Shem
Seems like everyone enjoyed the post we recently published on funny stop signs, so we went out and found some more news on weird roadside signage... EnderWiggin
Thats awesome, people who don't find it funny need to chill out and lighten up more. Umm, yeah it's funny as a practical joke, but think about it from the other perspective. Would you like it if that sign was outside of your front door? And you certainly can't fault the government for not being happy. But yeah, that's hilarious. _EW_
Jae Onasi
I wouldn't want a copulation sign outside my front door, thanks. Funny as it is, I have young children, the younger of which really isn't ready for that level of information. I don't know if Australia's as litigious as the US, but if there's an accident due to the false signage, the gov't could get sued, so I'm sure there's going to be a crackdown on it. The before and after of the bird was hilarious, however, as was the $200 fine for dying from touching the electrical wires.
DarthJebus05
Living in Australia myself, I know, not personally, the guy who is doing this. Just his name. Anyway, that bird is a Cassowary, and that sign wasn't done by him. Up the northern part of Australia, known as Cape York, someone actually painted the sign with the BUMP, adding a face and legs of a cassowary, and then putting another one underneath of it, of a live one. The people loved it so much that the government actually installed real signs of the piece of art.
Da_man
The hump one made me laugh. I can't imagine the trouble the guy would have gotten in after doing these things.

TSR
but if there's an accident due to the false signage, the gov't could get sued, so I'm sure there's going to be a crackdown on it. Well, seeing as Americans like to sue each other for as much as breathing at the wrong moment, so I'm sure another lawsuit wouldn't worry them too much. The English signs warning of elderly people crossing always give me a chuckle when i pass them..and seeing as my Firefox is being awfully slow at opening any non-bookmarked page lately, you'll have to Google it yourself.
