Thos two guys were epic in their mockery. I always got a kick out of how much he loved the show and ended up writing for it, and yet all his appearances have him seemingly hating his time there. Looking at old clips it is amazing how many cultural and popular references from the time it had. And Dr. Strangepork is probably one of the greatest character names of all time.
