Crafted by the mysterious Talortai, the exact origin of this saber is unclear. Once carried by the fearsome Tyrus Fen, this weapon has been sought after by collectors across the galaxy.

I like the texture on the hilt (so much detail), and also the holes at each end. Is that a metal blade attached to the hilt?! If so thats just freakin sweet! I do love your lightsabers.

More great work from E-varmint Nice texture details, and I like the blade emiters (are the holes for heat dissipation I wonder?).

 

As for the metal blade clipping into the leg, would rotating the model slightly make a difference? Or would that just make it look weird when a character holds it while standing?

Yes, he has. When I mentioned me and him collaborating on a Lightsaber pack once I learn to model lightsaber hilts, he loved the idea. He'll help me with the UV Map once I get there...

That's a nifty saber in that link! At some point, probably in collaboration with TG, I will put a Pak together. I will also release the Episode IV-Style doublesabers as a Pak.

I think the way to fix it would be to make a massive bayonnet-style blade that faces forwards. This saber may actually look better with the blade removed altogether. I may make another all-galvanized one with the blade.

 

How do you think of this stuff?

 

I'm an engineer (of sorts) by trade, so I see the world in terms of gears, pulleys, and duct tape. I usually just turn on AutoCad, make some basic shapes to start with, and see what happens.

BTW: That new intro movie is much better than the original, it perfectly portrays what some people suspected. Ambushed like they say ingame

Its actually a fairly simple process. Back before EV disappeared, he taught me how to do it. I'll definitely be posting a topic about it in holowan soon.

It is rather simple. You actually don't have to do it if you don't want to as I was getting ready to release a saber pack with this feature integrated with an explanation on how to do it put in the readme. But if you want to fine. I can't (nor do I want) to tell you what to do. Saves me from having to continuously wait for a reply from svosh to resolve some permissions. BTW do you know where EV learned to do it. As far as I knew, I thought only T7 knew how to do it as he released a mod on PCGM and posted it on his website before it went down. Which is how I learned, by using T7's mod that I downloaded by viewing his website with the wayback machine.

I suspect though that you'll have to use cheats/KSE.
