jk3files.com, but didn´t download any. It seems there´s only stuff like lightsaber-tweaks and background-pics for the startup-screen, no mods that really improve upon the game or add a new campaign with new content like the DF2 Mod. I´ll have a look at the Jedi Knight 3 stuff on jk3files.com later.
