Aash Li
Otherwise known as SimEvolution... ohnoes my creationism is being threatened! lol Anyway... has anyone preordered and tried the creature creator you get with it? If so, has anyone figured out how the heck you make different bodies? >.< All I can do is make the worm-looking body (just a tube).
Inyri
I played with the demo briefly yesterday (will definitely have to get this game!). Seems like the body shape is random when you go to create a new creature, so if you don't like your starting spine just cancel and start again til you get something you like. As far as the rest, it's your responsibility to give it a head/arms/legs/etc. If you drag the vertebrae around you can change the body shape and angle. For instance pull the vertebrae up and you have a biped. Drag it down and you have a quadruped. Experiment.
mur'phon
In case you didn't know, use the mousweel when selecting bone in the body to change its size. Doing this lets you create all the "standard" shapes, plus some hillarious ones.
HerbieZ
It does look good, however i have yet to see a 'clean' character design. Most of the ones I've seen have been vile, even by my standards.
Aash Li
I would like to see human-like ones. Complete with hair... and boobs. xD

Aash Li
Shut-up... lol Thats not SPORE with humans... thats Barbie Virtual Reality.

Aash Li
Besides, I said human-like, as in humanoid... not animal-humanoid.
Inyri
I'm sure in the full version there are a plethora of additional head options -- after all, did you notice they were all carnivore heads? We're gonna have to wait til September to see the game's full potential. I'm definitely going to get it, though; as a biology major in college I simply can't pass up a game about evolution! gm5k
im very interested, although to me it looks a bit too cartoony for the subject matter. guess that's just a personal preference though.
Serpentine Cougar
Lol @ Aash/Inyri... I'm eagerly anticipating this game, but I don't want to spoil any of the fun by playing around with the creature creator beforehand, so I'm (not-so) patiently waiting for its release. Relenzo2
That's why I still have that $50, you know... just hope my computer can run it. Man, just think how sad that would be...
Bob Lion54
The Creature Creator is fun. I made this guy: and this guy: and a bunch of others, but those are my favourite screenies.
Quanon
It does look good, however i have yet to see a 'clean' character design. Most of the ones I've seen have been vile, even by my standards. I've seen several YouTube clips of creatures that got banned by EA, indeed certain creators went for... rather adult orientated shapes in their creatures. Though it was rather hilarious to see them jump, dance and run. Saddly the demo doesn't want to run on my Laptop... sigh... a bad sign, I would really like to buy this game. I was in luck to test the demo on another PC at my cousins house it was fun.
