Have you been? It looks really small on that map. The satellite image shows nothing.
Guy.brush
We once had a pretty cool "Monkey Island" bar that was on a sandbank in the middle of the river that flows through Duesseldorf.
jp-30
No, never been. Also, there are no native Land Mammals in NZ, so no idea how it was named. It probably looks like a Monkey or something. Someone at Mojo has been there, as I've seen a photo of them pointing at the Road Sign. Also, maybe try google earth for a better look. Oh, here are some photos. http://www.westernsouthland.co.nz/pages/viewentity.php?entity=

LordTrilobite
That Melee Town looks almost spot on, amazing. And a Monkey Island isn't a real Monkey Island without a giant monkeyhead.

Sven_Q45
Yeah: (China) http://maps.google.de/maps?t=h&hl=de&ie=UTF8&ll=16.19918,120.03293&spn=0.05918,0.077248&z=14 http://www.adventure-treff.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=327393#p327393 And that´s not all: http://www.svenheidel.de/mi-inside/sarushim.php Translate Sarushima into English and you get: Monkey Island. This all could be the secret of MI! It´s not in the Carabbean. Edit: But think of the secret: This could also be too easy...
daltysmilth
I wonder if Ron Gilbert or the people at Telltale know about these places. Could make for a good inside reference in the next episode of TMI.
