Alpharaider47
I am considering starting a mod to replace the Ebon Hawk in game with the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 from Star Trek. I was wondering what specific model format I would need to replace the EH model ie .3ds, .odf, etc. I'm also unsure as to if I'd need to add any animations or anything. So to make it a bit organized, basically what I'm trying to do is: Replace the Ebon Hawk model in game (landed version) to the Enterprise from Star Trek Change the turret mini games so that the lasers are blue and the model as seen from the turret looks like the Enterprise Re-texture the interior to appear polished white with some kind of soft blue textured lights (still giving off regular white lighting) If you've got any tips, suggestions, or links to guides for this, I'd appreciate it. Wow, I'll be amazed to see that put into a map clipping ftl. on the side note I will have to see how big 24 metres are *gets metre stick*
Rtas Vadum
Wow, I'll be amazed to see that put into a map clipping ftl. on the side note I will have to see how big 24 metres are *gets metre stick* Only place I'd ever seriously imagined the Hawk sitting in or on is either a large parking lot or a football field. It would be interesting to see the Enterprise replace the Hawk. Namely since I'd love to see where you put the invisible placeable for the entry point. Alpharaider47
Yeah I'm planning to see if I can scale it down. As for the entry, I'll see If I cant just put it in front lol. I've never tried this before so it will be interesting. At the moment I'm playing with the Sovereign class one. I might just try and replace a blaster with it or something to get it into the game, to make sure I can lol.
ForeverNight
Please, then, for all that is good, mark it as the NCC-1701E as opposed to the straight NCC-1701. Anyway, have you considered a shuttlecraft as opposed to seeing the whole darn thing on the planet. And, anyway, the E is massive compared to the Constitution, so it's going to be, easily, double or triple the length. So, again, try a Shuttle or a runabout. HK-42
You cant just replace the ebon hawk model, you have to edit the actual area model, as the ebon hawk is fused with the area model. And all model files in KOTOR/TSL are in MDL format, which you can use nwmax and mdlops to make.
Marius Fett
Sorry to rain on your parade here, but the area models that were made by Bioware don't like being edited. Several people have tried it, and all have come to the same conclusion. No reason you can't replace the interior however.
Canderis
You could make it invisible with texture editing and then place it there with scripts. Although I think(not sure) that you cant intersect the module itself with placables.
Alpharaider47
hmm yeah I've got a few shuttle craft, I was also considering a stargate (off topic but oh well) I dunno if I said this before, but I've never tried anything like this, thats why I need feedback. Thanks for tips/comments so far. I don't expect to get much work done anytime soon though, I'm in the middle of moving... Also, if I do manage to get the exterior done (midget enterprise? lol) I was hoping I could mess around with the enterior and see what I could do there.
